Carsonv: Wow! I didn't get that mail after my interview. And my status still says "Interview in Progress". I hope this doesn't spell rejection?

My suggestion.. Construct a very nice mail, asking why your status is still in "Interview in progress" when you have done the interview couple of weeks back.

Then get back to the house.

Let me teach all these so called *NL Scam Watchers* how to catch a scam::
1. A global energy company, with 87,000 employees in 70 countries..(Really!!!!)..
I get mails from different Onshore/Offshore Projects monitoring websites and NEVER has "Adexec' been mentioned before.

2. The "Who We are Looking For" is a right down copy verbatim from Shell Graduate Trainee program..

Ok. Am a batch A corps member too. This application is not for us as:
1. It requires NYSC DISCHARGE CERT. (Not IDCard)
2. It requires NYSC Discharge number (Not StateCode)
And these two requirements are mandatory, in the sense that you can't go further with ur application without providing these..
So to all Corp member trying to apply, let's back off and see as this goes to enable *those that will apply* next year prepare!

Don't really know if the policy has been implemented.
U can't influence ur posting in camp with a letter, but you can influence it in camp, by "knowing someone" factor.
Platoon leader, Platoon commander, 'the posting department', State Cord secretary et al
OBS is overrated, Yes! But some guys also gained from it.. So its up to you.

You guys should try out Schlumberger.. I think their Field Engineer trainee position is still open. Applied last month, but no feedback from them yet.

For those that wants to apply to KPMG, why not wait till they bring forth an advert, just as they normally do, either Dec or Jan, instead of sending them ur CV.. Use d waiting period to gather more info.

Asking for a rejection letter is a way of saying you can't serve there based on your reasons "real or imaginary", it depends on u.
To lobby-- getting involved in camp, getting noticed, joining OBS, knowing ur platoon leader, things like that..

Just go this.. The fair is basically for Mid and Senior level professionals.

koyes: Some times I wonder why pwc advertise for graduate trainee when they obviously don't know what they want. I got a regret mail and I think it has something to do with the age. I think they need children that they can exploit, people who will be fully committed to their jobs every 24/7.

Maam, this is not their first recruitment, neither their last..They have been sending regret mail to applicants ever since u started University. The big 4's all have the same policy, though Pwc is a bit harsh.

Either two things are involved:
1. Either they have stopped accepting submissions or
2. You should try logging out and re-login again to check if the Submit button would show up!

That's why Multinationals have decided to create their own PFA departments.

With the new policy likely to come on board, I think Corps members would be posted to Oil firms, but..
1. First, you have to work your posting to either Lagos, PH or Abuja
2. For Lagos, some coy dnt accept corpers again like Total E&P, but Total Plc accepts.. Mobil, AMNI, Addax et al still accepts
3. You have to work it in Camp.. Forget about applying to these companies, except u know someone on d inside
4. If u can't work it, try and lobby to get posted to a school on the island, ask for a rejection letter, thereafter go to any of the firms(within the same LG) and ask for a Request letter..

Today is 24th, No mail from Oando.. Or has anyone received any invites?
