Can the APC trust Orji to be a Senate president, if he eventually wins, considering the fact that he currently has a corruption case in the court? |
A lot of Igbo people on this platform seem to detest him. Is it because he joined the APC or because he has not seen as being sympathetic to Biaffran agenda or "because he is corrupt"? |
About two weeks AGO, former governor of Abia State, Kalu, also known by his initials OUK, travelled a long distance to the home town of the president to be conferred on a traditional honorary title. https://www.vanguardngr.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/Screen-Shot-2018-08-23-at-05.37.05.png Since Mr. Kalu joined APC, he has been pandering towards the president and always seizing any media opportunity to say how much he supports the president and want him to win reelection. And then just a few days ago, a group came out to say that they're already contributing funds to purchase senatorial ticket for him. Do all these not point to the possibility that the man may be eyeing a Senate Presidency come 2019, considering the fact that it'll bring a balance in the geopolitical makeup of the top three positions in the national government? What are your thoughts guys and what's the chance that he'll win a senatorial contest in his zone? |
Who didn't know that that statement was both an unintelligent statement and a fake news to make it seem like APC government say they're fighting corruption and at the same time releasing convicted criminals? (I'm not holding brief for APC - I just hate fake news and senseless sensational headlines.) How could he say so when the reason he was able to come back to Nigeria was because he had completed his jail term? How could APC have released him from British jail? |
I've always known that this man doesn't have any real grouse against Buhari. His mission has always been to continue to spin hate, insults and conspiracy theories about how Fulani intends to take over Nigeria, and of course to win the sympathy of IPOB faithfuls. And the peak of it is for him to be called back to the APC and decorated with one juicy position, but APC were wiser and simply chose to ignore his daily rants. Here he's now saying that removing Buhari would not "solve the problems of Nigeria" just because the police has called him for questioning about his hate speech. So much for a "principled man" that he claims to be. |
jaykaylegend:OK bro, I can finally see one. ![]() |
Jang who is currently standing trial for corruption... ![]() ![]() |
I'm very patriotic, but I must say that her visit to Nigeria was badly managed. I'm not saying she should have been treated like she's of a higher class than us, but everything smacked of poor arrangement. No press conference where the two leaders stand side by side to answer questions from journalists. Buhari needs to be tutored on how to have an eye to eye contact with visitors. He also needs to be told that a 10 minutes press conference will not have been something too hard for him to do. The man seems to lack self confidence when meeting Americans or European leaders. His aides are not doing enough. jaykaylegend:That was because he went there; so there was no way he could have refused to participate in the press conference. But when they come here, he doesn't host them to such press meetup, like Kenyan President is doing above. |
SalamRushdie:And the blog is claiming two names - Leading Reporters and UReporters. Such confusion can only come from a propaganda blog that's primarily set up to dish fake news. |

NgeneUkwenu:You're making yourself a source of derision and embarrassment on Nairaland and you don't know. You think you ought not to be ashamed of yourself simply because people don't know you? Can't you make comments without throwing diatribes and slurs to some imaginary people? |
She has yet to touch down in Nigeria and she's already running us down with her mouth. All these Whites and their boundless pride and disrespect for Africans. The way they run down Africans churning out poverty figures from their mind, you'll think there are no poor, homeless people among them too. But alas the reverse is the case. But why are Nigerians on Nairaland so anti-Nigeria unlike what obtains on Twitter? Why can't we talk back at these imperialists, and leave out local politics aside, some times? Trump's reported comment about Buhari that filled the cyberspace yesterday should have received a widespread condemnation and trolling of Trump from us, but no, Nairalanders would rather insult their president more. The only US president who ever spent three terms in office, Roosevelt, was a cripple who ruled from wheelchair, but he saw America through the Second World War and the US emerged an unrivalled world power. |
See the supposedly educated people and lazy Nigerian youths above not seeing it this as a fake news that it's. Chai |
Very good. Watch how some people would invade this thread soon to say that the US would soon sanction Nigeria, or make Buhari to lose 2019 election (which squarely depends on Nigerians' votes), refuse to sell weapons to us again, for daring to criticise Trump's statements. It's still Nigeria that seem to have so much fear for the US when some other African countries like South Africa, Rwanda, etc, don't. |
Lol. This man thinks by this statement he's won the heart of the US, strengthening the idiootic belief that whoever the US supports in any country's presidential elections wins. Nothing could be more hilarious than this. And that's not to even mention the fact that the US under Trump is currently anti-LGTB. Morality should never be excused from the business of governance and legislation. Countries like the US, UK and much of Europe who think they could successfully do that without consequences, are now being confronted with the inevitable. One of such is the proliferation of war-field guns in the hands of the bulk of the citizenry and the daily shootings that happen as a result - in schools, night clubs, malls, etc. tsephanyah:Another gullible African who equates the US to heaven. Banned from the US for making a social media comment in the support of my country, and so? Such gullibility. ![]() |
The police really gave this man a long rope, making him set this nation on fire with his pot pouri of lies, senseless conspiracy theories and deceiving our Igbo brothers with sensational misinformation. He had long crossed the line of freedom of speech into speech terrorism and hate speech which is in every way criminal and against so many extant laws. franchasng:Clap for yourself for being able to "decode" that a person bearing Davidson is a Yoruba. |

I won't be surprised if Rochas was behind this arrest, to please his Fulani friends in APC, as he eyes 2023 presidency. I don't make this kind of statement, but I'm forced to, because I don't see why those hapless and harmless women who were not involved in throwing of stones or blocking roads, could be hurled to the court and charged with treason! That's insane, and it also shows how very puerile and ineffectual the Nigerian police is and the political connotations the unnecessary arrest had/has. |
dre11:It seems your life now revolves around creating threads on Nairaland abi? Read it yourself and see if there's any single statement there that points to the possibility of an endorsement and quote me back with it. Don't be offended, just an observation. |
Butterflyle0:I'm an independent observer, not a Kwankwaso fan, but common sense should let anyone know that's the rational behind his absence from Kano. Aside Buhari, no one else commands a cult like followership than him. In fact, his is even a movement, where the followers have a special attire that makes for easy identification. |
Following any politician to make enemies is one of the most foolish things that anyone can do, especially Nigerian politicians who quarrel and settle immediately they come under the same party. It's normal to express your support for a politician, but do that with your full senses and leave out emotions. |
Butterflyle0:Kwankwaso's followership hasn't reduced a bit. He's currently avoiding Kano to prevent a situation where Ganduje unleashes his attack dogs on his rally and cause bloody mayhem. That's wisdom. |
If you're in a position of power and you've not yet learned to shut your ears to the praise and sweet words of people close to you, it'll be your albatross at the end. They laughed with Jonathan more than this and praised him to the heavens. Notwithstanding, they deserted Aso Rock the very day he lost reelection. Only very few still thought it necessary to pay him consolation visit. |
IPOB thought they could restrategize by using women to carry out "illegal" protest only for Rochas to show them he doesn't care about their gender and is well ahead of the mind game. ![]() |
Politicians and ritualistic sacrifices. We hope that was not an attempt on the guy's life by the person who was supposed to protect him. And that's not to say they can use other people's children for their election ritual. They should be the one to go instead! |
This is still not a confirmation yet. He says he's still considering joining. Wrong headlines. 90% of Nigerian conjecture news and so-called investigative reports, and "sources close to the President, governor, Senate president, etc say that..." - turn out to be fake at the end. Aside from Sahara Reporters and Premium Times. |
I remember seeing this on Nairaland front page some few weeks ago and immediately knew it was fake. There's no blame for the APC here, because the creator of that thread didn't show an evidence that that announcement was indeed coming from the party. Nairaland needs to step up by putting this site in correct shape and weeding out fake news. |
