AngelSlay: I'm facing a dilemma. I have a remote job offers: A job paying $133, requiring in-person meetings 6-8 times a month. The tfare to this place is $3
I am currently being paid $266, requiring in-person meetings once every 3-6 months. I'm torn between taking both jobs or focusing on the first job for its better pay and fewer in-person requirements.
Can anyone offer guidance on how to weigh the pros and cons of each option or what I should do and why?
Thanks! If you can juggle between both jobs effectively for now... So that. Else, go for the one with fewer meetings as time is also money |

OriOko88: I have been following this Iran vs Israel vs US war on all platforms,so one thing is certain, and that is, all three countries are not walk over when it comes to armunitions and sophisticated weapons.
Even the India and Pakistan who people believe are lagging behind in military warfare surprised the whole world by taking the battle to the air through fighter jets and high flying military crafts.
So the question is,does Nigeria possess any worthy military hardware in case we come in contact with any powerful adversary? because the world is forming alliances. Who will even think Qatar will be caught in the war,and if not that they too are well armed, the country wud hv been under Iranian fire by now. So does Nigeria even have air defense system that can intercept incoming missiles?? Abi na only Tucano jets we can boast off. We have none... we only possess anti-aircraft misiles |

Obavoh: I came back from work yesterday to see my Wife’s younger Sister in my house.
I was surprised because no one told me she was coming. I greeted and welcomed her.
I later called my Wife aside and asked her why she did not inform me that her sister was coming to pay us a visit. That was when she broke the news to me that the girl was 3 months pregnant and had to leave the village because of shame.
My Wife begged me and even called the girl to come and kneel and beg me to allow her stay until she puts to bed. I was very angry at my wife for that.
I would love to help the girl but the problem is
1) My Father-in-law is not aware that his Daughter is pregnant. Only my Wife and Mother-in-law knows.
2) My Mother-in-law has not called to plead with me to let the Girl stay under my roof. My Wife asked me to call their mother to confirm but I think it should be the other way around.
3) I am currently managing a one room apartment with my Wife and 7 children. The place might not be conducive for a first time pregnant Girl. Feeding her is not a problem.
4) I am afraid I would be the one to pay her Medical bills, antenatal and all. When I asked my Wife she said her mother would pay but I don’t believe this judging from personal experience.
5) What if the girl suffers miscarriage or complications? God forbid. I might be held responsible.
Please advise me on what to do. My creator sees my heart that I would love to help but I am afraid. Should I let her stay or send her away? How do I do this without losing the respect of my Wife and Mother-in-law. What is the best way to help the Girl? Just know that your Fatjer-in -law will never forgive you for this!!! Put yourself in the man's shoes... Tell your wofe, that the only condition fpr habouring her sister is of they involve her FATHER!!! |

OredoPikin: Happy sunday everyone!!! In this context, i am referring to a single mom that has never been married and probably has one child.
As a young man, what are your take on single mothers?
As a lady, will you allow your brothers to marry a single mother?
As a parent, will you support your son to marry a single mother?
No harsh words please I see nothing wrong with making a single mother... But, a single mum of more than 1 child who has never been married is a red flag for me. |

Nwanyiogwashi: Israel is poised to play a pivotal role in the ongoing conflict, and it is the people of Gaza who evoke the greatest sympathy in the midst of this war between Israel and Iran. The Israeli government has skillfully deflected global attention from the Palestinian issue, and the devastation it is likely to unleash in Gaza will surpass the already dire circumstances that have prevailed.
It appears that Israel has been strategically preparing for this conflict with Iran by neutralizing potential threats from Hezbollah and Hamas, as well as elements in Syria that could have posed a challenge. Moreover, Israel's efforts will be bolstered by the stance of President Trump, who has been a vocal critic of Iran.
In the forthcoming weeks and months, Iran will likely face significant challenges, and the situation may deteriorate further." Sometimes, I just wonder why everyone could not just be diplomatic and avoid war/ conflicts... 2 presidents refuse to agree and Gbam! War starts... people who are not decision makers die!!! At the long run, the war will surely end... and so many would have died for nothing. |
Properties › Re: Why is Lagos housing Expensive and Overhyped? by dawnomike(m): 9:51am On Jun 11, 2025 |
TheOldGods: To be honest I’ve thought about this and it makes no single sense. Is Lagos state particularly the island a den of scam and money laundering? Because how is 2 bed flat going for 6-8 million naira for rent alone in places like osapa London where flood is your neighbor. And to think that minimum wage is 77k. Wait do Lagos people pay different money? Cause I’m in Lagos now and I’ve checked, I’m yet to see a company in Lagos that pays workers 1million a month for it to be enough to offset housing for a year. Even though the highest money I’ve seen is 500k that’s if you’re a super experienced person in the tech world.
So why is housing so expensive and why is the government just allowing people to increase rent without doing with what the states or that area pays?
Even people working in VI don’t earn upto 500k per month talk more of 1million. Yet house is extremely out of their reach. What going on?
In New York housing is expensive but once you get a job, it offsets it perfectly, this is not the case in Lagos island. The chances for you to get a job of 1mil a month to offset 6mil 2bed is almost not possible Look well my brother... there are many companies in lagos that pays more than 1m monthly. Asides salary, Lagos is a thriving hub for businesses. Not to mention E-commerce orientation that makes online market thrive in the city. A food vendor running the business from home can make good sales more than one with an outlet cos of this. |

Romance › Re: I Need Your Advice, I Am Being Haunted By A Woman by dawnomike(m): 8:14am On Jun 07, 2025 |
Connected1: A Coursemate Friend gave me the number of a certain girl about 3 years ago saying that she needed a friend to talk with, so I started getting along with her based on my easy going personality, so at a point she needed finance and myself not giving money anyhow I gave her my goods to sell and take the profit whilst she bring back my capital, she failed at it and I went to take back my goods, after that I bought goods for her to sell based on a business she said her friend told her about, the business failed and I barely got my capital I gave her.
I was doing the best I can for her but then she brought talks about having feelings for me and how she knows I do too but I kept hiding mine, so I shunned her about it, we quarreled and I deleted her phone number & blocked her everywhere, after a very short while, she began using her friends to call me and beg me, I completely ignored everything because i don't have any feelings for her nor am I even interested in sleeping with her when she offered me sex despite saying she was sacred about all that.
Alas I unblocked her when she lost her mum and she wrote me, I felt I needed to assist in consoling her by unblocking and chatting her up, then I offered some financial help too because both her parents are now gone and I told her not to bother me about dating her and focus on offers she receives which she agreed on, she's 29 and I understand time is telling on her.
Then some months got past and everything was going well, then she came again with the love jargon again and began saying how she prayed on the day I gave her money around when she lost her mum, she said she told God that whichever man she knows that sent her money is the one going to marry her and I was the only one who sent money and a huge one at that bla bla bla, I was infuriated and told her I unblocked her because she lost her mum, she kept explaining and I wasn't having any of it, then she agreed and swore not to disturb me about dating or marrying her I recommended she blocked me so that it will help her to forget about me but she never agreed.
We got talking again and living our lives until this week when she brought up issues about dating and marrying her again, how she saw me in her dreams that I was the one, how 2 other guys were asking her out and she prayed to God to know the right one and i suddenly appeared in her dreams, at this point I think I am sick of it and might go mad anytime soon if I continue like this, the reason I haven't blocked her everywhere this time around is because she gave me a job connect which one of her elder brothers was involved in as an exco member and I paid some money like others did only that it was cheaper so I have been hesitant, since it seems the job is about to taking shape and they may start paying this month or next, around 150k -200k for 2 weeks and I intend using it as a side hustle along side my business and normal job.
Please I need your advice, because whilst I have no intentions to date her or have sex out of pity, I can't just let this job opportunity go like that because I feel she may tell her brother to jeopardise the whole thing for me now if I chase her away angrily.
I will appreciate your inputs, regardless of how I feel about it. I admire how you keep standing your ground... Keep doing that in an amicable and assertive manner |

Remymaa: Hello
My marriage is ending and i am devasted. I got married at a very young age and we have two amazing children. I always say marriage is my biggest achievement but that is falling apart and i dont know how i will be able to live on.
My husband is muslim and im not. In the begging this has never been an issue. We had a great marriage. My husband started getting more religious which caused some conflict for example he wont watch certain movies or listen to music. I love romatic movies and rnb songs. He also complains about dressing etc but i think we always managed to find a balance somewhat.
He expects sex nearly everyday if we dont then he gets angry and says rude things.
He wants constant attention even when we sit down together 5 hours he will still say i dont give him attention.
I dont have many friends in our town so rarely go out. My family is in another town so i call my mum and family. When im on the phone too long he gets angry and says i dont give him attention, im a bad wife ,and its better we are not together
We have some good times but once every like 2 weeks he gets very angry over something very little and says really rude things that are hurtful like i am not a good wife.
Yesterday i woke up at 6am and i had a text from a friend who was worrying about something and i responded. He got angry saying how can i wife text at 6am- making it seem like im cheating when im not which i found degrading. He has my phone password . And he always checks it. I am 100% loyal.
i said to him i will respond to my friend who needs help at any time. He said well then we shouldnt be married if you dont listen to your husband and accused me of being disrespectful When he gets angry he threatens me with divorce. This time i had enough and i printed divorce papers and completed them.
I never thought i would get divorced. I am so sad and devasted.
i love my husband but he has changed so much. i feel like he is always disapointed in me. Nothing i do is good enough and puts me down. I feel like my husband now wants a different kind of wife not me and hence he is always disapointed in every little thing. And to clarify i dont believe my husband is cheating.
My family is my whole word. But i guess thats not enough
Not sure how i will move on I understand how frustrated you must have felt. I just hope you both could find a way to live in peace. |

mdokaba1: I don’t know who needs to hear this today, but let me just drop this truth: No man has ever successfully taught his wife how to drive without one serious fight. 😂
It starts all sweet — “Babe, let’s go for driving lessons. I’ll teach you, no need to pay those guys.” 10 minutes later, you’re screaming "Press the brake, brake! Which one is gear 2 again now?!" And she’s already giving you side-eye, ready to park the car and trek home.
Before you know it, you people have turned the whole driving lesson into a family meeting. Neighbours go dey peep from window.
If you’re a married man and you tried this, come and confess. Did you survive it? Did your car survive it? 😭 asides my dad... I have not seen any many who suceeded in doing that |
