I disagree with this list. Iron rods or reinforcements, both formed and deformed, shouldn't be on the list. Take any reinforcements manufactured in Nigeria to laboratory, they don't pass tests and this is what is causing houses collapsing in Nigeria |
A former deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Olabode George, has dismissed claims that he is looking for appointment under President Bola Tinubu, saying he is too old for such. He noted however that if he was approached or offered such, he would only assist in nominating competent candidates from his party. George, who had been an ardent critic of Tinubu, told our correspondent in a telephone interview on Thursday that he ended his rift with the President, not for appointment, but for peace to reign, and in deference to those who intervened in the matter, at the behest of Tinubu. He stressed that after some senior indigenes of Lagos State and a delegation from the All Progressives Congress visited him to end the longstanding dispute and solicited his support for the Tinubu government, noting that he could never have desired anything more at his age. He stated, “On this, people are only talking rubbish and they need to shut up. This man (Tinubu) is just starting and we said my party was still in court. They said we should let bygones be bygones. In the Bible, it is very clear that vengeance is only with God Almighty and you don’t continue fighting when everybody has persuaded you that it’s enough. “All those saying I want an appointment don’t know what they are saying. What exactly do they want to happen to the young ones coming up? I said I have forgiven him. We had an issue and people settled it for us and I have forgotten about it.” Asked whether or not he would accept an appointment from the government if offered, he stated, “I will give him people that have the knowledge from the party having been a manager of the party for years. If he says he wants me to help him get someone, there are millions of young people who still have all the energy to run around and not me. “It is not for me, because I am not looking for a job. But if he calls me, we will discuss it before the party leaders, put heads together and nominate from our side somebody who is still young, agile, has the knowledge and can add value to this country.” He said he could not congratulate or visit Tinubu at the villa while his party, the PDP, was still in court challenging the outcome of the presidential election. This, he said, would amount to betrayal of his party. Bode George said before the presidential election that took place on 25th February 2023 that he will leave Nigeria to go on self-exile if Tinubu wins the election but changed his statement after Tinubu's inauguration as the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Nigerian Armed forces when he was reminded of such statement which he denied by saying he was quoted out of context. |
Please, criminalise it. Many innocent ladies has been embarrassed and harassed publicly by these useless clowns |
That will never be in doubt. He came prepared and had started well with actions and policies he has taken so far. Nigerians just need to be patient and all of us will benefit from the open heavens that will be unleashed on this country. Nigerians working in public and private services must come out and expose all enemies of Nigeria that plunged the country to the economic woes bedevilling us as a nation |
All my camry cars, Big Daddy, Highlander, Sequila. Muaaahhh!!! |
lhordspy:Apt description of each person, coming from an articulate analytical mind. 10 Gbosas for you ![]() |
Whoever that condemns this is an enemy of progress. This same thing is done in all developed countries. You people that are condemning this should ask your relatives living in overseas whether same thing is obtainable there. Countries that had achieved high level of literacy towed this same line. The repayment of the loan will start after 2 years of graduation, which, to me, is the best thing to happen to the indigent students |
Welcome on board my Rt. Honourable. Your term will bring development to Nigeria as a whole |
Congratulations! Life itself is competition. We need inspiration from one another to spur us on in the race of life. Life will be uninteresting and static if there's no competition. If Chef Dammy had sat in her cocoon and does nothing, she wouldn't have gotten the 500k and 2 weeks cooking tour she got from the Doctor that came out to encourage her. Jagaban will spur some young people to aspire for greater heights too, believing that whatever opposition, criticism and condemnation coming from people, don't lose focus, just set your eyes on the goal. In life you cannot please all the people in life. When you win, all the people condemning you will come out to celebrate you at the end of it all |
Bari Sidika is a serial liar. He must be given Emefiele's treatment before he begin to tamper with evidence. |
CodeTemplar:You are full of negativity and hatred for anything that is good. Just because it is not coming or going to happen in the enclave you came from. The statement emanating from Lagos state government will come to pass in your eyes but you will not benefit from it as you will be tied down in your enclave sulking as usual |
Your cup of tea. Who cares. One of the lost tribes in Lagos. We have moved on with the great Jagaban of Africa |
He must be a sick man. No other word |
Why is Labour party trivialising the monumental fraud and hardship Emefiele brought on Nigerians? This party is beginning to show us who they are and as well letting us know that majority of Nigerians that rejected them at the polls were right after all. How can they reduce the fraud perpetrated against Nigerians to a mere caricature. Have they suddenly forgotten that their case against same inec is still in court? If they want our president to probe inec and yakubu, then, they can withdraw their case against them so that we can all call on Mr president to probe them. Never will these set of people rule Nigeria. Very pathetic lots |
See transformation that's already having positive impacts on the future of Nigeria. This will open up the economy! Many youths went into okada and keke business due to lack of electricity to set up their businesses that requires electricity. No doubt, better days ahead for Nigeria to break forth into prosperity. I expect Akwa Ibom, Lagos, Rivers Kaduna, Anambra, Abia to seize this opportunity and hit the ground running to start in earnest, the commencement of electricity generation that will boast their economic growth and general development. Nigerians will live their dreams under Jagaban |
If a man of your age is still asking for advice on how to live your life, then, something is wrong somewhere. Let no one deceive you, time is not on your side. I married at 33, 24 years ago, I am still paying school fees. God has blessed you with a job that you've been able to own a house and a car, you still come on social media to seek for advice on what to do with your life. Get a lady that you will love and cherish and begin the plan to settle down. Never settle for baby mama, it is a landmine that will disrupt the flow of your life. |
The reason for the height is to allow water to flow into houses with high gravity/pressure. At that level, you don't need pumping machine to get the water to its destination |
Thank you for enlighten us to know more of Ikwerre tribe in Nigeria. You would have compressed the write-ups in one article before uploading it. The good message was passed. Nigeria is a beautiful place with diverse people from different tribes and this is what makes the country so unique. Once in a while, other indigenous people can follow suit as I expect this to promote oneness among us. Cheers |
The way to go |
Oyebanji is focused in transforming Ekiti State through this laudable infrastructure development. One of the problems our farmers are facing in Ekiti State is the inaccessible roads to various farm settlements in the State. Prioritizing road reconstruction and opening up new ones will surely improve food production in Ekiti State. Thank you on this one Mr Governor. |
PrimeWatermark:Your remuneration is too poor for chartered Quantity Surveyors. If you want good and experienced ones, up your offer, twice what you advertised |
Hadi Sirika must not go unpunished. He was one of the ministers that worked independently without supervision from the presidency. Never again should Nigerians allow this kind of man oversee or hold portfolio in the country again. You could imagine the amount of dollars they stole on this show of shame |
What matters now is that federal government should allow those interested in importing fuel to do so to break the monopoly of NNPC. When price is deregulated, there must be free market too |
Mr Integrity, Buhari, was never what they called him. His government will go down in history as the most corrupt regime, worse than IBB's. Many will be revealed in the coming days and such money that were embezzled must be recovered, because Nigeria needs those money to survive as a nation |
Good riddance to bad rubbish. Go and enjoy your loot and the insecurity you brought on Nigerians. I know inside of me that the suffering you brought upon this nation for 8 years of your rule will be visited on you in katsina state by same people you treated as nobody. When you need them they will not answer you. |
This is one of the god of men that called themselves to their so-called ministry to fill their tummy. Any one that called himself pastor/politician at the same time are liars and thieves. This one is not different from them. Where is your political base? What have you done to raise the standard of living of your church members? How many states have you visited to campaign in your entire life? Do you think sitting in Lagos and blabbing on TV is the only thing that can make you president? How many men have you lifted out of poverty in your church not to talk of Nigeria? How many people knows you in zamfara, Enugu, borno, ekiti etc. You said well when you called Asiwaju the president of the federal republic of Nigeria because he was elected to be. You can cry from now till eternity, it will never change that. I will give you an assignment, conduct an election in your church and see whether you will win before coming out to spew trash. Buhari that you called your president is leaving Nigerians more impoverished than he met them. If a man can chose buhari as his president, I don't think we need such person near aso rock |
I agree with Ortom on this one, insecurity in the country was taken to another level, where innocent souls were wasted by the evil cow herders. They were given free reign to unleash their terrors on Nigeria. Now that their leader will be out of power, a day of reckoning must start to deal with these people that they can't get away with their nefarious and wicked behaviours. Ortom, as a governor, performed woefully that he couldn't rise up to defend his people. He let them down by exposing them to attack. He was expected to have used the state resources to deal with them, but preferred to be crying like a day old child. He failed as a governor, just the same way Buhari failed to defend Nigerians |
Who would have thought that ManCity will end the season with 9 points above the 2nd placed Arsenal? Indeed, it is not over until it is over. I salute their resolute and the energy they displayed in every game. |
Is Atiku still in Nigeria? I thought he had gone back to his country of origin - UAE. Stop blabbing and go back to your country, you are allowed to come back in 4 years time to re-contest as usual. Nigerians have moved on |
Let them pay for the false alarms that had pervaded our social media after the announcement of the election results. We can't continue to live under palpable wrong information that can set the country ablaze. Nigeria must move forward as a nation |
His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, you have made history by being the first Yoruba president that will occupy the seat out of the former presidents that comes outside of Ogun state. You represents the true Democrat that has the sagacity of Charles-de-Guille, the wisdom of Socrates, the mien of Wilson Churchill, the open heart possessed by Awolowo that will heal the wounds inflicted by the past heads of state/presidents on Nigeria as a nation. You possess the drive, and can-do attitude to reposition Nigeria on the path of greatness. You used the best brains from the East, West, North and South of Nigeria to make Lagos get the foot hold in the committee of self-sustaining states in Nigeria, that will never go cap-in-hand to the center for bail out. We believed in your ability that you can do same to bring back to shore, the sinking ship of this nation. We are ready as Nigerian citizens to restore the battered glory of Nigeria. Welcome on board, the great Jagaban of Africa |
Calabar, Calabar. Where every street have their own Etutubong |
