NgeneUkwenu:You're using the word 'steal' not in their original context, the reason you put it within quotes. It's like saying EFCC should arrest sanitation day defaulters "because their actions could constitute environmental hazards leading to economic losses for the FG... ![]() |
This is a totally nonpartisan opinion piece, as I do not support any of the unconstitutional actions of the DSS boss, which has now peaked with the illegal invasion and alleged conspiracy between him and the Senate president to score political points. |
It's no news that the erstwhile DG of Nigeria's secret police, the DSS has been sacked barely few hours after the invasion of the national assembly by his men. The most important part of this story is that the sacked DG has been arrested by federal SARS, the elite police unit dedicated to coordinating operations against armed robbery. Just a flashback, the same SARS were the ones deployed to effect Dino's arrest for allegedly supplying arms used by political thugs to carry out robbery and the same unit Saraki was told to report to. In these two cases, we can say that it was a right decision even though an ordinary police unit should have been enough. Now the one million dollars question is "Why should SARS be the ones to arrest Daura since this is not a robbery case? Why are institutions being abused? Why have the traditional police force/unit been rendered useless?" If we think we need a special police unit to attend to such high profile cases such as this, why can't we create one rather than using SARS outside their original duty? |
IllegalMoney:Bye. Alway resorting to cursing when they have nothing germaine to say. |
IllegalMoney:When some people said all that PDP knows is about sharing of our money amongst themselves, people said it is just for laugh. Here you see one of their foot soldiers with a moniker confirming that. ![]() |
It's most probable that this is exactly how everything was planned and hatched. So detailed and logical. |
If this is true, this again shows that Daura was really spying for Saraki and his camp. I won't be surprised if it's later discovered that the former DSS boss taps phone communications of all the ministers including that of the President and the VP- and records everything these people discuss. The man is that daring and lawless. |
Saying that Daura was one of the albatrosses of this government is an understatement. He acts like he holds all the aces, and rightly so, because Buhari acts very dumb sometimes, sadly. Imagine the president sending a nominee to the Senate and Daura, an appointee of same president writing an uninvited memo to disqualify the person. He bet it that Buhari would not react and truly he didn't, showing gross weakness on the part of Buhari. |
That is the right thing to do. Since the news broke that DSS have invaded the national assembly, I was convinced it was a ploy, because Daura and Saraki are friends. Was it not the same Daura that has been covering his tracks for him, including when he was caught with N300m he wanted to bribe judges with and everything fizzled out? The man has been the underground president calling the shots. If not for Magu, he'd would have run down this government with corruption and cronyism. |
OK |
Hmmm |
I'd have said this is a good news, but it's coming at the wrong time. Why not from 2016 like they initially promised? But I thought it has to be a law from the National Assembly. Or has government monetary "civil service" rules changed? |
Whenever this sort of meeting takes place in America, it'll strictly be about the people who elected them to serve, not how to share the spoils of war or strategize for next election. Eg, Obama frantically meeting Congress leaders on how to make sure his medic care bill sees the light of the day or Trump meeting same to ask for their support for the construction of border wall to stem the tide of illegal migration from Mexico who are suspected to be largely responsible for violent crimes. |
Before opening the thread, the first thing that came to my mind was that she actually came for medical treatment in our hospital (like Buhari travels to London for his) and incidentally had to mark her birthday while on admission, but alas that is not now the case. ![]() When will people from other African countries start coming to our obodo Naija for their medical needs? We only claim giant of Africa in useless indices, but not where to be found on very important ones such as this. |
This is incredible. I see APC winning this election very comfortably and surprisingly winning at least 2 states in the SE and also two in the SS. Wish any of Durotoye, Sowore and Moghalu could, but it's not 2019. |
That'd be very smart, so far bribery is not involved. God knows how to punish these looter politicians and occultist murderers. We may think they're undergoing political persecution whereas it's God opening their book of judgement at that material time. It was Jolly Nyame and Joshua Dariye's turn a few weeks ago. It's Saraki's turn now; and soon it'd be Tinubu, Orji, OUK's, etc, turn. The hand of justice sometimes turns slowly, but it most times gets to each person. |
Meaning the summons can even be posted on his Facebook or Twitter account . Very good. That murderer cum con man must be brought to book. His heydays are almost over. |
The so many conspiracies surrounding our comatose power supply cannot just be waived aside. There's no doubting it that some groups of people have sworn that Nigeria will never be free from darkness while they themselves enjoy 24-hour uninterrupted supply, courtesy of generator they can afford to fuel even if a liter of it costs a thousand dollar. But we have yet to see what Buhari has done in that sector. The railway successes are very clear, but there's nothing for the power sector yet. |
"When Protestants speak of going to church... they are not thinking of a building but of a congregation. The congregation, not the building is holy... The church is holy because the congregation is the house of God." - Edmund Clowney "The Kingdom of God is not going to be advanced by our churches becoming filled with men, but by men in our churches becoming filled with God." - Duncan Campbell |
Success100:You don't know how much demarketing you're giving to Sowore through your deceptive captions. You ought to be sacked from the Media department because I know you're not doing this independently. Trash. |
This is not how things are done - when you make people to jump too many steps, they don't value it and don't seem to know the responsibility that comes with the quick succession of promotion. Someone defects to your party on a Monday and by Wednesday he's already the party leader - whatever that useless title mean. Tinubu bears same but he virtually has no power to wield. |
This lady or is it guy, is actually intelligent and makes sensible posts sometimes. Only that "he" has already written his hate in the minds of people through the many careless names and insults he rains on some groups of people here even if the threads have nothing to do with such people. That's why Tonye..Barcanista is still different to an extent; he knows how to show his support for a candidate without dragging himself into the mud when people disagree and throw slurs at him. |
It's a actually a comical time. All of the these politicians will line up back to the APC should APC win the presidential election. It's that bad. There are no solid political ideology to guide their actions like it obtains in other countries. Wish there was a commission you have to submit your defection letter to who'll have the final say on whether it grants you defection right or not. ![]() |
Not a fan of Saraki, but couldn't help but notice that even the FHC erred by telling the NASS what law to debate on the floor of the NASS and what not to. That's height of judicial rascality and irresponsibility. The Supreme Court has that sole right to determine the constitutionality of a law and that should be after the bill has been passed, not when they're still deliberating on it! NgeneUkwenu:I wrote "judicial", but here you're referring to "executive". Was it Buhari or the FG that took it court? It was a "private" person who took the case to the court and instead of the judge to have said he doesn't have the jurisdiction to hear the case, he went ahead to grant the petitioner's prayers even while the said bill had yet to get to the executive. |
Lol. Chai! Bloggers and fake news; sensible people will only laugh at this fake story. If this were to be about Buhari and APC and it's so clear that it's manufactured, you'll have seen how much IPOB would have swooned on this thread celebrating it despite knowing it's lie. |
bedspread:Park well Mr man and change this silly moniker and stop spamming Nairaland with ignorance and anti-Buhari vibes. ECOWAS chairmanship is just a title; the holder has almost no power to him aside the power he holds in his country. bedspread:FYI, your post has no single sense in it (I'm sorry if you feel offended). There's no prize for being seen on every thread on Nairaland only to write immature comments. If you have nothing solidly germaine to a topic, simply come and read the comments of others or just write "Hmmmm". ![]() |
Mynd44:Alright |
Lol. Mynd44 even you? What sort of news without link is this? This is like a sponsored press release nau; this is not how news are presented. Chai! A Nairaland moderator fah. If you like delete my comment. ![]() |
See Reno practicing the childish things some people do here on Nairaland - "like for this and share for that". This man, I doubt if he's truly a born again Christian, because the level of misinformation and dishonest tweets, pettiness and hate he churns out on Twitter is disgusting.Thank God there are still pastors who know how to castigate the government without rolling themselves on the mud unlike Reno. |
GrammarNazi1:"Is...". You no get work o. Keep on scavenging Nairaland looking for whose grammar to correct, whereas all of your corrections are also flawed. ![]() |
