No.

I hate doing CBT when the question is hard.
I stopped at number 86 and the computer logged me out.
I did lot of guess work and wasn't expecting any better - it was my worst exam.
I was expecting B by God's grace but had C. cry
I thought its PPT, am wondering y they adopted CBT this year........was CBT also used for the other courses undecided

Putting it bluntly, from merit point of view, you have no chance,

If you know someone who is strong, your chance is 50-50

If your faith in God is high, It is 100%; but if I were in your shoe and I really love pharmacy, I will try buying the form but I no go pick unilag o because they cannot leave their own jupeb and pick degree plus I go buy jamb form and use my experience to score reasonable mark.

My opinion though.

My brothers on this thread, wetin Una think.
johnsonodii , follow this advice....It's better you pick another university where your chances will be high cos after checking the previous pharmacy DE admission list, most of those admitted were Jupeb and d rest were Cambridge A'level holders

I actually want to apply for direct entry pharmacy with Bsc in biochemistry 2.1... What do you make of chances? Do you think my chances r high cos I know in this country it's always your money or who you know thanks
I can't really say if your chances are high because UNILAG considers their own JUPEB/foundation programme first for Direct Entry Admission before other applicants( Cambridge A'level,etc).....And even if they consider BSc. Holders, those with Higher CGPA have an edge over others

Onyx5312:
if it is possible i will like to know the university so that i can apply.
most universities in Nigeria that Run d MBBS programme accept students through DE........But in UNILAG its extremely competitive because about 85-90% of students accepted are from their foundation(Jupeb) programme and d remaining 10-15% are for BSC and Cambridge A'level holders...........Cambridge A'level are mostly considered , meaning those with BSc will have to have an extremely high CGPA in order to be considered for admission( you'll have to make sure you're at d top of the table)......NOTE: everything I said above is for Unilag only, I dont know that of other schs....But my advice is that if your CGPA is not that high don't choose unilag.

MBBS does not allow direct entry
you're wrong.......students are admitted via DE into MBBS......N Op, Science courses especially Biochemistry which could also be classified as a Basic Medical Science course and also Anatomy and Physiology are accepted for DE.....but its usually very competive n you'll need to be on at least a 2.1

Pls.... How will a polytechnic student apply for direct entry... Do they still have to buy jamb direct entry form and wait for a proposed screening.......
based on how its done in Unilag, no entrance exam is conducted for DE applicants......they'll arrange d appplicants result from highest to lowest n they pick those with d highest CGPA or point..........Other universities may also apply this method.......And yes, they'll still need to buy jamb DE form

Following the scrapping off postume, does it mean that there will be no postume this year? If true, how will admission process look like, especially for DE students?
An entrance exam doesn't need to be done for DE as it's done in UNILAG......they use ur previous degree certificate/Alevel only.....which means those on 1st class have an edge over others

I cannot really say, because there is no easier way to differentiate the two groups, unless if you know them individually and you follow their academic performances. But speaking from experience, i noticed that the A levels guys do better, I know some of them personally. But I don't believe this subject of discourse has anything to do with IQ, but i think there are factors militating against the performances of the the degree holders. These include:Age, level of distractions (some are married while others are independent) and the ' I have done it before syndrome' etc.
yeah, i concur

I get what you are saying, but I think it's more of an assumption than a fact. From experience i have noticed that graduates (direct entry guys) deviate greatly from expected level of performance. It's actually easy to acertain this, because they thread behind everyone on the results sheet, having different matric numbers from other students. So one can easily check from the matric number one year lesser than his, to the last person on the list. That gives you the statistics of the DE geeks. The direct entry guys are mostly graduates the majored in one of the 3 BMS courses. But it's shockingly amazing, that when the in courses or even the main exams results are released, they end up performing poorly, even in the courses they majored. The reason for this, is yet to be ascertained and I think it's an interesting area of research. But what i just told you is no gossip neither an assumption, and it's currently happening in many schools including my school. But remember, i used the word"mostly"meaning that there few exceptions. But from records available to me, I'm yet to see or hear about any DE guy gunning a distinction even in the course he majored. Good morning and have a nice day.
it only applies to DE students that entered with a 1st degree n not those that entered with A'level and its equivalent
