I have worked in Escravos before and I wont blame the Oil company at all.

The pay taxes to the FG, The pay to state Govt pay to LG, Pay to Host community, Give Schorlarship to indegenes of the host communities and Jobs to qualified people from the host community.

I can tell you that I had a friend who is an indegene of Eleme and offered to sell an indege slot to work in a Oil company to anyone who is interested.

The Companies when they attempt to do this projects by themselves, They are blocked by the indegenes/ Youths who preffered to be settled.

If they give the money to the Leaders/chiefs, They would still have no development.

Most of the technicians who work at Escravos are indegenes of Delta and most of them Welders, machine operators earn a lot of money, more than most bankers.

One of them was my friend he had a house in GRA benin and drives a EOD he is barely 30yrs

What more can the Oil coys do

had sum xperience in Rivers during my NYSC years there, i served in a community where LNG paid them like 40 million naira, and the community leaders will share the money within them self, in this same community there is no electricity but they wont ask lng or whoever to provide for them all they wait for is LNG money to share everytime and they kept blaming FG everytime.
There is a bad road from Lagos bustop in portharcourt to ibeto cement factory, the chairman of the cement factory wanted to fix the bad road, the youth of that area actually stop the contractor and they demanded for 20 million naira from the chairman of the cement factory that he has to pay them before he can fix the road. the road he actually wanted to fix for them. but seriously communities in Niger Delta area lacks good leaders as well,
This kind of scenario is very common in those areas, What do you want OIl Coys to do about this.

Seriously, God that was drinking Adeboyes tea, That was alway speaking to Adeboye didnt reveal to him that someone was stealing depositors money and bringing to church.

God led Adeboye to Aso rock for weekly prayers to OBJ but didnt reveal to Adeboye that OBJ was stealing money?

Right now, Daniels who frequent RCCG is killing people all over Ogun state but our Daddy GO is not aware, Oyinlola who goes there also steals public funds blind in Osun, Even Akala who attends the place is running Oyo down but Daddy GO can never bite those fingers that feed him.

How come GO just goes ignorant or plays deaf and Dumb when it comes to issue of money being stolen

Either God is being corrupt or Adeboye is a Thief.

For God I can say categorically that he doesnt lie and he doesnt ned the money but for people who desire Jets.

Wasnt the same GO that told both Gbenga Daniels and Osoba that both of them would rule Ogun State in 2003.

God cannot lie but GO? I cant say

There are lots of issues tied to your question.

Pastor: Mr dayo thks for the Donation of N10m to the church. Hope u got it from a clean source otherwise i would report to EFCC

DAYO: Yes MOG i got it from a clean source here are the evidences of my Transaction.

The evidences presented by Dayo looks genuine& God didn't say otherwise that Dayo stole or didn't steal the money.

ICPC/EFCC conducted a strict and thorough investigation and found that Dayo didn't follow due process in making his money, that dayo must refund the money.

Dayo would u blame your pastor for collecting the money initially haven lied to him?
and If it was found out that Dayo got the money from defrauding people and making some people wail, What should the church do in this instance?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only by dayokanu(m): 6:48pm On Jul 19, 2010
I have never been a believer in Win at all cost, and that is what the Arsenal youth ranks preach about developing young players but there is a balance to be found here because Germany was somehow able to do both during their golden years of the past 4 years where they won all the prizes available from U17 to U21 and were able to transfer gems from that sustained period into their world cup team in 2010.
At the senior stage its about winning at all cost but at the youth level, It should be about development and learning. The Germans won because they perfected their skills and knew the basics thats why they could seamlessly move to the senior team and the World cup. the muscular part of it and strenght you would gain as you grow up Case study CR7. He came as a fragile 18yr old who knew the fundamentals but later grew up and became more muscular and now one of the best players in the world.

The problem with England is their footballing culture, I don't think what happened with Ramsey/Shawcross would happen in any other top footballing nation where someone got a National call up after rashly breaking a fellow footballer's leg the previous day or where everyone would be happy to encourage playing rough against Arsenal (because in their warped thinking, Arsenal are not english and don't play the english way).
The problem with England is a mental one. They turn logic upside down. How can anyone associate a footballing career with Heskey, Crouch, even Walcott? If lebron James was English they would tell him to be a striker and learn how to head the ball. You dont go for the physicality first you go for the brains. In some cases you can develop physically after teenage but the brain cant.

In any other English club, Theo would be top dog, scoring goals with pace (just like Owen was at Liverpool) and being praised for it with everyone overlooking all his other deficiencies but not at Arsenal. Lampard and Gerrard are all rated higher than Cesc in the PL because they can always use their physical attributes to overcome other clubs in the PL or even atimes in europe (just like Istanbul) but then collapse when they face Germany who can match them physically and then beat them on technique.
Cesc is way better than lampard and Gerrard, Only deluded Englih journalists would think otherwise. The Irony was that the Germans were not even physical with them, most of the German players are lightweight kids Lahm, Mertersacker, Ozil, Muller are not even physically dominating.

They just showed them they had more sense. The only thing missing is learning how to play when the game isnt going your way like against Spain

I follow the Arsenal academy and I can see what Arsene has transformed that academy into, you need to see the young players breaking through now, the very first thing being developed now is technique. Jack Wilshere was the one of the first set of players to be brought in at age 9 (in 2001) and developed within the club, all those coming after him are also good technical players like Henderson, Afobe and Aneke (who were both members of the Euro U17 winning team who played good football enroute to beating Spain in the final)
I havent seen any of them but going from wengers antecedents with players, I dont expect their fate to be different from Aliadiere, Hoyte, Senderos, Djorou, Owusu-Abeyie and Lupoli

Arsenal can only do their part, it is left to the English football establishment to change their mentality, it is one of the problems they have with Arsene and why they don't like him, he was the very first person to show by his actions in the transfer market that the quality of players being developed in England wasn't up to scratch.
England lack the genius to do it like Brazilians and Argentines, They cant even teach the kids how to do it right like they do in Spain, Holland, Germany and France. They just think you can run your way through the whole field

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only by dayokanu(m): 5:26pm On Jul 19, 2010
Truth is, Cesc's issue (same with Hleb, Adebayour, and even king Henry in the past) is simply because we have failed to win anything since he joined us. Puyol said as much. I will not exonerate Cesc from all the public ridicule we've been put through. I am putting my self in his shoes and puyol and co as my friends (though I don't have friends with such moronic attitude). If a friend of mine says anything rude to a club I claim to love, I will publicly deny them and their statements. Cesc has not done that! Even when he was questioned about the Tshirt debacle, all he said was we shouldn't read meanings into it and his friends were only joking. RUBBISH! Y shouldn't we? What would it have cost him to say, he didn't think its right and its disrespectful to Arsenal?
Well since Cesc is not daft, He know Arsenal needs him more than he needed them. Its a simple game most of us would play. If you know your employer cant do anything without you and the whole coy depended on you, then you can do anything even advertise for a rival company.

No one has any respect for the club called Arsenal. I trust if na Faggotson, the moment Cesc shows any disloyal attitude, His arse would be flung out to the Antarctica, but wenGAY is a joke amongst coaches, fans and even his own players.

Would he have feltthe same if it was Casillas who put a Madrid jersey on him? Would his reactions have been the same? Like I said, he is our captain, we expect more from him and if he can't he should drop the captain's arm band. Henry would never do that! and he is french. Even RVP won't do that to Arsenal.
Casilass do it to Madrid? he dey crase? Does he know how many legends has played for Madrid? If they are ranking Madrid players Casilass might not make top 50. But Cesc saw that Arsenal has no history, no legacy he can try any thing with them. Tell me Can Puyol ever wear a Man Utd jersey in public?

You now get when I say there are clubs and there are CLUBS

I have said over and over again, I am not against him leaving and Barca should show more respect for him by offering a price a player like him deserves but if I was Wenger, Ild rather sit him on the bench than sell him off to Barca this season. Maybe next season but definitely not this season.
Barca cant show respect to Arsenal when Cesc doesnt show respect to Arsenal. can your friend respect your dad, If you his son abuse him in public? Moreover they know Arsenal is a small club its just the same way Arsenal would treat Cardiff City

Anyways, all blame goes to Wenger. When he was going to sell Toure and Adebayour last year, I said it back then on this same NL that we should expect more of our players to leave from this season so Im not surprised at all. In fact, Im only surprised someone like RVP has not thrown in a transfer request.
RVP has not thrown in a request because he is a below average player even when he is not injured which is very rare

If we don't win anything this year due to his lack of spending again, then we better accept that we are a selling club and concentrate on qualifying for the champs league every season.
You are telling me you need another season to validate a FACT that has been established like many years ago? Doesnt that sound like Delusion?
Christianity Etc › Is Rccg And Pastor Adeboye Obliged To Return Akingbola Looted Offering? by dayokanu(op): 5:11pm On Jul 19, 2010
Since we all know that Akingbola and Ibru were looting the public silly through their banks and donating part of it to the church, I personally think the church should refund this money back to the govt.

Any key donations the duo made should be returned to the public

Since the 2 were key donors for the jet, and other key financial dealings of the church.

This brings me to the story of a man who was alleged to have sold a generator at Sheraton Hotels and gave 10% to Christ Embassy, what became of the money?
Christianity Etc › Re: Nigerian Pastor's N28bn Assets Frozen By Uk Court by dayokanu(m): 5:06pm On Jul 19, 2010
My simple question is When would pastor Adeboye and RCCg return to the public stolen money Akingbola and Ibru gave as offering and gifts to church?

Since Akingbola was a key financier of the church, whatever stolen money he donated should be refunded or is the church allowed to gulp down stolen/fraudulently gotten money?

Cos then Ritualists, armed robbers, assasins, 419s should go and donate money.

Kinda overrated. People tie their happiness to marriage which shouldnt be. People think when they are married all their sorrows and worries end.

The attraction fades after a while, what sustains it is the other intrinsic things in your spouse. In your spouse should be a friend, a biz partner, a buddy probably when the attraction fades other thing would make u stay.

@DK

Alaba was exceptional no doubt (only someone who is being economical with the truth wouldn't acknowledge as much) but I wouldn't read much into that high rating because the English press have now descended into some sort of masochism in ridiculing their players as opposed to the previous hype. The fact is that as good as Alaba was, Austria still got beat.

Even from my previous post I did say that the Austrians moved the ball around better than the English and the failings of English soccer were still very much evident in that team depending on their physical advantage to overcome the Austrians, but it is interesting to note that the only Arsenal player in the English squad played as a midfielder despite that fact that he was a left back in our academy team that should show you the quality of young players coming through our academy now and he did get the winning goal.

As to your question about our players, Tom Cruise did beat Austria yesterday and did you see Le Coq's performance yesterday for France? he even won a penalty for France despite playing so deep and putting in such a fine DM display when they beat the Netherlands yesterday, he will be on loan with Lorient in France for this season, know that name well cos yu'll be hearing about him for sure.

I think the French team will win this year's under 19s though I'm yet to see any Group B match and they will likely do very well in next year's FIFA U20s, that squad is strong and that Kakuta chap from Chelsea is also very good.
Thats where you get it all wrong. Young players should be trained to develop the football intelligence and not a win at all cost attitude. Winning should be a bonus

The "At least we won" attitude is the problem England is facing right now, The young players should be taught the basics that include intelligent run off the ball passing and other intricate things.

When you are pleased with the "At least we won" at youth level then its going to be a epic fail later when they grow.

Youth players shouldnt be playing Catennaccio, or scything down the opponents football.

When your players like Walcott, Heskey, SWP, Joe Cole were growing they lacked the basic football instinct but as long as they can score Nothing else counts thats why they grew up to be failed adults.

Nigeria kept winning at U17 but what did he translate to for us? Look at a player like Toni Kroos he was at U17 in 2007 he didnt win but you could see the touch and the football brain 3 yrs later he is at the world cup

While Crisantus and Ganiyu Oseni, Akinsola and co that won where are they now?

In the next few years If Alaba continues with his technical development by the time he grows Physically and becomes a top rated midfieder in Europe the English players would still be battling relegation at Hull City and Stoke City they would now tell the world that 7yrs ago, I beat Alaba at a Youth tournament.

In Atlanta we beat Brazil at the Olympics, Their team members like Ronaldo, Rivaldo went on to be WPOTY, R.Carlos, Dida etc got to the top of their career. (And they also lied about their ages like most South Americans do)

What now became of Mobi Oparaku, Teslim Fatusi, Amokachi,  Abiodun Obafemi, and others? They are still basking in the "I beat Brazil in Atlanta" euphoria.

In U17 2001, Opabunmi, Victor Brown etc beat Argentina and Tevez(Who also lied about age) 9yrs down the line Tevez is a world class striker but what happened to their own set?

To England, The English youth teams have been consistent in Youth tournaments in Europe lately, How come it doesnt translate to National success like it did for the Germans, the French(Clairefontaine), The Dutch, The Spaniards etc simple they were more concerned with winning at youth level than developing their game

The famous Ajax academy and La Masia produced many world class players because the players were taught how to play football the right way when they are young instead of the bully boy football that might win when others are still slight in frame but when they all grow up physically, the muscle that was your Advantage in academy, everyone now has it but its too late for you to develop a brain

Heskey was probably outmuscling other players in the academy, when they all became strong and grown, His major skill cant be used again.

Read up about Graziano Pele of Italy too. I saw this guy in 2005 U21 bullying others on the field with his size, but what now became of him?
