WOW!!!! IT SEEMS THAT THE LAKERS HAVE TAKEN THE WEST FROM US THEN. IBAKA! YOU BETTER GO LEARN SOME POST MOVES FROM "THE DREAM" THIS OFFSEASON O. WE ARE REALLY GOING TO NEED IT BIG TIME. |
onila: we are playing againt the best team in the world. ,I trust Nigerian guys will work really hard. Nigerian guys shld try and make names for themselves. NBA clubs will be scouting.HAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAAHAHA, THAT IS HILLARIOUS...NOT! You must be new to basketball aren't you amigo? |
Why didn't we make any adjustments throughout the game ? We should have keyed in on them and chase them off the three point line. Goodness! what awful coaching!!! why didn't we hire an American coach like Mike D'Antoni, Larry Brown, Don Nelson or even Phil Jackson (hahhaha)? |
ANDRE IGOUDALA SHOULD BE PLAYING FOR NIGERIA AND SO SHOULD EMEKA OKAFOR, JEFF GREEN, IME UDOKA, ALEX ORIAKHI AND KELENNA AZUBUIKE. |
OH BOY!!! |
WOW!!!!! Tony Skinn is a Nigerian?? Unbelievable! I remember that remarkable George Mason team of that year. Its amazing that some of this players playing for Naija, i watched them when they were in college. |
You post a clip with Skip Bayless on it?? Don't you know he is like the biggest LeBron hater in the Universe??
Have you watched the video yet You said the Heat played "hard" that's why i sent you the video. If you watched the video, you would know how inaccurate and funny that statement is. |
Magic is a delusional fat man whose brain is fried off Hiv Cocktail medications....
Yeah but Magic is still the greatest point guard of all time.
Yo that old Marbury Kg Display pic is hot....I miss Starbury and Young Garnett....smh Classik
Yep!!!! who knows how many championships they would have won had Marbury not gotten jealous that the Timberwolves offered KG a ridiculous contract. |
Yes! LeBron simply wanted it more
WHAT?? LeBron wanted it more?? Watch this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hv2jqFd2-qI |
Yeah but he still offered more offensively than anybody not named Durant or Westbrook. Do you realize 3 of your starting 5 are essentially useless offensively?? Even defensively Ibaka and Perkins rebounded poorly. The truth is the Heat match up very well with you guys or didnt you see your head to head records prior to the Finals?? Plus they simply killed y'all with the three ball! Role players stepped up when it was required I agree to an extent but it was actually James Harden that finished you guys and i was at a loss as to why y'all did not start him in any of the games epecially since it was obvious that the team always started slow and here was also someone that was struggling for offense. Its not Westbrook's fault that he had to take so many shots. Sefolosha,Ibaka,Perkins are hardly scorers so what other option did he have?? The truth is everyone in that Thunder team coulda done a little more. I know you are trying to play Monday morning quarterback but trading Westbrook is not the best move in my opinion! He is younger than all the guys you listed and has tremendous upside
Nooooooooo, you don't get it. A lot of people don't think that Westy would ever develop his decision making like the top tier point guards in the league afterall the guy was a shooting back in UCLA. If we had Rondo who is probably the best pure point in the league but not a scorer or as athletic, he would make our team much better and he would know how to find Durant and he would get the best out of Harden and not jacking up ill advised shots. Finally, can someone please explain to me WHY WE DIDN'T PLAY ZONE Dallas was able to stop Miami last year because of its zone but for some reason known to Scott Brooks we couldn't make the necessary adjustments. Truth of the matter is that when it comes to overall team athleticism, the Heat can't match us. |
Well it was hard to notice that in the finals. I saw only 3 players that could generate their own offence Harden,Durant and Westbrook
Well besides LeBron and Wade (Bosh was really banged up) who else in the Miami's starting 5 can you put up with ours. We have probably the best two defenders of the rim in Ibaka and Perkins and an incredible perimeter defender is Thabo Sefolosha, who does Miami have? Haslem? and we also have the most athletic team in the NBA but it seems that Scott Brooks keeps holding this team back, the man doesn't seem to be able to make adjustments. In the San Antonio series, it took him almost two games to realize that Westy can't stop Tony Parker, it wasn't until he put Sefolosha on TP that we won the series. Did you see Westbrook's atrocious performance in Game 2? I know if you look at the stats, he scored 20 something points but his play really killed us in the finals. Scottie Brooks seemed to tell him to keep shooting and Westy kept jacking up ill advised shot after shot. SOMEONE NEEDS TO TELL THAT BOY THAT HE IS A POINT GUARD AND NOT A SHOOTING GUARD His job was to give the ball to our best player which he failed to do time and time again. KD is the best scorer in the NBA and there was several stretches in the series where Westy wouldn't give him the ball and it was sooooooooooo annoying. Maybe we should trade him for a true PG like Deron, Rondo, or Chris Paul. |
More Talented Team?....
Even Magic said it. |
@Davidif Scottie Brooks is a big reason why the Thunder lost in my opinion! He made absolutely zero adjustments in 5 NBA Finals games both defensively and offensively and that was kinda disappointing.
I have to admit that you are right, it was clear that OKC was the more talented team and yet we lost in 5. |

There are some celebrities i've met and there are some i just saw. For example, i saw Snoop Dogg once when i was waiting to catch a flight at Boston, he just walked by me along with his entourage. It took me a while to even realize that WOW! this is Snoop Dogg. In that same airport i saw former US soccer player, Cobi Jones, i shook his hands and said "nice to meet you" and former US Coach Bruce Arena. I also saw Garth Brooks once, and i said hi to him and took a picture with him. He was really nice. I also think i met Peter Falk in Boston or an actor who looked like him because we all seemed to be taking pictures with him. When i was in New York, i met one of the guys from the first season of "The Apprentice" and i took a picture with him. I met Brian Grant at the airport in Atlanta some months ago. I have also met some football players who are in the NFL now or in the NBA because they went to my school at the time. |
shymmex: Lakers city in the house..It doesn't matter either way whether they get Steve Nash or not, Westbrooke would destroy Steve Nash. If you are going to get better, you have to get players better than the team that beat you or simply get more creative. I know that Nash gives the Lakers a different offensive dimension (he can play the pick and roll with Gasol which we at times struggled to defend) but how is Nash who has never been known for his defense going to go against guards like Westy or Harden?
Lakers and Spurs have Horrible perimeter defense compared to the Heat... The Heat exposed him, Harden has no midrange game and no right hand.....close out on him up tight and run him off the three point line to his right, and he becomes an ordinary bum. Wade,Chalmers,LBJ,Shane perimeter D are Light Years ahead of the likes of Sessions,Kobe(at this stage of career)
But Harden had some good looks but he just wasn't getting them in, especially that layup that would have tied the game in i think game 4. The truth of the matter is that we can't play zone, we rely on our athleticism and that's one of the reasons we couldn't stop this Miami team. Maybe if we played the 2-3 zone that Dallas played against the Heat we could have won. That's why i believe that if the Heat had faced the Spurs, the Spurs could have won the series. |
hahahahhahahahahahhahahahahhaa, this is soooooooooooo hillarious. I remember when i was in Naija, there were so many lizards. Someone should do some research on it hahaha. |
'After a pause he said 'You gave me the best news of the world.'' Uh oh! when someone pauses that tells you something. |
Exposed did you watch him in the Laker's and the San Antonio series? he really gave us that third scoring option that we needed to get all the way. Agreed, he didn't get going offensively against the Heat except f9r Game 2 where he had 21 pts from 7-11 shooting, but let's not forget, he was a big reason why we got to the finals. I would say not bad for a player in his third year in the league. Now having said all that, boy, did we miss Jeff Green in this series, he would have really helped us a lot but hey who are we kidding? if we didn't make that trade for Perkins, there is no way we make it past Dallas and the Lakers this year. Either way, let's hope we can keep this team for one more season and try to make another run for the championship before Ibaka and Harden become free agents. |
BRAVO ESPANA! CAMPIONES DEL EUROPA! NOT ONLY IS THE SPANISH TEAM THE GREATEST INTERNATIONAL SIDE OF ALL TIME, IT HAS REVOLUTIONIZED THE WAY FOOTBALL IS PLAYED. IN THIS TOURNAMENT, THE SPANISH PLAYED THERE BEST GAME WITHOUT A STRIKER. I DON'T THINK ANY TEAM HAS EVER DONE THAT. BACK IN 2008, THEY WON BY USUALLY PLAYING A 4-4-2, 4-2-3-1, OR 4-1-4-1 FORMATION. IN 2010, THEY MOSTLY PLAYED A 4-3-3 BUT IN THIS TOURNAMENT THEY USED THE SAME FORMATION BUT WITHOUT A STRIKER ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS AND THEY PLAYED THERE BEST FOOTBALL IN THAT FORMATION. THIS SHOWS THAT YOU DON'T ALWAYS NEED A STRIKER TO WIN IN FOOTBALL. ALSO, THIS SPANISH TEAM HAS BUCKED THE TREND IN MODERN FOOTBALL THAT YOU HAVE TO BE BIG, STRONG AND SPEEDY TO PLAY FOOTBALL JUST LIKE THE ENGLISH AND THE FRENCH DO. THE SPANIARDS HAVE THOUGHT US OTHERWISE. IT SO SAD TO THINK THAT IF DAVID SILVA, JUAN MATA, XAVI AND INIESTA WERE ENGLISH, THEY WOULDN'T HAVE MADE IT THROUGH THE ACADEMY LEVEL BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT "PHYSICAL" PLAYERS. |
Sad we lost. I wish we knew how to play Zone defense like Dallas did last year. At the end of the day, it came down to the inexperience. Westie fouling Chalmers in Game 4 when he didn't need to and James Harden missing that layup that would have tied the game. Let's also not forget James Harden's needless foul at the end of Game 3 and Westbrook's decision making in deciding to continue jacking up needless shot after shot. |

WOW!!!!!!!! |
Boy, the quality of refereeing in the premiership nowadays can be really awful that one can even begin to ask if the refs know the rules at all.
|
What is wrong with the awful quality of refereeing in the EPL nowadays?

premechaz:hahhahahahhahahahhaha. claremont:GBAM!!!!!! oshe o jare, you hit the nail on the head. Its amazing how many girls don't realize how many boys they chase of by being snobbish. Then later on they would go to church and be praying against that imaginary evil witches in there village that is preventing them from getting there future husbands. Over here, if you try that nonsense snobbish attitude, the boys would just "fashi" you and go after the next girl afterall, there are a lot of options over here unlike Naija. If you are not friendly and approachable, you might be single the rest of your life. |
Wow!!!! excellent. The kid gets to go to the best school in the world. |
oh and you can add barcelona vs. man. united last year. What a master class from the catalan masters ![]() |
WHAT AN ABSOLUTELY DEVASTATING MATCH THIS WAS, VERY, VERY HEART WRENCHING. Like someone said earlier, there was nothing special about the French at all, they just stuck to there strengths and that was falling back to defend in numbers and hitting us on the break. All the so called European big names they have on there roster looked really ordinary. Talent wise, we were the better team, all the so called kakuta's, griezman's and co. are not even worthy to lace our players boots but at the end of the day they won because they were more organized than we were AND MOST IMPORTANTLY THEY HAD MORE STAMINA THAN WE DID BECAUSE AT THE END OF THE DAY, OUR BOYS SIMPLY RAN OUT OF GAS. They were soooooo exhausted in the second half of extra time that they could barely even hold on to the ball. The french on the other hand seemed to be very energized during the same spell of the game. The french of course cannot play like us so they stuck to defending very well. They let us have enough of the ball in the first half while they sat back in the middle to protect there defense and they let us run ourselves into the ground. We had to change our style of play of holding on to possession by making short passes through out the pitch to attempting long ball after long ball. What is sooooooo sad is that at the end of the day is the way that this was probably the most talented and most entertaining team in the tournament but unfortunately many of them would hardly play in a top European club instead its the absolutely bland and lesser skilled players on the other team who would get to play for the top clubs despite the fact that none of them are even on the same level as our other players. This is why we need to develop our league so that our players can grow and develop rather than ending up in the bench in Europe or playing in a pathetic league for a European coach that takes away there natural game from them and stifles there natural creativity thereby transforming them into the same bland and unskilled European type of player. |

You gotta!
Of course, i was born and raised in Naija but i don't live in the west. Besides, i have friends who lived in Ekiti and they say that by far its the most undeveloped and uncivillized place they have ever been. |
As a matter of fact, i have never ever been to Ekiti state before so pardon my bad grammar. |
