has Klose EVER been among the 10 best strikers in the world AT ANY POINT IN TIME? ABEG! grin

The only reason we are even having this discussion is because Klose was fortunate to play during a time Germany were/are producing uncharacteristically crappy strikers and therefore had the privilege to lead their attack.

There are like 40-50 strikers of his time better than him. . . PHAKT!
Klose scored 14 world cup goals What are other Better strikers looking at while Klose was scoring

Bayern Munich are expecting to comfortably exceed their previous revenue record with a €350 million turnover during the fiscal year of 2009-10.

"We are still working on the financial statements. But we can assume that we have, for the first time, broken the €300m barrier," CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge told business magazine 'Focus Money'.

"We are calculating the consolidated revenues of the Allianz Arena, which will be around €350m."

Bayern's previous sales record was €286.8m, earned during the 2007-08 season. The club is expected to be in the 'black' for a 16th consecutive year.

Rummenigge hailed his team's financial stability in last year's uncertain market: "Frankly, we had no crisis."

Accordingly, the reigning German champions are expected to be among Europe's most profitable clubs of the 2009-10 season, with only Real Madrid, Manchester United and Barcelona expected to exceed their revenue.

And where in my post did i suggest boys should not KNOW how to cook or girls should not KNOW how to fix cars.

There is a difference between knowing how to and doing it in the family setting.

If you know how to and you find yourself alone wont you do it?

In Nigeria I can seen couples when their cars break down, the man gets down and start fixing the car or pushing it, while the woman just stand around, The same woman would now complain about equality when it comes to kitchen duties.

Before you married the guy, He was obviously not starving and he can cook what he would eat.

A woman can do it if there are no men around, just like a guy can cook if there are no women around

I wont allow a girl to lift heavy stuffs if a guy is around and not sick.
Food › Re: Should Boys Help Out In Cooking Food? ? by dayokanu(m): 5:58pm On Aug 10, 2010
The posters question was not if they should cook, Its should boys cook when girls are at home?

For those who said the boys eat lemme ask

Should girls cut trees when boys are at home? Should girls do the heavy lifting when boys are at home?

I know how to cook, I live on my own and cook my own meals but if my sisters were to be around, my time in the kitchen would be limited.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only by dayokanu(m): 5:22pm On Aug 10, 2010
This is a daft - is the rule only applicable to Arsenal? Isn't this the same rule applicable to all non league winning CL participants?
Without the CL expansion Arsenal wont be in the CL most of the time, If you use CL participation to rate Wenger over previous managers then its not right. CL participation was more difficult in the previous years than now

It wasn't relegation bound, but Wenger won two doubles and a historic achievement in winning the league unbeaten. Again, name ONE club aside from Utd that have won two league and FA cup doubles in the EPL era.
Winning a league unbeaten means what? Its still the same trophy that was handed out to the team who lost 12games and still won.

Its like saying someone won the league without conceeding or by scoring the most goals, All that matters is winning and not all that rubbish attached to it

A manager who has stayed 14yrs at a club should be winning trophies consistently and not going 5yrs barren

Does your analysis explain why Van Gaal got to the CL finals at first attempt with bayern,

Why Mourinho won after 2 attempts with Inter

And wenger has only been to the final once in 14 attempts at Arsenal could this be due to financial doping too?

In the last 5 seasons available trophies to be won

is 4 per season CL, Carling cup, League and FA cup. If you do well you have the chance of winning Charity Shield, UEFA super cup, Intercontinental cup etc

In 5 seasons 24 trophies were available to be won Arsenal, A so called top club won as many as ONE

@Asha,

Maybe Davidf can learn from that.

Beckham only played for those clubs because of his commercial appeal and had nothing to do with his football skills.

The way he shuttles between LA Galaxy and AC Milan should tell you that he has nothing to offer in football, In his Madrid days assembly of Galacticos He was the worst player on the field time and again and his purchase disrupted the Madrid game.

Real Madrid didnt win anything for most of Beckhams Career there.

Best Free kick in the world? Beckham cant even make top 5. Ronaldinho, Rivaldo, Juninho, Mihajlovic

Beckham was more of a hit and miss free kick taker similar to CR7

@ FBS. make no mistake about it. . . Anelka, in his prime, was a better striker than Didier. even DD himself cannot dispute that

ask yourself this question. hypothetically, If WPOTY was to be awarded to strictly strikers. do you think Klose would have won the award at any point in his

career?
In 2006, he was highest goal scorer in the World cup, Highest goal scorer in the league. He would have won in 2006 because he was scoring loads consistently in all competitions he played

Fair point. However, you have to agree that for a striker to be rated/considered as one of the best, his ability must exceed simply scoring goals

according to your logic. . . Fontaine is a better striker than Batistuta/Romario given the fact that he has more world cup (highest stage) goals to his credit
How would you know if Fontaine is a better striker than Batistuta and Romario.

Who is better George Best or Cristiano Ronaldo?

We all hear about Fontaine 40yrs after achieving his record I am still asking anyone to tell us who the top scorer in CL was in 1958, Who the best striker in Europe was between 1965 and 1969?

Anything you do at the World cup supercedes all those Sunday Sunday football

Klose made his name against the likes of Costa Rica, Saudi Arabia and Ecuador. . . . these three teams alone account for half of his World Cup goals. What makes him better than Oleg Salenko? He's just a lucky bazztard!!!
I cant believe someone of Ibimes caliber is making such silly statements. In a world cup of 32 teams, less than 10 would be quality So who would players score against?

Why dont you tell us half of Rooneys goals were against Portsmouth, Stoke City and co?

Ronaldo Lima has 15 WC goals and only 3 were scored against top opposition 2 vs germany and 1 vs Holland. the other 12 were scored against China, Costa Rica, Chile and ghana

Klose has 4 goals vs top Oppositions which is still a higher ratio than Ronaldos

4/14 >>>> 3/15

That is precisely what they told the Spaniards until this year, but they stuck to their guns and did it their way and how glorious it was. 5 years is not too long to develop a footballing culture that will last. It takes belief to achieve.
Van Gaal took Bayern to the CL finals and a domestic double in his first season.

Jose mourinho broke a 45yr CL barren run for Inter after his 2nd season.

If in 5 yrs you still are nowhere near your targets or can see improvements then its worth revising the whole program.

When Wenger took over at Arsenal the club wasnt relegation bound and was one of the top English clubs who won the Winners cup.

Some say Arsenal being in the CL consistently is an improvement, this is very wrong, If the league only allows the league winners to feature in the CL, then Wenger would have only played 3 times.

If you check the World cup goal scorers records, You would see Ronaldo, followed by Gerd Muller and Klose.

We hear of Justin Fontaine who scored in 1958 Can you tell me who was the highest goal scorer in the EPL, Serie A, Bundesliga or La Liga in 1958.

The World cup is the Hallmark of the greatest players. The greatest players made their mark at the world cup.

Gerd Muller who was Europes best striker ever made a career out of scoring tap ins and who tells you a striker have to be acrobatic or dribble the whole field to score goals?
