olatade: This man is a former COAS, Chief of Army Staff. By the contents of terms and conditions of service, he is entitled to a driver and an orderly who are serving military personnel. His residence is equally secured by serving military personnel . The choice not to be wear uniforms is dictated by the circumstances. No retired General of that status will leave his Military Orderly who has been with him for decades for an SSS officer, if there is anything like that. The person stooping is a serving soldier dutifully attending to his boss, a 3 star general. I challenge you to cross check these facts to avoid sensational reports. What is so extraordinary in a soldier officially attending to his boss, a general at that? Oh shut up. Show me anywhere in the world where the secret service cleans the shoe of his boss in public. Nigerians and their retar.ded way of thinking. |

I am happy to read this. Even assuming that she is a drug addict: 1. She has to consent to the tests before it can be carried out on her. They have no right to carry out a medical procedure on a non-incapacitated adult without her consent (except ordered by law). 2. Even if she did give her consent for the test, Davido has no right to release her medical records to the public.
She should sue both the clinic and Davido for damages. She stands a good chance of winning a lot of money from them because her case is strong. |
Celebrities › Re: Davido Replies Sophie Momodu; Reveals How She Manipulated & Exploited Him by deadie(m): 11:50pm On Dec 30, 2015 |
I am with Dele Momodu on this. It is very wrong for the mother of the little girl to be smoking cannabis, if at all it is true. But what Davido should have done is to seek custody of the child with the evidence of this cannabis-smoking activity. In the absence of that, that child is still an infant and is considered as being cared for by the mom. So on what basis should they try to fly abroad with a 7-month old infant without the mum/her consent? It is a pure case of abduction that would not be tolerated anywhere in the world. |
Travel › Re: My Funny Jjc Experience In Canada........ by deadie(m): 10:17am On Dec 25, 2015 |
Op, I enjoyed reading ur post. When I came to Germany, my study started with an international workshop. I felt like I did not come with good corporate looking clothes. I spent about 250 euros shopping for suit, shirt, tie and shoes. I went to this conference and the host was wearing jeans and t-shirts and some of my classmates-to-be were wearing shorts and sneakers because it was summer. I was so embarrassed and the money was a total waste. It was the only time I wore that suit in the 3 yrs i had it and have given it out because I outgrew it. Since then, I have made presentations at international conferences and always wore jeans.
But I also had a bad experience when I returned to naija. My friend and classmate was supposed to present his masters thesis topic and since I was in school (UNN) to collect my certificate, I decided to attend. Could you believe I was asked to leave by the HoD because I wasn'the wearing a tie? Eventhough I was no longer a student.
Another experience I had here was that I bought liquid soap thinking it was cream. Only when my skin started peeling did I complain and a friend who could read German pointed out the cause. |

thatsincerechic: TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN
Now I am tired... Just as many of you have taken your time to read this story so have i taken my time in writing it. I cannot please you... I am not writing this story to satisfy your sexual urge(this is to those that are only concerned about Bleep) I started out with a good intention of narrating my story to many out there who are going through what I went.. I wanted them to learn from this. Now to those who want a summary, this is a story, stories are usually long narratives. Pls have it in mind that as I post comments I also see comments on this thread.. Majority of which are of obscene thoughts and it's a big distraction to me... Now do this Imagine you were with friends, or should I say students whatever setting you wanted, and you were telling your story and some are throwing one or two sentence which is totally out of order, not what you have in mind because it is not what you experienced. Now how would you feel To those that say I was running out of lies because I haven't mentioned the part where I had sex, pls bridle your tongue because You can not tell my story for me. And to those who say they are bored with the story, just as you are bored, I am also bored because I was no longer seeing reasonable comments as I progressed and i am pretty sure that majority of those that tarried along up till this point are those that are eager to read and enjoy the sex scene. Well, I am sorry to disappoint you, I didn't start my story to ENTERTAIN but rather to ENLIGHTEN you on what is going on in our society. To those saying I was making the stories shorts so i could garner pages, well sorry to say this but I think you are myopic, if you religiously followed from the beginning you would see comments on when I said I was at work. And to the young man, that asked me why I Did not type everything out in a computer and uploaded all once instead, well you see sir, I started this story after a thought came to my mind, I was so motivated that I decided to register as a member on nairaland because I have always been a visitor on nairaland and this is my first topic on nairaland. I actually thought I could tell it peaceful as it progressed and not to be confused at the long run by many of you who wanted a different story.
Since you are not patient enough to know how I used what i had to get what I wanted.... You would probably never know.
My experiences are my precious moments because they shaped me into what I am today, and I won't have it altered because I want to tell a story on nairaland.
At this junction I drop my pen!
# walks out of t hread******* Hi OP, I have been following the thread and have not commented until now. I totally believe your story and I wish you would continue. And I am not interested in anything about sex at all and I surprised that anyone would care. Your story is a good lesson and I empathise with you. However, I also do empathise with your friends Rita and Andy. It is very normal that they expect you to pay part of the rent (in the case of Rita), or get something in return (Andy). It was quite a difficult situation for all involved. Try putting yourself in their shoes. |

He should face the consequences for his 'good deeds'. Police is your friend after all but when you see fight or wahala in your area rotate 180degrees and put your legs one in front of another at a double pace..... worry359: He stuck his nose in and went running to the police to tell tales! Now the police hate him as a troublemaker because he has caused trouble for them. The local boys hate him and know who he is, again for telling tales and being a snitch! Snitches get stitches!
I think he will soon be found beaten or killed because he could not keep his mouth shut. He should be booking plane ticket very soon to get out of there while he can still walk. Tawny17: Eya...pele dear next time you wan chuk mouth for police matter make sure you aren't in Nigeria I just can't believe all of you. So assuming that his story is true, you blame the victim and not the police? For his grave crime of reporting a fight? He will be commended in a saner society because no one knows what would have come out of the fight he reported. But of course the mentality of most Nigerians is warped. |

Keneking: This is great. As you can see, the case in hand is not comparable to yours. I can access your work on digital platforms e.g EBSCOHost etc and track the retrieval with doi and so on. However, if you look closely to the publications listed in this thread, it is completely the opposite You are right about that point. But remember that I (purposely) did not comment on your observation about the quality of the journal, but only commented on your observation that there are no foreigners as coauthors. |

Keneking: A combination of foreigners (including Africans) would no doubt shore up the quality of her research ..."internationalization" In what way? What if the experience in the subject of research is concentrated in her institution? Most research publications involves people in the same institution. FYI, I am a researcher and I am not based in Nigeria, and there is no African in all my publications. It is not because I want "internationalization", but because I work with the other coauthors. |

Keneking: Ok..some important notes:
- Why does the references not include DOI? - How come the co-authors are all Nigerians? - The referencing style of the published works are not in line with global standards.
Anway, Igbos' are indeed doing well in all their endeavours Because she lectures and carries out her research in Nigeria? How and why do you expect foreigners in the list of coauthors? |
