patwilly: now i'm at sea on which university will readily offer admission with little fuss keeping in mind one that also has good academic programmes(in this case, i mean a recognized university). i wouldnt want to waste my time applying to just anyone if i dont stand a good chance of securing admission. thanks.
the course is a post graduate one(Masters) - Electrical/Electronics Engineering; advice on options such as Msc electrical power, Msc Control Engineering etc are higly welcome. God bless you as you comment. thanks.

bisiboom: Davide which did you apply for? I have bachelors in Chemical Engineering but I'm interested in Engineering and operations which requires minimum masters in chemical.
Should I just go ahead and apply? There ain't another that requires my course and qualification.

I also went for Engineering and Operations. Work experience and certifications can suffice for the Masters, though if you intend doing your MSc abroad, then use that instead.

Btw, my mind no dey here again o.. Lol

From previous ones, it is Online test - Phone Interview - Assessment centres - Offer letters.. But now that Adexen has taken over, expect stage 1 - stage 2 - stage 3 - stage 4 ... + stage n. (0 < n < 8 )

2.2 is a limiting factor, but the determining factor is 'What other qualifications do you have with ur 2.2?

The downstream sector of Total are incharge of filling stations, tank farms, tankers, lubricants etc..
Don't knw about when the test wuld be done. Just keep ur hopes up.

Osinitu: Hello folks,I just finished my NYSC last month,during d course of my service year I logged on to TOTAL site and I made an unsollicited application. Shortly b4 I finished service I was mailed to go on with d next stage where I uploaded my passport and printed the photocard as instructed. Since then I've bn expecting an invite or something but I'm yet to get any, my source inside Total said invitation will begin dis month. I'm a graduate of mech engr frm a federal university bt na 2.2 I get.......Is there anyone is my shoes and can I get advice and encouragement frm senior colleagues in the house?or does anyone knw anytyn...tnks

That mail was from Total Plc (downstream).. Well, heard the process might last up to a year, hence, the delay..

I think she is the head of the Unilever FLP programme, so that's why her name was included for any correspondence.. From the mails sent, was it just her name that was there? No email?

faakay: Most folks working in total have got Msc abroad but they pay atleast 850k for entry staff.

Even from an insider, their Human Resources said if don't have M.sc they will just dump ur CV in d bin.

Total workers are big boys. They pay up to 2M!

Had a training in Total Office @ Churchgate once on Control systems, and the guy that handled it told us he had 2 MSc's abroad

Well to me, walking around to submit your CV is better than sending it online, couple with the fact you also did Cover letter.(Personally, I don't believe in Cover letters). Some firms don't and will never advertise for Trainee positions, if they need, they asks the receptionist to bring up the CV's they have in which they make their choice and send invites for test.

Bro, EGINA project is still way behind schedule. Saipem, Technip and co, that are handling some of the contracts are still looking for staffs.. So you can't expect Total to employ EGINA staffs now. What wuld they be doing. And most of the USAN guys that were affected in the Operatorship hand-over to Exxon are being patched up in AMENAM or so, waiting for EGINA.

How does long meeting with the MD have to do with them hiring Trainees? Will the trainees make them sell more or expand more. I really don't get.

And pls stop bragging about having brighter chances. You can easily be disappointed!
