Lammy has always been in the Labour Party. As far back as 2002, he became under-secretary of State for public health under Tony Blair.
Gotcha! so how in the world did Kemi Badenoch end up joining the party that is not necessarily not known for being pro minority?

Exchange rate he met at 407 naira to dollar. At official rate. This idiot devalued it to 1600. 4times the value he met. Who is giving him advice.. for Gods sake...
The problem with this administration is that they have not done a good job explaining the concept of currency manipulation that we have been practicing for so long so that the average Nigerian on the street understands it and its long-term debilitating effects on the economy. Most folks do not understand how expensive it is to prop up your currency artificially and how much of your reserves you have to burn through to do that.

Most African leaders are western puppets, enthroned to protect American/western interests.

Know this, and know peace. This is not conspiracy theory.
How about this? Some African countries have not had a lot of educated leaders knowledgeable enough to run their countries. In case you didn't know, running a country is very, very difficult. You have the political side of things and you have the economic and financial side of things which some leaders don't have a background in.
Just imagine, you are a military leader with only a secondary school education or a degree in Veterinary medicine and you are now in charge of a large and very diverse nation in and you are dealing with competing interests within the country and now you have to figure out things like trade policy, competition law, tax policy, govt reforms etc meanwhile your counterparts in the west double or even triple majored in Political science, Economics and Philosophy in school then after that went on to get an MBA and a law degree from some of the best schools in the world where they are thought to think and tackle very challenging problems then after this, they add some real-world experience in the top financial institutions in their country to their CV before joining politics. How in the world do you even think you can even begin to compete with this in policy and trade discussions?

Tinubu is not doing well at all, how on Earth do you float your currency against foreign currency that you don't have absolute çontrol over, what manner of leadership is this
Bros, because it costs a lot of money to artificially prop up your currency. This is what we have been doing for years and it was not working. The problem with this administration is that they have done a very good job explaining to Nigerians that the policies of the past, though they looked good were simply not sustainable. I remember looking at Nigeria's income statement last year and seeing that we were spending most of our revenue servicing debts and I was really surprised because if Nigeria was a business, it would have shut down by now. You don't spend almost 100% servicing your debts. It's not sustainable (it can't last forever). Let the naira float and please don't bring back subsidies.

Government needs to find way to stabilize the exchange rate, it keeps on falling
They need to leave it to the market. Artificially propping it like the way we had been doing in the past was not sustainable. You have to burn through your reserves to keep that going. We just couldn't do it forever.

Because foreign lawyers should not practice in Nigeria without passing our NBA examinations.

Simple.
Our law systems are very similar to each other. Ours is based on their model so yes it makes sense for there to be synergies between our law system and theirs. I would say it would be better for us if British lawyers could practice in Nigeria as that would increase the number of skilled foreign workers working in Nigeria. I would like to see a lot of foreign law firms opening up shop in Nigeria.

Olukemi Olufunto Adegoke Badenoch (Kemi Badenoch) is a privileged Nigerian, born in the UK, had her early years in Nigeria, attending International School, University of Lagos. She lived in university quarters and had 24-hour electricity, was chauffeur-driven and relocated to the UK when she was 16.

She went to privileged institutions and worked in privileged places.

At some point, she hacked into the website of a Labour MP, Harriet Harman and claimed it was a prank. Her action was reported to their fraud agency.

Many Nigerians are rushing to celebrate Kemi Badenoch's victory to lead the UK Tory Party. As Nigerians and blacks, we must be aware that Kemi Badenoch has a deep hatred for Nigeria and blacks. She used every opportunity to talk down on Nigeria and even tell humongous lies to disparage the country of her parents. Rishi Sunak never talked down on India neither did Nadhim Zahawi talk down on Iraq nor did Sadiq Khan talk down on Pakistan. Butg Kemi Badenoch thought it was fun to talk down on Nigeria.

She lied that she was always woken up by sounds at night. In Unilag? She claimed she was ordered to go to the kitchen instead of studying. In Unilag?

Draw parallels to racial hate by British white supremacists which Kemi Badenoch panders to be be seen as a white woman. She reeks of low self-esteem, she is a shameless liar, an an ambitious fellow ready to crush anything that stands in her way, including disparaging her country of origin.

For those rushing to celebrate her, she no send una. She is not someone to be proud of. She is not our best export.

When has Mrs Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala ever spoken against Nigeria? Arunma Otteh? Yet, they got to the pinnacle and deserve to be celebrated.

Kemi Badenoch hated Nigerian but came to Nigeria to sign an MOU with Dr Doris Nkiruka Uzoka-Anite for British lawyers to be able to practice law in Nigeria. The NBA and many Nigerians joined hands to ruin that MOU and Kemo Badenoch left Nigeria in shame.

She is leader of the UK Tory Party. That doesn't mean she would work for the black community. She'd sacrifice them to become Prime Minister if needed.
And why exactly did they ruin the MOU??

So despite everything, this nincompoop was allowed to travel out of the country and still mock the country in our faces that he is above the law.
Same way he went to jail but still bragged about it that he never stayed in detention.
The lawlessness in this country is sickening.
For the country to move forward, this present political system needs to be destroyed. Our version of democracy is an elitocracy to favour only a few.
Well, a lot of our laws don't even make sense in the first place. What in goodness name is Naira abuse for goodness sakes? Can someone please explain that to me? You mean of all the crimes and financial malfeasance going on, you are focusin on a cross dresser "abusing" the naira? I mean if i was a prosecuting attorney, i won't even bother to pick up the case. It would be a waste of my time. In fact, i suspect that the reason he was charged was probably because he angered someone in a high position because this doesn't make much sense.

Also, when it comes to our political system, well there is a reason it does not work, and that's because the Nigerian people hardly had a say in it so you can see why its not working but either way, that's another discussion for another day.
PoliticsRe: Tinubu Makes Fresh Appointments Into INEC by davidif:
Elections should be left to the local government, not the fed government. It should be decentralized that way it should be difficult for the fed govt to rig their candidate in.

Maybe you can rig the elections in one local govt but you can't do it in all of them so it makes coordinated national rigging more difficult.

In my opinion, uni isn't for anyone under 18. Most 18 year old can't even co-ordinate themselves properly outside, what does a nigerian 14year old know? A kid that can't even decide what he likes and stand by it without the input of a parent. They lack social skills, have poor decision making because they're not used to making their own decisions, no matter how small... these are aspects of ones life that ought to be in place before uni.
Sir,
I don't know if i agree with you on that. I feel that each child is different and should be treated as such. I have gone to school with people who were significantly younger than 18 and they held their own just fine that you won't have known they were much younger had they not told you. As a result, I strongly feel that there shouldn't be a minimum age on who should write JAMB and that each university should be able to determine what age they are willing to admit a student.

Yes, the problem is soccer administration in Nigeria.
The main issue is that Nigerians are incapable of good administration.
Not that they are incapable, its that we don't hire the best people in the first place. The right administrators should be people of integrity and proven experience in leadership and management. For example, someone who has run an institution well should be able to run a football club well. There is not much of a difference.

Did I say otherwise? No matter how prestigious it is, MIT or even Stanford isn’t an Ivy League.
Man, Ivy League is just a designation given to a bunch of universities clustered in a certain area of the country or that were created during a particular era, it doesn't necessarily they are particularly better than the others. For example, MIT, Stanford or California Institute of technology are not regarded as Ivy league but if I want to study engineering, you bet I will pick any of them over any of the so called Ivy leagues.

In Nigeria you must be 18 before you write JAMB
Wow! that's counter-productive to the student don't you think? I mean not all students are the same. So if you have a genius at age 14, he should have to wait 4 more years to write JAMB? Wow!

I am curious,

The vast majority of those in STEM has not returned or will not return to Nigeria (just like you), so why do you think those in Arts and Humanities will return to Nigeria especially the group of students who attend those elite institutions? And why do you think
Cos there are not much jobs for foreigners in those fields as they are mostly taken by the natives. STEM on the other hand has a limited number of natives.
PoliticsRe: Buhari To Grant Scholarship To 3 Best Young Nigerian Scientists - Ogbonnaya Onu by davidif: 10:31pm On Feb 15, 2022
Why are we still sending STEM graduates abroad? What Naija needs to be doing right now is to be educating its future leaders. We need people educated in non-technical fields like philosophy, history, political science, literature, Economics and Law in the elite institutions in the world like Brown University, Princeton, Harvard, University of Oxford, University of Cambridge etc. We need to look for a way to start training its future statesman and women. We have way too many technical graduates going abroad and not too many from the Arts and Sciences.

If a company like shoprite cannot even survive in Nigeria what does that say about the business climate in the country.
This is an indictment on the ruinous economic policies Nigerian leaders have pursued since independence. It’s really sad.

Nigerian educational system forces their youths to graduate at a close to retirement age.
Honestly, they should ban JAMB and post UME. Even here SAT is not compulsory (some schools require it while some don’t).

I don't think we kept accurate data at that time. I do not believe it will be up to 500,000
You do know it was the British who were in charge back then and not Nigerians and if there is one thing I know about the Brits or the Europeans is their book keeping. I still go to the library in my school and other schools once in a while and I read colonial reports on Nigeria and other countries. They are so detailed.

I am not saying the records would have been 100% perfect (they probably underreported some of them) but as you can see they most likely tried the best to capture the info to the best of their ability after all Nigeria was their territory and it’s people were it’s subjects.
