Car Talk / Re: 100k Salary Enough To Get A Car? by davou4eva(m): 11:40am On Apr 14, 2015 |
It does not mean that you must be using the car for all your day to day activities. It might probably be an occasional usage to minimize maintenance activities and expenses but at least you will know that you have a mobility means whenever the need arises and most especially when you have to go out with your spouse and children. 8 Likes |

Bros, getting a car is not a luxury but a necessity. Just ensure to get a car that you can maintain within your income and ensure to be serious about the maintenance. I bought my first car when i was earning less than 100k and am already using my third car, i mean, i will sell the one am using and add some amount of money to buy new one. It's all about been prudent in your spending. Best 156 Likes 9 Shares |
Car Talk / Re: Volvo S40 1999 by davou4eva(m): 12:30am On Mar 29, 2015 |
Volvo is one of the car you can ever drive. I ve used the S80 for 4years and am driving the XC90 now. You dare not compare it with some of this Toyota as Volvo beat them hands down. Let me be sincere with you, as long as you can have a good maintenance culture, I can assure you that u will neva regret it. Talk of the luxury, interior, smooth driving, power, full options accessories, balancing and speed. The major thing you may need to change often is the bulbs and absorber pad. Overall, its a good ride. Good luck |

Car Talk / Re: Why Are Nigerians Scared Of VOLVO by davou4eva(m): 8:50am On Oct 24, 2014 |
I think the Volvo is gradually getting accepted because of their new innovation since 1998 has been so good. We hope Naija mechanic would go side by side with the new innovation and trend and will not cause havoc. |

Car Talk / Re: At What Mileage Would A Car Stop Moving? by davou4eva(m): 2:45pm On Aug 19, 2013 |
Mileage is like a time table to remind you of when next to do your servicing and or change a particular spare parts. So, your car can last a lifetime based on your level of maintanace and how much you cherich it. 4 Likes |

Car Talk / Re: Re-birth Of The Volvo Brand In Nigeria by davou4eva(m): 12:44pm On Jul 04, 2013 |
Nefo: I went car shopping with a friend of mine one day, but before we set out we had this long arguement on what car to buy. It was the 2005 Toyota Highlander vs The 2005 Volvo XC90. I was rooting for the Highlander because I had used one before. Finally we set out and paid for the Volvo. I had driven this car for a while now and sometimes I ask myself why I didn't get this car for myself. I can't wait to get the XC90 because i am enjoying the S80.... |

Yeah! you are very right my brother. I got the Volvo S80 T6 not quite long and so far so good it has been a very pleasure ride. From the turbo engine, factory fitted A/C that work very perfectly from the first minute, the interior, sterring wheel, the ABS, the chasis, tyres range with the alloy rims, the balancing while on speed and so on. One of the thing i love about the Volvo S80 is when you tried to turbo (kick down) the way the engine sound is marvellous compare to Toyota which i was using before as if the engine want to explode. The maintenance is still ok @ about or less than N10,000.00 on every 3500-5000km depending on if you need to change both the oil/fuel filter and or the plugs. In conclusion, so far so good until i refuse to do the proper maintenance which we lack mostly in Naija. 2 Likes |

Baconline, i have a 99 volvo S80 with 2keys and keyless remote controller. I've been using one of it until it got spoit and loss not quite long. So, i went to pick the spare one but unfortunately its not working. I've changed the battery 2times all to no avail. Can you please tell me what might be wrong and the way forward. I will appreciate all your efforts to resolve this. Thanks for your anticipated assistance. |
Car Talk / Re: Old Number Plates, Driver's Licence Expire Sept 31, Says FRSC by davou4eva(m): 2:42pm On Jun 20, 2013 |
gajike: no not that way. the vin number will not change. immediately ur car is stolen. report yo police. the police will track it at frcn through the vin number. immediately they input the car vin the details of the new owner and pictures will come out. it will reduce car theft. u can also verify the previous owners of the car u want to buy through frcn so u will not mistakenly buy stolen vehicle. That is, if the data base will be accessible at the time u need it and if not corrupt by then. |

I rest my case for now. |
