Hahaha. My investigative instincts are always at work. 90% of the people who commented here registered same day, same month, or this year. These are the real BMC members... A visit on any of UcheSecondus' threads also shows that the same percentage of people registered around the same time. The e-war, paid praise-singing and propaganda for 2019 have begun. |
She's obviously referring to ladies who majestically "collected belle" and now pride themselves as 'baby mamas', not women who lost their husband and now have to stay single pending when they get to remarry. Is her assertion right? Somehow. In the US (if what I read in the news is anything to go by), it's a very known fact that majority of the young street gangsters and members of drug cartels come from such kind of homes. In fact, it's an indirect way of glorifying immoral lifestyle to see baby mamas as responsible people. |
I see it as a deception from the pit of Hell for our pastors to begin to do gospel work using Hollywood style of pomp and ceremony, pursuing after fame and churning out statistics to promote 'their churches'. Such has no place in the Word of God. It's a spirit of the antichrist. |
If our Judiciary had not been operating on snail speed, this trial would have been a thing of the past by now, and this looter cum Boko Haram sponsor would have had his fate sealed for life imprisonment. It's illegal to continue to keep him in detention against the ruling of the court, but the FG can choose to continue to invoke the same legal manipulations looters employ to indefinitely prolong their trial. |
"A bill for a law to prohibit open grazing" and "to provide for the establishment of ranches". The second part of the bill spoilt the broth. They should have stopped at the prohibition; there's no need to establish any ranches for those callous murderers - anywhere - except where they originally came from. Abbeyme:I know, bro, but these people's antecedents do not make for one to trust them. Can you imagine the possibility of a Christian or southerner fighting with a Fulani man in his home state of Sokoto or Katsina or Kano, etc,? It's almost impossibleń but these murderers have the guts to come down south or Middle Belt to start killing locals in their own environment. potoX:Can the Igbos or Yoruba or Niger Deltans or Benue people living in Fulani land raise an arm against a Fulani let alone kill one? |
romenna:Lol. OK then; I understand your point. |
Many people including me, entered this thread rationalising the possibility of ICC summoning Buhari, only to see it's an anniversary visit. The OP perfectly captioned the heading to draw viewers and it worked perfectly. |
PointZerom:Lol. See shifting of goalposts and a silly statement from a self-aclaimed 'importer and big businessman' - "I'm here to insult". Internet doesn't forget. |
Why are Igbos so pained about this election as if Eleka was one of them? An Igbo lady here is already making reference to 1980s and claiming that Awolowo is to be blamed. Chai! IPOB have destroyed the psyche of majority of the Igbo population through propaganda and lies. |
And the news is already on the front page. Anyway what do you expect when a single person moderates the whole of a community of more than one million people? No vetting of news to certify its authenticity before reaching FP. Nairaland is just too backwards - no improvement from the way it was 12 years ago (even though I only joined less than 3 years ago). Why can't Seun have up to 7 supermods on the Politics section, since it's the most visited section and hotbed of fake news ? Is it that he's not making any profit from this venture or what? So appalling. |
Lol. The same mistake Jonathan made by bringing him to the PDP a year to the 2015 elections and even specially opening the Maiduguri airport solely for him! Is this man the Maradona of politics in Nigeria that everyone seem to be courting his friendship whenever elections are approaching? |
Malagu, you better post the whole story if you want your story to reach FP ![]() I still envy Americans kind of politics. I've been following American politics and have come to know that over there, almost everybody belongs to either of the two political parties - Republican and Democrat. In fact, even judges are members of political parties, but they still do their job without any hint of favouritism or clash of interest. To buttress this, unlike here where only a few selected party executives vote to elect people in primary elections, over there it's the general registered party members that are eligible to vote in any primary election. And again, the man whom the Congress chose to probe the 2016 presidential election as to whether Russia aided Trump to win, is a lifetime Republican party member - the same party as Trump - and no one is raising an eyebrow that he may want to favour Trump in the investigation. These are the sorts of things we should be copying from the Whites, not silly, immoral TV shows like BBA or BBN. |
His Wikipedia profile says he's 19 years and he took this picture 20 years ago, when he was most likely around 6 years. So it's not only Africans that engage in age cheat after all.(Mbappe was born in France though he has an African descent.) |
PROPHETmichael:I like your thread too; didn't come across it before opening this one. Good job. |
hisgrace090:Exactly; a lot of the so-called preachings are actually motivational talks rather than the Gospel. And what's even more surprising is that they seem to be in competition with one another - who gets the title "World's largest church building" as if that'll be a ticket to Heaven. |
Olifiz:Sadly this is the truth. Most of these churches do not care about the eternal destination of their members. It's success, prosperity, tithing, paying first fruit, motivational talks, living the luxurious life, etc, they preach. |
During the closing period of Christs earthly sojourn, He told the Disciples about the vanity of the gigantic temple building? Why then are we so concerned and trying to outdo the other in building big churches? |
The first time I came across the phrase "World's Largest Church Auditorium" was more than 10 years ago, in the back cover of a book written by a Nigerian GO (name withheld) while I was still in junior secondary school. I was wowed that Nigeria could be holding that kind of record. Little did I know that times were coming when several Nigerian churches would be dragging that title. Today, more than 5 mega churches in Nigeria are laying claim to being the world's largest. So the question are: 1. 'Why have we decided to stoop so low where we now worship man-made buildings?' 2. Why should a pastor be so concerned about building a largest auditorium? Would Jesus Christ do the same? 3. Why are churches now so concerned about popular statistics that they now even manufacture it themselves, whereas it should be by independent professional bodies? 4. Why are our churches in competition with themselves about who owns the largest church building? |
GavelSlam:For some time now, you've been misfiring, all in an effort to defend the government. You're fast dropping objectivity. If you lost a loved one in any of those killings, would you castigate them if CAN calls Christians to start buying arms to defend themselves (even if you don't agree in your mind)? Most likely no. Do you know how impossible it is for an Igbo, Yoruba, Ijaw, Igala, Edo, Urhobo, etc, man to fight with a Hausa-Fulani man in their own state, let alone mistakenly kill one? |
I know Femi has to do his job, and part of his job is to defend the government. But it's so appalling that he does so without sense of responsibility and respect for the feelings of others. I remember he was the one that introduced the phrase "wailing wailers" to refer to people who were critical of the administration failings - even at the very first few months that Buhari came on. He sees Buhari as some sort of god, and this is seen with the way he pour adulation on him whenever his opinion pieces appear on newspaper. How could a sensible person say people should give their lands out to avoid being killed? There's no sense in that statement. |
How Saraki is still the senate president is a mystery, or should I say it's partly due to Buhari's so-called non-interference... . I'm sure that if it were in Jonathan's time, he wouldn't have lasted a year on that seat. So many crimes/infractions to pin him down with, but he seems to be escaping each and every one unscathed. At the end, it still boils down to the ineffectiveness of our judiciary that even if a looter confesses to have stolen billions of naira, they'll rather tell him to pay N5 million fine than sentence him to life imprisonment which the crime merits. The case of former Edo gov easily comes to mind. |
*Quote * See his post: This bitch plays underground to get this the first post deleted If this post is deleted again I wouldn’t be OK with the admin. I am a king of this YabaLeft and am entitle to post a screensho *Unquote* What kinda group could this be?! This can ONLY happen in their YABALEFT!
Bros, I'm really concerned about your mental health. How many people do you see commenting on every single thread on Nairaland the way you do, and it's not that your comments are even rational. How can you be commenting twice successively on a single thread? It doesn't make sense. Sometimes, come and read the opinion of others. You mustn't always comment even if you have germaine points to make. Free advice bro. |
Wow! And I was thinking Daily Trust not only deleted their tweet but also deleted it from their website, but alas they didn't do the latter. That shows they're not a Hausa Fulani-centric paper like many would want to believe. Now, where's the misinformation in this article that Twitter warlords were almost ready to lynch Daily Trust for? I can't see any. |
Africans always displaying inferiority complex. Why should there be a traffic congestion and lock down and curfew because a French president is visiting? Would they do the same if it was a Ghanaian president? Would France do same for our president if he visited them? Would they even do it for an American president? No; because the developed countries have a culture not to worship their leaders. Former president Obama visited London several years ago and while he was there, the city of London said his driver broke a traffic rule and would have to pay a fine. When are we going to start copying these good qualities? Partnerbiz: wirinet:MODIFIED: The fine was $10, not $1m. Apologies for the error. |
Is the US not just a perfect game player? They know that our politicians will never cease to throw their stolen billions into their country. So to encourage you to continue to do that and grow their economy, they give you fictional awards, Key to a City award, honorary mayoral awards like this one, and the rest. And when it's time for the mighty Department of Justice to cease your wealth, they'll overlook all those awards they've given you and carry away your stolen wealth notwithstanding. |
FortifiedCity:And these threats started since Buhari came in abi? Or it was Buhari that made you to tell people to like your posts on one of yesterday's Lagos tanker explosion threads where people were supposed to make sober comments? |
FortifiedCity:Another daft comment from you. All you're after is likes, mr man. I wonder how old you are. |
TEARS ROLLING DOWN FROM MY EYES reading and seeing all thse deaths, especially death of little children. Dear Lord, please show your mercy on us.
See hypocrisy. Tears rolling down your eyes and you'd time to bold your text? Have you ever seen a mourner in a celebration attire? I'm sure, no. |
FortifiedCity:See daftness and complete foolishness and heartless rolled into one. Just for the sake of likes, people can type anything. And unfortunately, another set of gullible fellows liked this senseless post. |
