So a car will just break down after....... cars break down after full making the final payment. grin . Evidence please huh

Some people buy used cars that are 10 years old and it never gives no trouble for 5 years and more ... My friend bought a brand new range rover and that car has been trouble here and there... either Hcp, PCP or cash buy buy a good performing car and it will ride well regardless of any payment schedule

If you want to do pcp that fine but what you just typed me too i dont agree
well most new cars come with 3yr warranties which is when most of the breakable parts or electronics start falling apart

I have heard some financial experts describe PCP as the most wicked financing scheme available. It doesn't make much sense to me. I would rather have equity in the car.
Look at it this way. You must pay for the lost value of the car and then other costs including interest and profit for the provider. If a car is worth 20k and loses about 3k as soon as you drive out then that 3k will be passed to you and if it depreciates to 10k at the end of the contract, you would most likely have paid about 15k. The company can go ahead and sell the car for 10k and leave you with nothing, all your money gone like that. Not even deposit money for another car.
i think when people go to dealerships, they are mesmerized into making this transactions. Nobody wants to feel inadequate or look poor, especially proud British people. and the monthly payments appear reasonable. But when you look at it on the whole, it makes more sense. Anyway, in Nigeria where we come from, the concept of selling a used car is only just taking old.Inthe past we would just leave our cars to rot away in the backyard

Goodmorning , I am a MSc student on tier 4 visa. I want to invite both Dad and Mum(Both Retired Teachers, Pensioners) over for my wedding, is it okay for me to apply for tourist visa so they can attend the wedding or just send an invitation for wedding? My Aunt. who is a British Citizen is suggesting of sending my Mum and Dad an Invitation by herself for holiday just for them to come in during that wedding period. Thanks and I look Forward for your suggestions
Good idea...please takeur first application very seriously, if they deny it, it will always come up on future application. i would suggest you even use an immigration lawyer to make sure it is water tight....alsonote, Home office don't refund visa money....so you don't fund summer holiday for their staff....They have chop about 5 applications for my mum and brother....very painful

I haven't bought a car yet, nether have I bought insurance.

But I've been driving a company car for about 6 weeks now (with company insurance).

Will this driving experience give me a discount when I eventually buy my own car insurance? I'm also 30+ years old.

I recently used Quotezone to get a quote and the cheapest I got was £789.
not really sure about admiral and their littlebox. they put a device that monitors your mileage and increase ur premium as you go....it was very annoying for me. Initially spent 1,400 when registering. at the end of the year,i paid out 2k.....i didnt even use up all my mileage, and was expecting automatic refund, but they said i didnt reduce the mileage myself. So they didnt refund my excess premium....If you rev ur engine too much, they know...very crazy monitoring

Dear All, (especially @Lexus430).
First of all, my theory test was a one-time experience and it went well. I am happy.

Secondly, (and most importantly), I would like to get a first car. A little thing. Used. Max £800).
I have been looking at Gumtree and Facebook marketplace and recently e-bay. Autotrader seem expensive. I found 1 car auction company in Letchworth, Hertfordshire too.

Please what is the best way I could get a little Banger? Something little. A good runner. Dazzol.

I wish I could copy in @DaveChapelle in this request....
do you have a brand in mind....or are you a anything that gets me from A to B driver?

Hi everyone, please how can one scale the hurdle of credit check when seeking to rent a house. The 3 year UK residency criteria is posing a challenge. I'll appreciate a speedy respone please thanks.

@lexusgs430 @fatima04 @davechapelle @spacyzuma and others abeg make una help me put mouth for this matter
i think if an agent is giving you headache, just blacklist that agent and shop elsewhere....i havent been here upto 3 years and never had this problem, they usually ask foor employer reference or your job contract. i remember one asked me for 6months rent upfront. Those type of people might try to cheat you out of your deposit when you want to move out. read their google review page too

No both of them are Medics on tier 2. No property yet, and the lady refused to be a dependent under the guy. He cooks for himself, does everything like a single man, while the lady is also in another city, and visits mostly weekends. He is tired of being single, and married, and having a lady he thinks doesn't give him regard or have any real marriage values. She controls him, and always wants to have the last say. Unfortunately it's just one year.

Any long term consequence of divorce?

Will he pay any benefits at all?

Etc

Do some research and invest/trade a few grand in shares, they are a 'hidden' goldmine which a lot of middle-class immigrants tend to ignore. Put some spare £10,000-£20,000 into shares like Petrofac (PFC) or Severn Trent (SVT). The projected capital growth from their current share price coupled with the juicy mid-yearly dividend could give you a net return of at least 20%-25%/year. I know guys that borrow money on credit cards at 0% interest, invest in shares, pay off the credit card slowly with their monthly income from employment. Rinse and repeat the cycle again. When you do this a few times with £10,000 each time, you will soon have a share portfolio worth over £100,000.
lol, maybe in 3yrs time, when i pay off all my debts
