Working assiduously in fulfillment of its legislative mandate, the Senate on Thursday, May 3, 2018 considered and approved the Reports of nine legislation and ultimately passed same into law. All the Bills were hitherto passed into law but were returned as a result of observed shortcomings and re-introduced as well as progressed to the second reading stage and referred to the Committee of the Whole for further legislative inputs. Among the Bills read the third time and passed into law were:

1) The National Assembly Budget and Research Office (NABRO) Bill, 2018 (S.B. 656).

2) Corporate Manslaughter Bill, 2018 (S.B. 657).

3) Forestry Research Institute of Nigeria Bill, 2018 (S.B. 658).

6) Nigerian Academy of Sciences Bill, 2018 (S.B.662).

7) Animal Health and Husbandry Technologist Registration Board of Nigeria Bill, 2018 (S.B. 664).

8.) National Child Protection Bill, 2018 (S.B.665).

I want to go for jupeb bt am confused on the university to go for.
My choice has been down to uniben and unilag, i need the help of those that have done jupeb in these universities to pls help me choose which university is better to do it in and has a high chance for gaining admission.

Pick UNILAG...And yes, I did their JUPEB programme . Your chances of gaining admission is higher provided you meet the cutoff point compared to UNIBEN as majority of those that'll be admitted via DE will be from JUPEB. But it's more expensive at UNILAG....

what course do u plan on going for ?

Partially true though....The power supply in CMUL/LUTH is now 24/7 but they usually cutoff power supply to the hostel btw 9/10am and 4/5pm from Mon-Fri so has to channel more power to the hospital during these active period. Besides most students will be in class during this period , so it's not much of a big deal....

it's feasible provided you meet the cutoff point . the result can be used in any of the affiliated schools..

Dont mind the guy. all what I said is true cos I was one of the beneficiaries 2 sessions ago. Another is even due for last session which they'll pay soon.

lies.they only give you an option of work study where you may choose to work in the school ..maybe in the medical unit by assisting in sorting out drugs or teaching those with lower gp

Yeah, it's true. For first class students though and it's for every session provided the person's CGPA as at the end of that session is 4.5 and above..... they also give student leaders, disabled students and sportsmen/women,etc

I applied for my transcript in UNILAG since feb, 15. Sadly, after 2 months of waiting, it hasn't been processed.
It is clearly stated that 4 weeks max, the doc will be delivered to destination

I may loose my admission for fall session due to the incompetence of some set of people.
I am really bothered, worried and confused.

ANY ADVICE.... HELP will be greatly appreciated.

My immediate guts gives the following options:

1. Mail UNILAG records office
(which i have done severally and have yielded no result)

2. Mail the VC (Management) reporting the records office
(I think this will work)

3. Send someone to physically go to the office.
(Strongly discouraged by office on their webpage with threat that they wouldn't be attended to)

4. Keep searching for help(open to dis, but the results aint feasible)

5. Hunt for an insider whom i can bribe.
(not morally right though)

the delay could have been as a result of NASU strike which was called off few weeks back

apart from medicine and nursing...... it's only anatomy and physiology that is available in Unilorin.

She should change to nursing instead......Won't advice anyone to study Anatomy or physiology at undergraduate level or change to another school with other medical courses

My younger sister applied for medicine but she didn't meet the cutoff for medicine, so she is planning to change it to either anatomy or physiology..... please I need help to guard her, please which one is better in terms of employment opportunities.

You either make UNILAG ur first choice or pick another school as 2nd choice so as to increase your chances

No, AAB is 15 points and AAA is 16points. An extra point is awarded if the student doesn't get F in any of the subjects

UNILAG does not consider 2nd choice candidates not even with a score of 400

U don't need a license 2 work as a scientist. A doctor can be a scientist but a sciencetist can't be a doctor so now does a doctor need a licence 2 work as a scientist? ur licence is ur degree and ur commitment or hardwork.

UNILAG does. But you need to have a very strong CGPA (a first class will guarantee you admission) as you'll be competing with those with JUPEB, Cambridge A'level, etc. And majority of those that'll be admitted will be from JUPEB, so there'll be limited spaces for BSc holders making it very competitive
