erico2k2: OK let me xplain more.if we borrow 50 trillion and our power sector become stable wo t U shoit up PDP?point Im trying to rais is debt is a must if development must go on.how and where do U want FG to ger the money to build roads.bridges and support various project.mind you the sole source of income for the payment of civil service os money derived from Oil sales which aint even enough
the nigerian govt's situation is different bro, there is almost no govt industry around anymore to create wealth (or payback the borrowed monies) 4 d govt cos theyve sold out almost all d income earning mechanisms for small CHANGE, its a diff tin if d govt has infrastructure on ground and borrows money which it can payback through it asset, meanwhile our oil reserve and returns only serves the belly of the few oppressors ohhh

Gboliwe: Haba! In Kaduna state, this is seen in the houses of "big men". Its a show of hospitality. Different people drink from it from same cup dipped in same pot. Ewwwwwww.

I drank from it too several times at a much younger age.

Then, my granma has one too in the village. We (family) all drank from it too. She is long dead and I have no idea if the pot lives on.
it marvels me how the pot actually cools water... i drank from it while serving in kebbi about a year ago... shared 1 cup wit eybody who drank from it...

lakpalakpa: You are a moronic illiterate with an IQ that is less than that of a retarded snail.

Nigerian Universities are ill-equipped and grossly underfunded, annually churning out poorly trained and unemployable Graduates. That is a fact even you cannot deny. I wonder why you then expect me to applaud the opening of more illiterate-incubation-centers.
oh boi nigerians can yab ohh

erico2k2: Have you bothered to check what eh USA owes? you will realise we owe nothing
ehm... so if someone else's situation is worse than your's, you give yourself a pat on the back right, btw the USA you are quoting is in a lot better standing than we would EVER be, good roads, clean, employment, standard of living, electricity, correct strong stable and cheaper network (to browse till mama calls), the list goes on... so pls don't compare...

rutibaby: Don't think I have time 2 continue reading that.

When will pay off d debt?
Does it concern d citizens?

I pray govt. won't increase our taxes so they can clear off that debt.

Just thinking aloud sha.

Nigeria - giant of debts.

I wish them the best. Ride on.
sorry but your taxes don't pay off debts brother, the only thing your tax does is enrich the pocket of already rich men at your own peril...

Sweetlemon: That's not the sad thing. The sad thing is that people still want him there just to satisfy their sentiments.
He is not there to satisfy any sentiments, but rather the people that WANT him there KEEP him there to enrich their already filled pockets at the expense of the populace(empty pockets, who CAN'T and WON'T fight for what's right) while the populace praise and worship them and suffer the nonsense results.

These debts are what SOME use as their wealth (looted wealth) and the poor pays the consequences.

So all those calabar festivals were run on debts huh angry cheesy huh tongue undecided cry

Car TalkRe: At What Age Did U Start Driving And How Many Days It Took You To Be Perfect . by DAVE5(m): 4:40pm On Aug 15, 2014
Chynx: I started driving at the age of 13. My Dad owned a scrap Peugeot 404 truck which was obviously a Manually transmitted vehicle. My elder brother (who was 15 at that time) and I, used to start the truck by joining two wires together because the key ignition system was bad and my Dad had it hotwired. (Money no dey to buy new ignition). We use the handle of a spoon or any flat metal to release the steering lock, by turning on the ignition first before joining the wires. The truck was always at home, while Dad and Mum were away at work. The family only took it to the farm on Saturdays. That gave room for plenty of time to practice what we watch Daddy do. grin

I Did my first interstate drive from Benin to Owerri at 14. It was my Dad's Peugeot 504 this time. My Mum had to travel for August meeting; needed to be mobile in the village but did not have the heart to drive herself through the highway. I took the vehicle down to the villa for her...and enjoyed almost two weeks of a lovely August villa experience.

I still have my very first learner's permit which was arranged for me at the age of 14 (Naija Factor), and which I would have shared on this forum...but for security reason due to the "faceless forum" thingy. I believe I was one of the youngest drivers on the streets of Benin at some point.

My longest drive was from Owerri to Sokoto. That was during my NYSC days. My Dad had got me a brand new car then (Toyota Corolla 1.8GLI...European) as a graduation gift. I did not want to leave the car for anyone to damage...so I insisted on taking my car with me for the twelve (12) months that I was going to be away, serving my country.

It was a tough trip...as I had to tango with a "The Young Shall Grow" luxurious bus driver somewhere around Minna in Niger state. He agreed to show me through the rest of the journey if i stayed close; so I followed his trail through Kaduna, Katsina, Gusau in Zamfara and finally, Farufaru in Sokoto. I hear whiiiiiiin!

Driving is pleasurable...if you've got the will.

Cheers.
story story...

started driving manual at 17 (took me some time though)

BusinessRe: CBN Reintroduces N65 Charges On Cash Withdrawals On ‘other Banks’ Atms by DAVE5(m): 3:26pm On Aug 14, 2014
ayukdaboss: Our banks may pay for our ATM services but they steal much more secretly or openly. Every month FirstBank charges me about 160naira for SMS charges and some other things I don't even understand yet I don't get any messages at all from them.

My folks who use more services at the bank complain about secret minor deductions regularly etc. yet this man wants us to start paying for our atm services. These banks are clearly getting more gain from us than this 65 naira we're about to start paying them. So if I wan withdraw 1k from another bank I go pay 65naira??

Oh Sanusi where art thou?? Come and save your people
lipsrsealed
i was charged like dis by first(from behind grin) bank, so i complained to the bank several times and all dey say is its sms charges wen i dint get alerts at all... dat bank is screwed 4 real...recently i withdrew wit ATM, money dint come out, went to d bank and they said there was no info on ma withdrawal (maybe cos they know i dont get alerts) so ma money jst flew off like dat but tank God it was a small amt

ayando: . If genetics is the major factor, then it is right to say other factors can't make significant improvement. Is it right also to fault the parents for this problem? And lastly, why do we have exceptional kids even when they are from poor parents or illiterate ones?
please i'd like to point out 1 thing, illiteracy and brilliancy are two diff things, one could be literate and not brilliant, while some illiterate pple as u wld call dem are exceptionally brilliant and would outperform so many literate people if given the right skill and chance...our forefather were illiterate according to our current standards but if they are given the necessary tools they would work magic wink
