deshclones: the fact that you tell lies doesn't mean everybody does...ask anybody that plies the route i mentioned...most tyms i get into lagos way past midnight cos of my job..i still drive all the way from ikeja down to my base and i have never been harassed nor robbed....crime rate in lagos has reduced drastically..call home and verify..don't make baseless arguments here.
I told you to differentiate the people you can bluff and me..Below is a report from the US embassy stating exactly the same thing I said. Robbery on osborne was a regular thing that most colleagues at work would wait till late before leaving

There also has been an increase in reliable reports of armed robberies in and around Ikoyi, but more specifically the area of Osborne Road-Dolphin Estate. The criminals time their attacks to coincide with traffic traveling between Ikoyi and the mainland in the early evening to capitalize on the inevitable congestion and slower moving traffic. Criminals have previously set up roadblocks masquerading as police checkpoints and used other ruses to ambush unsuspecting motorists traveling between the airport and the islands in the Kingsway Road-2nd Avenue area and along the Third Mainland Bridge, particularly in the early morning hours (0400-0500).

Can you tell me what crime is bigger than going to church and blowing up everyone

or which crime is greater than Fulani herdmen wiping out a whole village killing women and children mainly.

Just tell me which crime

deshclones: as per the crime rate..its only boko boys that are giving naija a bad name security wise...here in lagos, night club business is thriving wella...i normally roll with ma friends every wkends..we move from chevron down to clubs in allen, from there to festac and end up at v.i and lekki every weekend..all these happen btwn the hours of 10pm and 3am b4 we retire home around 3.30am and honestly i have never experienced any form of crime...lagos is relatively safe at night..all you gats do is tip (like 200naira) those alaye boys at the parking lots of the various night clubs scattered all over, they will guard your car wella...
I have told you to limit your lies to people who never worked in Nigeria.

As at 2008 every week there are always Robbers on osborne Road in Ikoyi. I dont leave office till 10pm to avoid traffic because the robbers thrive in traffic.

What of in Apongbon? is there any week they dont rob in Apongbon

So which part of lagos is Safe? Lekki phase 1 and VI?

deshclones: grow a brain abeg...this your foolery is annoying....what prompted the legalization of arms in the u.s?where do u even stay?who started all these gang wars and everything? do u watch csi channel atall? the only good thing about the western world is that they have good press that hardly report all the crimes that take place there...i will accept that naija is worse than u.s crime wise the day i see or hear a 15yr old kid carry a gun and go on a shooting spree,or some dude eating up another live human being or terrorists hijacking two aircrafts and crashing them into uba or union bank towers...until then STFU
Dude eating another one? I guess you didnt hear of Clifford orji.

15yr carrying gun to kill, How is that different from 15yr old Guys who carry gun in Kano , Yobe and Kaduna to shoot people? How about the 15yr old who strap bombs to themselves to kill 200 ppl

At least, 200 persons were killed in the multiple explosions that rocked Kano metropolis last Friday from attacks by suspected Boko Haram fighters, Sunday Trust findings have revealed

http://sundaytrust.com.ng/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=9101:boko-haram-insurgency-spreads-to-north-west-200-killed-in-kano&catid=54:lead-stories&Itemid=127

mylunch: You are correct, Crimes abroad are unbelievable, the thieves here are known as bold thieves, some people's speciality is defrauding only the elderly, all sort of things u would never imagine.Back home,i have heard of armed robbers asking an elderly man to keep his money that they don't need it,something like free d old man.But here,if u are old or not that is ur problem.
But you also did not hear about kidnappers attacking a whole traditional ruler, or Boko haram attacking the Enir of Fika?

Anyone that has FACTS should bring it forward and lets see for ourselves.

I spoke to one Ibo girl not long ago.

She went to a Nursing school in Iboland, Got to America in 2010 wthout Papers. Currently, She has built a house in her village. Story building with pent house at the back up to roofing

She has set his brother in business to the tune of 2m naira.

She has papers now, Works legally and she just turned 27 like 2 months ago.

She is doing quite well in America, drives a brand new car and she is planning to buy a house in US by next year

How is the crime rate in US higher than in Nigeria is it because it gets reported?

How many ppl were killed in Aurura Colorado and in Wisconsin that made it national news. Total is probably less than 25.

Thats way less than what boko haram kills on a regular Sunday, less than what Fulani herdmen kill in Jos on a normal night, Thats way less than what Armed robbers and ritualist kill in SS, SE and SW on a daily basis

afam4eva: You're right. But in Nigeria, people who take precautionary measures and are not lousy live longer than the talkatives and waka abouts. But in the US, you could be shot because just because someone's name is "psycopath".
Which precautionary measure can you take about going to church and get bombed? Several thoudands that get killed in Nigeria by Boko haram, their only crime is that they went to church.

What precautionary measure can you take to avoid kidnappings in SS and SE? Which precautionary measure can you take to avoid Armed Robbers in the SW?

I pray tell me.

manny4life: LOL, I know bro, I know someone can live a good life in Nigeria, because all my cousins who relocated back home are good witnesses to that. Even my siblings and I have same long term goals as well, I'm gradually getting tired of staying here. You make so much expense yet income stays the same way, anyway, i just wanted to clarify that someone's job doesn't determine what kind of citizens they are except if you're talking about social class, then YES, but if it's racial class, that's different.
manny,

Dont let anyone deceive you. I worked in both environment at the topmost level and I can categorically tell you that You are way better in the US than in Nigeria

Anyone that wants to dispute this can lets have a debate and see how it goes, I would give you specifics. Dont mind people who have never worked anywhere in their life claiming one is better.

Politics or getting contracts is the only field where you can be better in Nigeria than in America

afam4eva: You see , that's what scares me the most about the US. In Nigeria i can exchange words with an Agbero in oshodi bustop because i know there's not much he can do but over there, you don't know what they have in their pockets.
But dont you have to deal with highway robbers, kidnappers and Boko haram on a daily basis

In US you can start your car at 3am to enter a gas station to buy anything. In Nigeria if you dare go out beyond a certain time, you are on your own

President Goodluck Jonathan has rejected calls for the convocation of a Sovereign National Conference.

This is contrary to the calls by some groups and individuals that an SNC will give ethnic nationalities the opportunity to choose how to relate or associate with one another.

Jonathan, who spoke at the Dialogue with the President at the 16th Nigerian Economic Summit in Abuja on Tuesday, said the nation had gone beyond the call for the SNC and should be concerned about how to build a prosperous country.

The President also blamed kidnapping on government’s failure to address the problem when it was evolving.

He also stated that corruption was prevalent in the private sector as it had been in the public sector, adding that what should be done to check the menace was to strengthen law enforcement agencies.

According to the President, the constitution has already prescribed how the fundamental law can be changed; adding that any attempt to change the law by any other method would be an illegality.

The President said, “We have the 1999 Constitution which clearly prescribes how the constitution can be changed. We have the National Assembly that makes laws for the nation.

“Sometimes we get carried away by some jargons. It is not the number of conferences that we hold that can solve our problems. The countries that we cite as examples in development, it is not conference that solved their problems.

“We have gone beyond asking how ethnic groups can live together. We will not allow history to hold us down. It was in 1914 that the Southern and Northern Protectorates were amalgamated. In four years now, we shall be celebrating 100 years of our existence as a nation. So we have gone beyond the agitation for Sovereign National Conference.”

In Osun State, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Chief Sunday Akere, said the state had a N25bn internal debt.

Akere said N18.5bn of the N25bn was owed by the ousted administration of Olagunsoye Oyinlola.

He said, “In the twilight of the Oyinlola government in 2010, the administration secured an N18.5bn loan from United Bank for Africa. A major chunk of the loan was to go into the construction of six world class stadiums.”

Akere said the state government, under Oyinlola, was paying a monthly interest of N615m on the N18.5bn, adding that after refinancing the loan, the “(Rauf) Aregbesola administration now pays a monthly interest of less than N100m.”

This shows that the PDP was the one who accumulated the debt to build 6 world class stadiums

DM is one of the easiest roles to play on the field as long as you are Athletic. Thats why many Africans thrive in a lot

A random Congolese, Senegalese, malian would play that role

But Gustavo does what he does well that is man marking with little fouls. In that madrid game he wasnt fouling anyone. The ref was just a Pusssie.

Viktor Kassai is one of the worst refs in Europe. He was easily intimidated by the Bernabeu fans. I mean who would give such a penalty and yellow to Alaba in the 4th min of the CL semi. The only problem with Gustavo is that he is very poor going forward especially for a Brazilian.

Who are the top 5 DM in Europe BTW

Usain Bolt has called Bayern Doctor Wolfhart Muller the best doctor in the world

Of course, it is now obvious to Blake that the Bolt he will face in the 200m is now a completely revamped model after being treated by the Munich doctor, Hans Müller-Wohlfahrt, who is seen as a guru by so many of the world’s top sportsmen and women.

“He’s been a major part of my success of my career,” explained Bolt, whose problems associated with his spine condition, scoliosis, have regularly required the magic touch of the Bayern Munich doctor.

“I’ve been going to him since I’m 18, 19 and he’s really done great work on me. After the trials, he looked at my muscles, did his treatment and said, ‘Don’t worry Usain, you’re going to do great, just go back and train’. Hans is more than a doctor, he takes us to dinner, looks after me, comes in on weekends to treat me and make sure I’m OK.”
That would prolly put Gustavo's position in jeopardy! Still think we overpaid for him. He did do a decent job on Ozil in the UCL semis that's his high point but he was lucky cos a stricter ref may have sent him off
In this current market can you define what overpaid is? We bought Gustavo for 17m. Martinez asking price is 40m

Can we say Martinez is 3 times better than Gustavo? Gustavo shut down Madrid effectively. I was watching the game with friends and no one can really say Gustavo was rough on Ozil

Everyfucking time he was always getting the ball first.

He was key to our game at the Bernabeu.

I dont think Martinez would put Gustavo in jeopardy cos 1. Schweinsteiger has been in and out of injury for the past one yr and not a guarantee. Secondly Tymoschuk and Gustavo are too limited attackingwise. Kroos is too lightweight to be the second midfielder.

This Schweinsteiger injuries might push us towards Martinez more and possibly push Tymoschuk out of Allianz.

Also there is our youth player 17yr Emre Can. He was a star in the last FIFA U-17. He can also get some minutes here and there

How much does Osun generate and what is the awuf luv'n Aregbe doing about it? No governor should be a parasite with no pride to develop a self sustaining economy for his state.
As I said earlier, more sensible governors would have invested in the youth as the way forward. More sensible governors are looking to create industrial bases and infrastructure with their awuf as seed money; only the thieving ones look for untracable places to pump money for looting.

While Aregbe is spending on the aged in his own state

This is what Dickson - Retardeen jonathans protege is spending money on

Speaker of Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Mr. Kombowei Benson, and 23 other members of the assembly are battling with the allegation that they mismanaged N78m belonging to the state under false pretences that they attended a conference in South Africa.

The allegation was first made public through a petition addressed to the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar, by a civil society group, Transparency and Good Governance Coalition.

Benson and other lawmakers were said to have written to Governor Seriake Dickson, demanding the money to attend the 43rd Commonwealth Parliamentary Association in South Africa from June 29 to July 8.

The petition read in part, “Unknown to Bayelsans, the Speaker and other members of the Bayelsa House of Assembly allegedly never attended the conference but simply allegedly converted the fund given to them to their personal use.

“While the conference which started on the 29th of June was underway, the Speaker and members of the Assembly were reportedly and allegedly engaged in a frolic of their own in Nigeria until the 7th of July 2012.”

It was also alleged that the Speaker and the other legislators left the country for South Africa on July 7, got to South Africa in the morning of July 8 without attending the conference
