Lmao! They still wanna make money outta pandemic crisis. Thank God I don't dwell among the fools in Nigeria. A mad man on here was comparing Nigeria to Trinidad grin. Trinidad gave out cash and paid workers salary for 3 months and also provided money for rent and asked all workers to stay home. Over here the US government has done the same.

Dear Abubakar Atiku, please quit politicizing COVID-19 with mischievous drama. If you are sincere about about this cause, gather your friends and associates as you did during your campaign fundraising to raise GOOD money and distribute using either your own foundation or a trusted independent NGO to reach target beneficiaries. Afterall, the owner of Alibaba has been going about, doing good without any mischievous drama. Please do the right thing in the right way.
People like you are the problem that Nigerians have to deal with. I have received money from the government and full protective kits due to the essential service that I provide. Just today Trinidad sent all worker home with full pay for the next 3 months, rents paid and other provisions. Your so called government has done nothing than dish out orders. Atiku has said the right thing that should be done by a sensible government.

PoliticsRe: Sanwo-Olu: All Banks, Offices, Markets, Courts Should Close From Thursday by DCmonster: 8:11pm On Mar 24, 2020
amaridigital:
Please don't blame the Government alone. Corporate and religious organizations are doing nothing and it's so sad. I suggested a nationwide fundraising for some of these items to be distributed across the 774 LGA's including food few days ago. Look, if we don't lockdown now, we are at risk of loosing up to 10% of our population to this virus within a year.
The question is, how do we survive this situation for six months? To be honest, no one alive today has any experience on how to deal with a pandemic of this proportion because this happens once in a century. That's why the whole world is on her knees. The US health department was of the opinion that the pattern of infection in their country is more peculiar in comparison with other part of the world because it infects and kills younger persons/teenagers there and they don't know why. It's too early to determine or detect any pattern of infection in Nigeria.
I'm not too impressed the way our religious organizations were silent on this. They should be in the forefront of raising fund to buy senitisers, gloves, food items, toleteries for the poor public. These are the same people whose generation upon generation have been contributing their hard earned money in form of offerings and tithes without any equity in the organization. The GO's reward is here on earth while the member's reward is only due in heaven.
What would Jesus do in this kind of situation. He fed 5000 people will few fishes and he shared the story of the good Samaritan. Let the Churches and mosques donate important items to the needy now. We only have few days opportunity. We need to lockdown as soon as possible. If the religious houses won't listen, let us all be our brother's keeper.
You were making a very good point, then you derailed by going religiously bias. Why do citizens pay tax? What happened to all the thieving politicians and criminal billionaires who doesn't nothing but oppress the masses? Is Jack ma a pastor or church? All other countries making provisions are they churches? Where I live the government made provisions for it and we also have a very good system. I have never spent from my credit card for 2 years now, but I just dusted it off. Watch your mouth young man and keep the church outta your mouth. I bet you are a Muslim or atheist.
PoliticsRe: Sanwo-Olu: All Banks, Offices, Markets, Courts Should Close From Thursday by DCmonster: 6:13pm On Mar 24, 2020
Very useless government! What Provision have you made for the residents of your state? Just giving stupid order as if you are feeding any man on the street. Over here the government made adequate provisions. Fucking deluded bastards, Nigerians are on there own, because this bastards are all useless. They can't share sanitisers, face mask or hand gloves to the populace. I heard people are selling for exorbitant prices out there on the street. But they can give orders.

[quote author= post=87712285]Any sane citizen will hold their Governors and LG chairmen responsible for most hardship they are going through.

They all get BILLIONS of NAIRA every month and over 70% of them has nothing to show for it.

But since these governors know that they have so many illiterates and the ones who know the truth but just love deceiving themselves, they governed and all blames go to the FG they keep looting the money and buy mansions overseas with loaded foreign bank accounts in hard currencies!

They know even if they don't give them basic amenities like drinking water or construct the roads that lead to their various houses, it is Buhari Buhari ooo they will be shouting and wailing on.

Illiteracy is not only a disease, it is something worse.
Most Nigerians need to be enlightened, but the question is will these rogues governing them allow their eyes to be opened?

It makes it more sad that the oil producing states that take home the highest revenues have the worst economy!

This post by dukeprince50 confirms our post above.

Say what you know 100% only. As a matter of fact tribago have more than enough nurses that they are even sponsoring some to the UK. Their health care system is 100% better than that of Nigeria. I was in Nigeria in November /december, as a matter of fact I even visited LUTH as an alumni.

Country with one of the highest crime rates in the world.

I'm telling you I've visited the place and you are even talking from afar.
High crime rate in Trinidad, yes agreed! Tobago has one of the lowest crime rate in the Caribbeans. USA and SA have high crime rates than tribago, can you compare either of them with Nigeria. I repeat they have better system in entirety than Nigeria will ever get in years to come. My fiancee is from Trinidad so I visit there often, so I know more than you already know about that country.

I was in the Port of Spain years ago, and it's no different from Nigeria.

Stating the obvious about the Nigerian healthcare system would win no medals.

What we must do as a country is realise our failings and make the necessary adjustments collectively.

Everyone seems to think the fault of the nation isn't theirs.

The sum total of the average Nigerian is what we receive in terms of GDP, standard of living, access to healthcare and access to potable water.

Nigerians are the problem of Nigeria.
Am sorry, you sound like a zombie. Are you one? I don't live in trini, but how can you compare tribago with Nigeria? They have far better system than Nigeria can ever get in years to come. I was in Lagos 3 months ago as well.

But you spoke of Nigeria as a whole.
Nigeria cannot have a total lockdown. For a lockdown to be effective it takes the total number of days it takes for the virus to incubate which is 14 days and after which infected people call in emergency service and they get picked up for further isolation and treatment. Does Nigeria have an effective swift emergency response system? Does Nigeria have an efficient health care system? They can't afford not with the present clueless government. Even Trinidad and Tobago is presently on total lockdown, I was supposed to visit there before the whole thing.
