Christianity Etc › Re: Why Are Women More Religious Than Men? by dayokanu(m): 9:02pm On Apr 04, 2012
pro01: They are ostensibly more religious for several reasons. Women love quick solutions to complex and not-so-complex problems, and since they're not particularly fond of thinking, planning or working their way through their (often self-inflicted) woes, they settle for the easier and more 'magical' option of religiosity. They always want the God that answereth by fire to answer to their every self-centred whim.

In addition, they also realise the huge deceptive power of appearing to be religious - especially in a country like Nigeria where they can easily deceive their way into a hapless man's house by pretending to be 'God fearing' and 'prayerful'. They know they can pull the wool over many people's eyes and get away with a multitude of sins without arousing suspicion by simply acting very religious.

There is also the 'social contagion ' aspect of it - which is pretty much the same for religiosity as it is with every other thing pertaining to women: if it is in vogue these days to seem religious, then they would also join the band-wagon. For instance, since all the society ladies and 'happening chicks' now flock to a certain 'trending' pastor for intensive prayer sessions, why would Madam Emi-Nor-wa-nbe be left out?

So there you have it. Women are more religious (in the most superficial sense of the word) for several reasons.
Pro1 was on point.

lurkee: Yes because if I came out in 5 mins smelling of someone else he would know immediately. Also I would need to put on my bra, arrange my hair make sure nothing looks suspicious. If I was in a meeting and my husband came to my place of work, I will not let him wait 30 mins without an explanation. From the sounds of it, he was in a meeting with one person so why could he not excuse himself to tell his wife to wait if he was not doing something suspicious in the meeting so serious that it required a locked door.
Even when you wake up in the morning, brush, take a shower, iron your clothes and dress up does it take up to 30mins

So fixing bra and arranging hair is what takes 30mins.

Why should you rush out of a meeting to go see your husband if you are not suffering from Guilty conscience?

spain can cope with their slow pace with the number of technicians in the team.
chelsea on the other hand are just suffering from the number of old farts in their team.
Surely a workman blames his tool. Everyone is too slow for him. Spain is too slow, Hodgson was too slow, Ancelotti is too slow, AVb was too slow,

Yet the same Lampard you campaigned against has been a fixture under Di matteos resurgence

If it was an office where ppl barge in time and again then locking the door is necesary.
Accusation of cheating is grave and not something you should throw around.

If you are not certain of your accusation, dont start it cos it might trigger something way bigger than you bargained for.

I am sure most women would flip when they are wrongly accused of sleeping with someone else

Here's what i got from an Ilaje website.

The Ilajes are a distinguished, distinct linguistic group of the Yoruba stalk made up of four geo-political entities namely Ugbo, Mahin, Etikan and Aheri.
How would the description of Ijebu, Ijesha, Ekiti, Akoko, Egba etc be different from the above?

Cant they say Ngwa is a distinct linguist group of Ibo, or even some Dialects in Ebonyi

ILAJELAND is bounded by the Ijebus to the West, the Ikale to the North, the Itsekiri to the East. The APOI and Arogbo Ijaw to the North East, while the Atlantic ocean formed the southern boundary. No doubt, the Ilajes are one of the most dynamic and enterprising people in Nigeria. Their aquatic skill, coupled with their high adaptational ability enable them to conquer their hash geographical environment and turn it to a big advantage. Consequently, they were able to build large communities like Ugbonla, Aiyetoro, Zion PePe and Orioke. Aiyetoro for example in it's hey-days had the highest per capital income in the whole of Africa and attracted visitors, tourists and researchers from all over the world especially Europe, Canada, and America.

Onlytruth: Beaf, but seriously, how do you explain the fact that there is no SE/SS economic forum (never mind political forum)? Isn't it self evident that any economic development talks in SS should involve SE because of territorial intertwine(of tribes)?
I have thought about it and all I get is that something is amiss somewhere. I don't know who to blame because I don't have insider information. All I know is that current SS has a huge chunk of Igboland. So whatever happens there must be supported by the Igbo in SE. I don't see it any other way, because I know that Igbo has no ill intents on the rest of SS groups. So, it is no longer safe to assume that things are happening, when nothing may be happening, and I know the end of it would not be good for either zones.

Otosdd: @dayokanu. Must he lock d door wen he is inside with a lady. This is not my first time of going 2 d office nd they ve not for once lock dat door tel me wat can explain dat.
Several reasons for a boss to lock the door when with a colleague male or female.

They might be discussing some business sensitive issue,
He might be scolding her and would let others to hear his voice or what the subject matter is,
He might be discussing some people at the place of work,
He might be discussing promotion of other colleagues- Who to promote and who to sack

There are a million and one things that can be discussed and needs to be discussed behind closed doors.

Do you work in an office environment? Has there been a time your boss or colleague told you to come into his/her office and shut the door?

The fishy part is a man thats phocking his colleague, If they told him his wife is around, Most times he would panic and not take up to 30mins before attending to you, But if his hands are clean he would see no reasons to hurry with the colleague

Try and be logical here

I am not in the room with them

But when your husband was told you were at the door, it took him 30mins to open the door, Do you think if he was sleeping with the girl, He would wait for that long to open the door?

Do you have any evidence like ruffled clothes or any hard evidence, A "Look of guilt" is too subjective to be depended on.
