Beaten:Mynd44, please help us take this thread to Religion Section. Beaten, what you're experiencing is a spiritual attack; I've no iota of doubt about it. And the solution, certainly do not lay on visiting the hospital. You may want to just for formalities, but your attention should be on seeking healing from God. I will advise you to visit MFM or The Lord's Chosen headquarters if you're in Lagos. If you commit suicide, you'll blame yourself forever in hell fire and would be wishing you could come back to earth and be afflicted with the same issue 10 times more and eating only once per day. Sadly, that's the thought of many people in hell today. ![]() I'm praying for you. |
baliyubla:Lies! I heard it's actually ₦1.5 bn per audience and it's sometimes paid in ₦20 and ₦50 notes. ![]() And the ADC is made to count them to ensure they're complete. ![]() |
If he should return to the APC tomorrow, he'll suddenly make a 180° turn and start lambasting PDP. To curb corruption and instil 'party patriotism', we first need to criminalise indiscriminate 'jumpology' from one party to another. We need a law to prohibit people who have yet to spend 1 year in a particular political party from contesting elections. Imagine someone jumping from party A to B and two weeks after, he's contesting their primary election. That's insane. |
Chai! See mentions! CilicMarin aka Ngeneukwenu aka cleverly aka...the level of pummelling you're getting this early morning - I haven't seen anyone gotten it in a long while. The only person who has come close to it is Queen.lovely, the grandmother of lies. ![]() |
Google is 20 years old and is worth hundreds of billions of dollars. Twitter is 12 years and is worth billions of dollars. Facebook is 14 years and is worth hundreds of billions of dollars. Instagram and WhatsApp are about 9 years old each and are also worth billions of dollars. All of these due to constant innovations by the founders. Our own Nairaland is older than all of these companies except Google and Facebook and is not known outside Nigeria; no innovation, nothing nothing. Just the same way it was 13 years ago. Seun, do something to Nairaland and make it a great platform. Introduce features seen in other platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and shoot this place to the moon. Hire Web developers; you can't run it alone. The returns will be huge and the users will have more satisfaction. You may contact me for more.... |
Election time and the ritualist politicians are on the proll looking for fellow human beings to use to win offices. Alas these same people would win tomorrow and go to churches/mosques for thanksgiving/ram sacrifices. |
"Called on the state government to settle them". . Unfortunately, this is what many people have turned governance into - settling criminals who should have been rounded up and thrown into jail. It starred with ND militants been granted amnesty and financial settlement, then Boko Haram and now cultists are looking for theirs. Could it be armed robbers next? |
I doubt the veracity of this news but I must admit that APC are really in confusion about the possibility of losing this election. Flash back to 2014 when they won the Ekiti governorship and it emboldened them towards the 2015 elections is the same way PDP will most likely win this election and embolden them towards 2019. At least it'll shatter the false vintage and overloaded pride of APC who think Buhari would win effortlessly next year. |
I wholeheartedly wish for PDP to win this rerun. The losing streak is too much; let this one be a consolation win for them , and also a booster towards the 2019 general election.I never thought Adeleke could come close winning it - the unpredictable nature of life. |
There are different types of milk - full cream milk, condensed milk, evaporated milk and skimmed milk, etc. Even Peak Milk been produced here in Nigeria have these varieties - it's up to you to choose the one you want. This is an unnecessary anti-West vibes coming from this man. gentlegenius:Your choice will largely depend on your nutritional needs. Full cream milk still has the whole of its natural fats (and it's a general knowledge that fat is not good for the human body). However, this type of milk has also been found to have alot of benefits such as lower risk of diabetes and easier weight loss, etc. And it's the closest to the milk gotten from cow before been processed. NB: I'm not in the Medical field, so this is just a product of personal research. |
Because Davido campaigned for his uncle's election automatically makes him fit to be a governor in the next 8 years? Wow. When people want to have an opinion over every single political and non political issue that passes their ear, this is what it turns into. Misfiring - left, right and centre. |
And neither Lalasticlala nor Mynd44 could do a five minute search to confirm the authenticity or otherwise of this news before taking it to the front page? Who is that Twitter user in the first place - an unknown person making spurious unverified claim. I wish PDP to win the election, but Nairaland has to up its operation and stop the practice of taking unverified, quack-written threads to FP. Dele Momodu says he called Omisore and he has denied having such meeting.

amaniro:And who says you're not free to? But don't tell people not to quote your comments because this is a free space. Maybe you can do that on Facebook, not Nairaland. Your use of uncorrelative and repetitive memes is getting boring actually. |
amaniro:LOL. Is this how very insecure you feel while you spend all your time castigating the government and politicians everyday here on Nairaland? You're infallible and perfect while those you curse are sinners? |
amaniro:Fortunately, you can't determine who can or cannot quote you. This is a social space. |
amaniro:Read and understand the content, bro. Everything is not about meme. |
There's no gainsaying that war is very expensive. The Americans have so far spent more than $2.4 trillion in their Iraq and Afghanistan War since it began. That's an average of $123billion every year. Now compare that to Nigeria's national yearly budget that is an average of $20bn! But this is not an excuse to treat these soldiers with levity; it's wickedness to put them on warfront with 'empty stomach' and very low morale. |
musicwriter:They're NOT the same, bro. But to repeat myself, your stand will depend on your religious conviction - whether you're an atheist or agnostic or deist or theist, a cultural Christian or a born again Christian. |
musicwriter:Your religious conviction will influence which one you'll know to be truth. And BTW, Europeans also have their own gods just as there are in Africa here! Every European is not automatically a believer in the Christian God. |
musicwriter:And how does their opinion change who you really are? Color green is used to represent agriculture or lushness or prosperity. Color pink is used to represent women matters, etc. These are man-made classifications. Why should anyone be incensed because of these? |
musicwriter:For your information, Africans are not black, in the very sense of that word. The word 'black' is only been used by the English-speaking world to refer to the color of Africans because that's the color that comes close to it. |
I can actually testify to the fact that since the man issued that curse earlier this year, I've read about many human traffickers in Benin being busted and arrested. Isn't this a good omen? And who has answered this man's prayer - God or the gods of his ancestors? ![]() It's complicated, because I know those gods can only do evil - they can't fight evil that human trafficking and prostitution is. Lalasticlala what sayest thou? musicwriter:There's a difference bro. A lot of difference. God is the Creator of the world Universe and its inhabitants while gods are Satan's demons. dederocs:The Jesus definition of gods that He says we are, is different from the gods that demons are. Capitalization is very important to make the difference clear. |
BENIN CITY, Nigeria (Thomson Reuters Foundation) - For almost two decades, 42-year-old Patience earned a steady income sending girls from Nigeria to Europe for sex work, using black magic to stop the women from fleeing. Now she is afraid the illegal trade could kill her. During a ceremony in March, Oba Ewuare II, leader of the historic kingdom of Benin in southern Nigeria, invoked curses on anyone who used witchcraft to aid illegal migration. Since then, anecdotal evidence suggests the trafficking has slowed although it is too soon for firm data to be collated. At least nine in every 10 Nigerian women trafficked to Europe come from Edo, a mostly Christian state of 3 million people, according to the U.N. Office on Drugs and Crime (UNDOC). Many came through the hands of women like Patience, who supplements her income as a hairdresser by selling girls into overseas sex work - but the leader’s ceremony has stopped that. “I didn’t hear directly from his mouth but, through the radio and television. The Oba has stopped everything,” Patience told the Thomson Reuters Foundation in her home in Benin, where she lives with her husband and four children. “Whenever I go out, I meet girls who beg me to take them to Europe but I refuse because I don’t want to die. Everybody is afraid.” “No one will ever come here again,” said David Ubebe, a juju priest who for eight years attended to a flow of women bringing girls to swear oaths at his shrine as well as phone calls from madams in Europe asking him to compel girls to pay them. He used to earn an undisclosed income for each black magic ritual he performed, boasting his powers could make someone menstruate nonstop or lose peace of mind, but is nowhere to be too nervous to defy the ban. Meanwhile Patience is convinced a madam she knows in Europe has fallen ill because she defied the Oba by trying to extort more money from a girl and no one can diagnose her illness. “It is the effect of the curse placed by the Oba on those who cheat. That is the reason why she is sick,” she said. https://af.reuters.com/article/topNews/idAFKCN1LZ12D-OZATP |
Where would the money be taken from? Your guess is as good as mine - moneys he most likely embezzled, that were meant for constituency projects. Our collective wealth. ![]() |
Having read the final altercation between Butterflyleo and Resurgent2019, I'm tempted to say something again. Mr Leo, you're too combative - you're always ready to call people names that disagree with you. You've used such words as confused and bigoted, bitter soul, devil, etc, on this thread. Which born again Christian does that. Maybe that appellation now has a different meaning. It's even very immature to always rub it on the face of people that you're this and that. Can you just give your support to whomever you want to, without throwing it to our face that you had a certain vision? Pls do. Chai! I never cease to shake my head in disbelief when professing Christians here on Nairaland zealously claim to know so much about spiritual things, but their comments betray that claim. Insults. Silly words. Intolerance. Etc. Why do you so much hate PDP and label everybody who supports them as bad people? I don't want to think you're a teenager, because it shows you're not broad in thinking. There are born again Christians in PDP and in every party; so stop making it look like it's a sin to be associated with PDP (FYI, I'm apolitical.). Resurgent2019 too doesn't seem to be practicing what he's preaching as well. He is a well-known ethnic jingoist and Igbo hater here, but he shouts "born again Christian" all the time . Funny, isn't? |
Butterflyleo:I'm done with you, bro. Good luck. |
Butterflyleo:I've "been known to be a non supporter of Buhari and intolerant [to] Muslims"? Where did you get this from please? You see, bro, this is what I'm still saying. You're already concluding am a PDP supporter (like you've been labelling anyone else who disagrees with you or criticises Buhari), which is very petty. Go to Ogundamisi and Omojuwa's timelines on Twitter and see how very open-minded they are - when it's time to criticise Buhari, they do so without reservations and when it's time to defend him they do so likewise. That's more sensible than you're wont to do here. You have carried Buhari on your head too much; you're too extremist about your support for him, and it's affecting your sense of judgement. There's no thread you don't receive insults here. Why? Mostly due to the wrong methodology you're employing. You're too combative. |
What an embarrassing show of shame by the duo of Butterflyleo and Resurgent2019. I've always observed you guys and seen how very intolerant to opposing opinions you people are. For Butterfly, I used to know him in the Religion section and always wondered how someone could claim to be an apologist and a Christian preacher but sees nothing wrong in using vitriolic words and exchange of insults against people he's supposed to be reaching for Christ, and he has carried the same character to this section. I'm sorry, but I've yet to see you once display Christ-like character here on Nairaland. The way you throw jabs and call people names in the defense of Buhari and APC never ceases to amaze me, for someone who calls himself a born again Christian. And Resurgent2019 is no different too. He brands Buhari as a Christian hater due to the action of the herdsmen, forgetting that the herdsmen are actually denting Buhari's govt and image. He also concludes that it's inappropriate for a Christian to support Buhari, which is a very faulty mindset. Conclusion: Both of you are extremists. Please repent and stop throwing up "I'm a born again Christian" every now and then while your comments here on Nairaland say different thing. |
Balderdash! Who leaked this letter in the first place and when has Customs become immigration service? Don't we have NIS? EFCC is just planning for a personal vendetta on Fayose that'll again shoot his popularity, because being professional is not their forte! All they're interested in is dramatically storming and breaking into people's houses and arresting them. That they once tweeted that Fayose's immunity was about to end clearly showed how very partisan they are. |
alBHAGDADI:I have read the Bible and what it has to say about this, so stop insisting I read that article. Forget about terminologies; the question is: fervent Christians who fell and are now into armed robbery, murder, cultism, prostitution, etc, are still saved and will still go to Heaven? |
alBHAGDADI:In other words, a former born again Christian who went back to sin of robbery and murder will still go to heaven when he dies?? |
