Players of Nigeria’s Super Falcons have visited South African winger Gabriela Salgado at the Mohamed VI University Hospital in Casablanca, following the serious injury she sustained during Tuesday’s Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) semifinal match.

Salgado, who was stretchered off late in the second half of the dramatic 2-1 semi-final defeat to Nigeria, underwent successful surgery on Wednesday to treat a fractured mid-shaft in her left leg.

The 27-year-old remains hospitalised as she begins her recovery and is expected to miss the rest of the year.

In a powerful gesture of solidarity and sportsmanship, a few Nigerian players paid Salgado a personal visit, offering encouragement and presenting her with a Super Falcons jersey signed by the squad.

The entire Super Falcons of Nigeria family, from players and coaches to staff, were profoundly saddened to learn of the serious injury sustained by Gabriela Salgado,” a team statement read.

"We are holding Gabriela, her teammates, her family and close friends in our hearts, sending our deepest wishes for strength and resilience.”
The statement emphasised that in moments like these, “the spirit of competition fades,” and is replaced by compassion and support for a fellow athlete. “We stand firmly alongside Banyana Banyana in solidarity,” it added.

So I met this new girl and all our conversation she has been more emphatic about knowing my health status.
I told her I am okay that we always conduct periodic test in my office every year and that they don't give us the results.
So we had a near sex experience that didn't last for 1 minutes cos she was scared.

I am addicted to weed, tho you will hardly know because of how i look, fresh and clean, people do stare at me when i go out and this is because i dont joke with myself. Talk of the maltreatment and humiliation while living with them. The insults. I was despised, looked down on, thrown out, cast out, sidelined, deserted, shamed, beaten, ostracized and shunned.

I remember how I was so suppressed that I couldn't express myself and I became timid.

Today, I'm 26 and now responsible to myself. These people now call me. Same set of people. How do I feel free interacting with them?
They all thought I was going to die while they were hurting me. Today, the wounds have all healed, but the scars are still left on me.
I have forgiven anyone who hurt me because whether I forgive or not, is of no significance. But how do I forget all these?

I knew if I persevered, I would overcome In the end.

That amount was a huge part of my networth and it nearly drove me crazy but some way I had belief, I could it make it back afterall there are a lot of traders who lose their networth and still make it back; so I kept on going and going … and the truth is the past two months has had me face horror. From a nigga who was worth 50 million naira plus in January, I can barely boast of 25 million naira now unless i include some of the Gadgets I acquired. I have been absolutely RINSED and now it’s starting to dawn on me that Just maybe I got lucky when I traded my account to about 35k usd and not necessarily because I am good trader …Because how can you explain that I am not profitable for 5 months, losing both time and money and facing immense heart pain and self doubt.

In another stream of thought, I blame myself for allowing my risk-appetite to increase, that was my greatest undoing. A nigga who use trade to $200-$500 with panic started throwing $3k and $5k on trades. Just last week I helped a businessman who was probably richer than me open a Binance account and I saw how careful he was being when transferring his $100 to and from exchanges showing he valued his money… how did I become so reckless?
Honestly I am not even trying to garner self pity, I want people to tell me I am foolish for blowing an amount of money that most people will never see till they die… and I want to read it maintain my abstinence stance… it’s funny how quickly it happened and I found out I was Worth 50 million plus around Jan and could be called rich and now at this levels, will I ever get back to the my networth all time high?
