Oh, then why did he go to a team like Real Betis that was waaaaaaaaaaay below those teams that he used to beat uhn? Also, why did his colleagues like Patrick Kluivert, Edgar Davids, Michael Reiziger, Winston Bogarde (AC Milan), Seedorf (Sampdoria), de Boer's (Barcelona), Kanu (Internazionale) all end up in this clubs then.
Have you considered that Finidi even with his football age was about 5 yrs older than these other guys.

He simply went for the money because Betis was on a spending spree then They bought Denilson for a world record in the same period.

Its just like questioning any player who goes to man Citeh now.

Finidi was the top Right winger in Europe and he had a lucrative offer from Betis.

Finidi knew his age and he simply went for the best deal available which the Barcelonas and madrid cant give. Teaming up with Denilson and Alfonso Perez
Romance › Re: Where Are The Quality Single Nigerian Men Hiding? by dayokanu(m): 8:11pm On Aug 13, 2010
I have gone through the thread and my thoughts are these.

The average Nigerian guy in my level Is Educated, In school or working, Has a dream and is very determined, He is in his late 20's or early 30's and DOESNT have a baby momma, He dress well and doesnt sag his pant, He doesnt have tatooes and jewelries all over. He is Family oriented and has family values. A Nigerian man is financially independent and can take take of  his wife and kids, he has never been to jail etc

The problem is 75% of women regardless of race want this kind of man as a husband especially in the US. No matter how crazy a woman is, She would find these kind of men very desirable. so the competition for a guy that has the above qualities is always very tough and one thing is Nigerian girls hardly help too. Some Nigerian guys have even come to the conclusion that they wont ever be with a Nigerian girl.
because its known among the guys circle that Nigerian girls are the most difficult to talk to, "Dem too dey form".

I know several non-Nigerian women who can do anything just to be with a Nigerian dude even some of them wont even mind going to the airport to wait for Just off the plane from Nigeria.

I know an A-A girl on this forum whom I once chatted with I told her I have a younger brother in Nigeria and she was like anytime my brother gets to the US she would like to date him cos she just have the thing for Naija guys she actually started learning some words of Igbo from her Naija female friends LOL

I believe its never too late to get one and If you are a good girl like you described, You would get someone pretty soon

Dunno how AW sleeps @ night,if i was him i would be so adamant to make a glaring point to pple that i still got it.
By looking at his swelling bank account and regular paycheck despite not delivering trophies.

It is down to Arsene because he is the one who makes the decisions. With due respect, even though I like Chamakh's arrival, that was NOT our main problem - defence is and he has still refused to remedy that. GK has been a problem now since the beginning of last season and it cannot be impossible to secure a better goal keeper than the shambles we have. Arsene has control of the transfer budget so it is clearly his fault.
Thats another issue, Buying is not the problem but buying what you need. At this point, Getting Messi or CR7 wont do you as much good as signing a top defender.

Last season you had Silvestre, Djourou/Campbell, Senderos, Gallas and Varmalaen yet defence was a major issue.

Now In wengers way of improving it, He sold 4 and brought in one. How I wish the transfer window would close ASAP so the folly of his actions can be seen

he went for Chamakh quickly when Defence and Goalkeeping were more dire positions that needed to be cared for. At least he should have held on to Billie till he can sign someone else

In club management planning is key. Mourinho saw that Inter needed key men in defence, an attacking midfielder and a potent striker he went for Lucio and Milito first , When he saw an opening for a Sneijder and Etoo deal he moved in on it. And he won the treble

At Madrid despite the glut of players there, He went for carvalho and Khedira to bolster key positions. If he wins at season end wont we say How lucky he was?

and Lemme say injury would never be an excuse when you have enough time to make amends now.

The new season is nearly upon us and Off The Ball will be scratching around the underbelly of professional football for some bizarre and often inexplicable revelations every step of the way.

This week, we have Manchester United spending £7.4 million on some bloke from the Portuguese third division,
Fergie signs unknown £7.4m striker

In what must surely be some sort of effort to outdo Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger in the obscure-signing stakes, Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson pulled off a bona fide shock this week when he signed a homeless striker from the Portuguese lower leagues for £7.4 million.

Okay, so Bebe - full name Tiago Manuel Dias Correia - is no longer without a roof over his head but he was raised in an orphanage after spending part of his childhood on the streets and represented Portugal in the homeless World Cup.

Even more shocking is the news that just five weeks ago, before he signed for Portuguese Liga outfit Vitoria in early July, he was available on a free transfer after third division side Estrela Amadora failed to pay his wages.

£7.4 million! That would be enough to sign Germany World Cup star Mezut Ozil from Werder Bremen, but it seems Fergie has been reading too much Oliver Twist

Politics › Re: Fashola - I Can't Be Ribadu's Running Mate - Ac Ticket by dayokanu(m): 5:39pm On Aug 13, 2010
You have to understand how politics works. You try to win as many state as possible.

Ribadu can not win any state in nigeria politics, even in the north. Any one not pro north among northerner is finshed in northern politics. In northern politics. People who do not believe in Arewa(north) first do not win. You see, go on youtube Ribadu went around the world talking about electoral reform, which would put the north into minority. Northerner hate that. And for talking about electoral reform that would put northerner into minority status. Some northerner may even kill him , if he step his foot on the soil of kano.

The satellite picture are powerful. I would not be shock if i beat Ribadu in north , even while I am not a northerner, just because I have been pushing for them to cut off edo, delta and yoruba from nigeria so that the north become majority. Northerner prefer that, and anyone telling them nonsense like Ribadu have been saying. Does not speak for them.

And ribadu is just speaking Turashi, northerners are not looking for people who are speaking Turashi. I am telling you of deep ethnics politics. If I can make them majority, they are ready to give me wife in every state in the north and send them all of them to me in canada if the canadian embassy allow them 18 or so women to get visa as one man wife. This is how deep it is. That why they keep on posting one of Yar adua child. I am telling you knowing Northerner, he would give me his child for making the north majority. We had a civil war over North and south, which were aftermath of a south coup. It lead to a civil war, more than 1,000,000 people was killed.

Former Sultan of Sokoto children Dasuki went to a primary school in sokoto that is own by my friend mother, her surname start with M. Dasuki can go and find out from them. If I would be telling lies over this. I lived in the north before. They can kill over the issue of the satellie picture.

The satellite picture are deep. Northerner do not need people who want to speak Turashi to them. As far as they are concern , Ribadu is a Turashi man. And Ba turashi in the north. Turashi mean english. Ko ba kaba.

Also who can start a Piggery on the other side of the place?

The argument the Mosque people had was that they have the human right to do so, I guess the Gay bar and the piggery also have the right to set up anywhere.

I heard buses in NY would be carrying the Posters to oppose a Mosque next to ground 0

So its Carvalho you want us to go for now at 33 for 7m? remember what happened with Silvestre at 31 for 750K y'all are still bellyaching, I thank God yu're not the manager. Shay cost 8m in the season after Almunia just took us to within 4 points of the PL without any major gaffes and are you sure city is willing to sell now? and at what cost? even Fulham is stickin to 4m for Schwarzer at 37?
Carvalho was a top CB in Europe and 3-4yrs ago was among the best 4-5 CB in the whole of Europe. Sylvestre has never been a top 100 CB in Europe at any point in time.

For 7m carvalho is a good deal and can offer 2yrs to allow the players grow.

Zidane was 30 when he was bought for the World record of 65milla. I would personally have spent 20m on a 32yr old Maldini, As much as you consider the age you have to put the quality too by the side.

Xavi is 30yrs but many managers would buy him for 70milla in a heartbeat

If you dont know ask questions

In 1995 Ajax beat AC Milan home an away 4-0 aggregate (AC Milan won the CL the previous season)

In 1995 Ajax beat Bayern Munich 5-2 aggregate

In 1996 Ajax beat Borrousia Dortmund home and away 3-0 aggregate(Dortmund won the CL following season)

In 1996 Ajax beat Real Madrid home and away 3-0 aggregate

Tell me which of those wasnt effortless

Now tell me why Finidi would leave Ajax that was top 3 in Europe for Real Madrid, Barcelona or those Italian clubs whom Ajax was beating regularly in Europe.

Tell me how RealMadrid, Barcelona Man Utd and co fared in Europe at Finidis peak in the mid 90's

Once more I tell you in the mid 90's Barcelona and Man Utd were not top clubs

Despite the paucity of funds at OT, I can see old habits die hard and Baba Fergie is still splashing the cash any how only problem is that he is moving to Arsene territory now signing unknowns and for big money too. I never wish well for manure but even with my emotional goggles removed I still don't see how this new direction can end well for Fergie, I foresee tears at OT.
Na real wa. Duduspace and I have promised not to insult Arsenal fans but you are tempting me.

Make I go sleep before I break my promise. Tell me the last time Man Utd went trophyless
