safarigirl: The greatest issue the NFF has in regard to this former player heading the Federation, is the politics involved in it.
I'm not familiar with what obtains in the Cameroonian FA, but in NFF, more often than not, one will need political backing to actually be eligible for the role of President. The President is sourced from State FAs, and State FA Chairmen are mostly lackeys of the Governor that are 'awarded' these roles for their support.
Essentially, a former player would have to present himself to the State Governor for approval, and only when he gets appointed, will he stand a chance in the bigger leagues.
I doubt Cameroon FA has a similar process. Perhaps, one just has to be registered or something, and they can contest, because I don't think he came from a State FA.
The system in Nigeria is what hinders the players from participating. Perhaps, Kanu is the closest person that can navigate through this system, or Amokachi. I don't know the relationship some other players like Odegbami have with political powers
Anyway, that's our hindrance, politics, and maybe money to some extent Very sad system. I really can't wait for one of them to break this stretch. CIV and Cameroun are very very fortunate. |

If one of our Golden Legend was our NFF President by now, the respect and regard of his words and renown would have been enough to convince the likes of Watford to come open an Academy in Nigeria.
That position needs its redemption asap. We are in 2022 and the fact none have smelled that position till now is just underwhelming and sick. They've only come close. If one finally gets it and performs averagely, I'll see it as a big win, considering how far its been.
Small boy Eto'o in 1999 now thats 23yrs ago, now President and is most likely the biggest reason this Afcon is ongoing. Those potbelotos for don see Ghana must go/gandollaria and agreed to postpone.
Can't wait for this Redemption.
In other news, morroco is the only NA team looking serious but aren't. We'll be number 1 and in top 25 by the time next Afcon is holding.
We'll still be the best African team at WC again as usual. We groan for more. |

Who would you guys recommend with Iwobi in mind? Forget Legend o, Things have changed at Everton since Rooney left there. mostob: I have nothing against Simon bro.. I'm just saying his crosses have not been up to par recently. I agree with you, especially when we compare with teams that aren't even half at par with Super Eagles. They have decent and bettwr crosses. I expect we should have that in the bag as a threat in this campaign. For now, Cameroun have that, ranked best. |

safarigirl: So, Zimbabwe's Captain voted for Alisson over Mendy in that FIFA Best award, no wonder they are chopping bottom of the table at AFCON. No football brain, no brotherly feelings. Just otu players
Other African nations that showed their asses
Salah is more dedicated to club than continent, the eleribu voted Alisson Tunisia's Captain, another idiot that voted Neuer Namibia's Captain too, a whitewashed idiot voted Donnaruma Uganda's Captain, a Mumu and more, voted Donnaruma. Malawi's captain, na Senegal go deal with them today, that one too, voted Donnaruma. Angola's Captain, another otondo, voted for Donnaruma
We suppose gather these useless people, flog them, especially that hating mumu Salah. Here i was wondering if African Captains didn't participate. Nigeria nko? |

safarigirl: There are too many saboteurs in West African football, this is perhaps, the most limiting thing
Before such a thing can be set up, a descendant of a slave trader would have gone to sell out the rest of the region to higher powers. Na the main problem be that. We are still enjoying the Afcon, we never know those Federation presidents that wanted to sabotage this Competition kicking off. Shameful lots. Even ECowas be like house divided against itself. Plus the Anglo/Franco angle too. |

BascoVanVeli: A WAFU tournament would destroy CAF completely. Imagine taking all the west African countries out of the AFCON. We need to use this as leverage and force CAF to stop their zonal nonsense at the youth and women's level. E for make sense if some of them have funds to be that independent. The North African situo will make this a juicer step to attempt, but before the house is even in order, disorder go takeover. |

mostob: Simon is still a suspect...his crossing is horrible. We've not had decent crosses in two games. Or rather put, we haven't had goal threatening crosses in both games. I watched the Malawi and Mali team, they've done more on that aspect than us. have the most goal threats from crosses alone than any other team. Abou is experienced to really make the most out of positioning. |

And what’s shameful about Messi voting ? Where was mendy pls? Abi donarunma new name na Mendy? Giving Mendy best GK, but its not enough to be in the XI? Fifa eh Messi was being sarcastic about the vote process by putting Neymar first and not even top performer, Lewandoski in at worst 3rd. |

Danielnino00: I thought some people said that this FIFA award had more credibility than Balon d'or because their favorite penalty merchant didn't win it.. How come the voting process is so flawed?
How can u win goalkeeper of the year but not selected for the world best XI . How can u win the women player of the year but not in the women world best XI. .It's ridiculous.. Who came up with this kind of voting system? Its a stupid formation as well. No salah or mendy. Then Messi's voting is shameful and sarcastic.
