Onyi Echegini… born abroad.
Hmmm. Lagos ties again. That leaves 2. Unless she's referring to one of the 3 u20 ladies in the squad, that's when I'll kinda believe.

Even though the Swedish League isn’t as Strong as before it’s still top rated at no.5 in Europe behind the English WSL, French league1, Spanish Laliga, German Frauen Bundesliga…

This Girl finishing is just like that of Lyon Ada Hegerberg. Hardly take more than one touch and always shoot at side with a lot of precision..

I’m also very happy with the way her Dad post and hype her on his Facebook Page… Always comparing her daughter scoring abilities with his own… Good Dad 👍
She moved like Rinsola but is a box genius plus that finishing is exactly what we need. An Echegini/Payne behind her will be deadly. See how she was moving as her teammates were approaching the box, that's what we need. Also pace and precision when shooting, near or far.

To be fair, Rinsola's decision for the falcons was since last year. She's been working on her passport and all hence the delay.

But yes, we have to manage the influx of new folks especially foreign born Nigerians have to be properly managed.
It will be a super forward trio of she joins no doubt. Nff wing of locals though. They are the only ones we worry about. Then get one or two AM so we switch style of play to something SA has with Mothlalo and Seoponsewe, even better.

The AWCON doesn't really do anything for us ranking wise because every team at the tournament are already below us but if we lose a single match it will affect our ranking badly
That's the issue. And I can't wrap my head around this mystery. Especially as it is the exact reason other confed teams are getting massive climbs in last two years, including those that haven't kicked ball at the World Cup before. We meuve.
SportsRe: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by daveP(m): 11:12pm On Aug 03, 2023

Except the Falcons get past The R16 and QF… I bet they won’t be ranked past 25th…
If they reach quarters, nothing is stopping them from not entering top 25. Quality of England is going to make that totally possible if we beat them. The way Columbia climb is one reason I'm saying this.

Morocco won't make Top 30 even south Africa
practically they won't. They'll probably move up 20places at most after this tournament/by year's end.

Randy reportedly mentioned this. Read a story on this today. I think it was also reported in The Punch Newspaper
by 2027 WWC, i hope Local Players Branch of the team won't be fighting and bickering and making noise when they full the squad😆😆😆😆

But we fit use am get mad PR too sha. Cos many of these guys no dey look us with better eye before. Mtchew. See Rinsola for example. Chai. Irris well.

USA and Brazil may have to go back to their Westeros Warroom and repaint their map after this WWC. Demystified is the word.

It is rubbish jare.... But then we're not helping matter too. We should have climbed up more than this. Before Pinnick came on board, a year would go by without playing a single friendly. There is also the frequent losses too.
This one isn't even an internal issue. It's beyond our control. Many others too didn't really play anything. Okay Zambia that use friendlies to pack schedule like puffpuff basket nko? Still fare away. See what I'm saying? Let's see how they move up big after this. They all should be in top 30. I've decided not to use the lens of men's ranking to view this cos that one is still fair to an extent. But this one?? Lol.

You need to understand how this ranking works. Frankly, the ranking is somehow. But looking at it vividly and taking into account, the criteria, you will understand better.
Actually that ranking na rubbish. Sincerely. Teams that haven't done anything worthwhile like Nigeria don't deserve to be ranked above us. Its hilarious. Totally hilarious. That Ireland own weak me pass. If their own continental competition made them climb up well enough, then ours supposed to make up climb even higher as well. I know things are bad but Vietnam?? 😂😂😂

Infact everyone from 30-39 don't deserve to be about Nigeria and South Africa. But we move. E no just gel. The friendlies we played as well didn't look like something came from it too. Not only Nigeria though. Just as example. Some other teams supposed dey above some teams

Next AWCON will be fantastic , more recognition for the tournament, when you add Ghana , Cameroon and ivory coast we are to an unbelievable tournament
The caf referees better get sense. That kine nonsense they did vs Nigeria that hampered our WC XI should never repeat itself. Nigeria for host but we never pay players their kobo or make pitch as beautiful as guinea bissau😂

One would have thought Nigeria qualifying out of its group was a miracle. But Morocco! Damn. That's even bigger.

When Zambia beat Germany in the last friendly, they thought they had arrived. Little did they know Germany was not the standard they will use to determine their status to compete. I guess they went to sleep and relax.

Mhen this Moroccan qualified after conceding six goals in the first game against Germany and went on not to concede in the remaining two group matches.
We should thank the south koreans honestly. Na even rebound help this Morocco sef. If Morocco were as disciplined as the koreans vs Germany, they for no chop 6. That match was the decider. But glad to see they qualified from that group no one gave a chance.

3 African team qualify for the knockout stages.

So Proud

BTW, If you people like, play down on what FIFA is doing with the extra time.

Imagine giving 9 minutes of additional time but allowing play to continue until the 16th minutes
I totally agree. Fifa has done this nonsense twice for Germany now. This is no more mere ranting. It is facts!!

They did it with Zambia friendly. Now here again! Trying to sway results against the two african teams but they colet las las. 😂😂😂😂

Watch how Australia defeated England 3 months ago. My hope is that England will continue with their 3-man highline defence. Randy should just play fast forward players and they are in trouble.

Also notice when Lauren James was a threat? When they allowed her too much space as in all cases.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tci7EF1X2aI
I noticed they have this same indiscipline during counters against them. Instead of rushing back to help the 3man defence, they were all jogging. Anything that makes Lucy forget her duty screams desperation already. The 1st threat was a quick long pass from a defender. This means Ohale and Demehin have to do the usual we didn't like. The defense are isolated and ?? Vs pacy forwards, plus midfielders no send😂😂😂😂

Australia also used 3defending, but gave way too much space than we ever had at this WWC. Can 343 work or 352. Cos that middle to me looks uninspiring to be a worry. Flanks waa used and mehn did i just see 6 blue shirts around the Australian box alone? This same otu Arnold o😆😆

I know we can't underrate them, but we have to capitalize on these obvious weaknesses. Looks consistent, with or without James.

This means Onumonu is not a must to start. Ajibade is key. Counter may be the way. We just have issues with fast Transition.

Then the Foreign crew seem to be caught smiling and laughing more together than with others😆

There is more to Toni Pyane game that we are yet to see.
Coach Randy is not utilizing her to full potential.
Doc can wreck havoc if she plays close to the opposition penalty arc.
Irish Coach said her plan for Toni worked. But hyped her for her pedigree. As much as we trying to focus on making James ineffective, we need to also prepare for England trying to make Payne disappear. Man marking is okay to me for James. We don't need to focus all resources to stop her. But we must also set up quick ways to stun them, esp if we are playing for them to have the ball mostly.

One style: Dispossess James and give a quick launch to our forward to cause any sort of commotion. If we do this thrice, they'll start being more careful. It works.

EA prediction now has a 4th team they rated out of the r16. This is the biggest shocker of the WWC. A team that set up GoFundMe to help their campaign?? Omo. Anyway, i want to see more of Khadija Shaw.

Looks like all the powerhouses of the last decade are now ordinary. Even France beating Brazil was a shocker too.
