There are two groups

Now you said that Muslim men are allowed to marry women of the book. Women in category 1 because they are not idolaters. At least they better than idolaters.

Then the Hadith says do not give your daughters I.e for Muslim men to Mushirk( idolaters) these are people in group 2. Not group one. People of the book are not Mushirkoons.

Then you went ahead to say that Muslim women are not allowed to marry Christian and jews. Is this not a wrong interpretation.
