Big damage and worst advertisement for our tourism. I feel sad for the family. |
sweetorgasm:By the way Mr. Handsome, I have been on Nairaland for more than 6 yrs and have less then 700 posts. You are here for only about a month and have close to 2500? You should read your books, otherwise you will have to 4ck all your lectures (both male and female) in order to pass your exams. |
sweetorgasm:No sir. I never claimed to be handsome, but I know what handsomeness looks like and you certainly did a good job hiding yours. |
faith551:His fineness is undercover ![]() |
sweetorgasm:I just saw the pic on the your profile. Did you exclude your handsomeness from the profile picture or is your handsomeness undercover ? |
I support PMB over GEJ. But na true say we don enter one chance? |
dre11:LOL, LMAO, ROFL . So ordinary hot water turned him from Kiliwi Nwachukwu to a sissy? |
I am glad to have a reasonable mum who I adore. But a mum who acted as described here doesn't deserve two slaps, she deserves at least double that number. He is a grown man and if she doesn't agree with his choice of wife, then she shouldn't go there. Not that I support violence anyway, and I wouldn't have slapped my mum. But I will totally understand if one did under this circumstance. |
We all know that the cost of governance is too damn high in Nigeria. A comparison of the salary of lawmakers around the world was made in this thread: https://www.nairaland.com/search?q=lawmakers+salary+nigeria+spain+&search=Search Please Nigerians, let us demand from the Buhari administration that the salary and allowances of lawmakers and the executive branch be pegged to a certain factor of the minimum wage. For instance, the president (and lawmakers) cannot earn more than 100x the minimum wage as salary and allowances. This is the only way to clean up this crazy disparity between the salary of politicians and the average Nigerian. Buhari won the presidency largely due to the social media, we can also use this medium effect changes that will benefit the masses. cc: Seun, llalasticlala, moderators. |
Happy to miss you GEJ ![]() |
My signature reads "Ignorance is bliss, corrupt politicians should be hanged, religion is BS". And what your mom is telling you is certainly BS. So you have brought two ladies and your mother rejected them both and without any tangible reason? Frankly, I wouldn't let you marry my relative if your mom has such an influence on you. I love my family (parents and sibling) and will do anything for them. But they understand that they do not have a say on my decision on who to marry (I am married), neither can I decide for them. My wife also understands that she has no influence whatsoever on how I relate with my siblings. Be a man. If she says she see problems at the old age, tell her not to worry about it. You can even joke to her that you do not plan living that long, so you would be dead before the problem starts. But, I repeat, but, do not allow anyone decide for you who to marry on the basis of prayers, dreams, etc. It is your adult life, don't let your mum decide how you live it. |
LondonCool:So you have passed your own judgment as to why the vehicle hasn't been sold, even after I have explained the facts to you? Driving the car around adds mileage to it, and there are risks/money involved with moving an unregistered vehicle. If you buy the vehicle and want it delivered, then that is possible to arrange for a driver. But it cannot be moved to your place of interest just for viewing. If you think that the reason why I haven't sold the car is because it is not taken to whoever wants to see it, then I am happy to leave it for another 5 years. There are people who have indicated interest in Abuja, should I also move it to Abuja? Anyway, thank you for your interest. But if you purchase the vehicle, it will be delivered to you. |
emperorscoon:Called but u don't answer. |
LondonCool:Hi, Thank you for your interest. The vehicles has not been registered or used in Nigeria and of course it is road worthy. Total distance should be less than 200,000km. Sorry, it cannot be delivered to Calabar. The reason it is in Umuahia is because someone asked to see it in PH to buy it for his supermarket. Hi supermarket got robbed and that was the end of the deal. So I have decided that whoever wants to buy should go see it at the location. |
The real question is: "where did they buy/steal that poor baby from?" A pity that a newspaper like the Guardian can promote this crap as true. |
gr8david:Thank you for your suggestion, but I don't like this idea very much. My dad was in the transport business but is against this idea. I (and my brother) gave him the option to to manage our vehicles in a transportation business or to register it with a company and he discouraged us. He said the trouble he went through with his own was not worth it. Drivers always coming up with stories, etc. |
DonX001:Interesting. How does that work? I will more info on this please, because my brother has a complete ambulance which has also been idle. |
Kabikala:Here : https://www.change.org/p/texas-medical-board-investigate-a-dallas-based-cardiologist-dr-adeniran-abraham-ariyo-who-called-for-xenophobic-attack-against-igbos-the-way-foreigners-were-violently-attacked-in-south-africa |
I am not a supporter of Dr. Iweala because I rate the Goodluck Jonathan administration as being very poor. However, what I find really interesting is that all threads and comments supporting the Change.org petition against the xenophobic Dr. Abraham Ariyo was deleted from Nairaland by the moderators. A counter petition supporting him was moved to the front page and this petition against Dr. Okonjo Iweala made it to the front page. Supporting and protecting your tribe while not extending the same treatment to the others? Das weiß der Geier. CC: Seun, lalasti.clala, moderators. |
fem29:Lol. I did not forsake my naija sisters oh. Na condition make crayfish bend ![]() |
gazette:I have mailed u. |
Come this boy, wetin you wan hear? If you love your girlfriend and she loves you, then what other advice are you looking for? O'boy, no even let your mama and papa discourage you if you truly love each other, talk-less of e-warriors here. My only advice for you is to spend a lot of time together before considering marriage. Make sure that you two have dated for a while and spent considerable time together. Inter-cultural/interracial marriage can sometimes be difficult and requires understanding and compromises. |
fem29:Lol. Yes. Born and bred. But I am taken...by a beautiful blonde . |
emalekuo:The white one is currently in Lagos so you can go and see it physically if you want (I can give you my brother's contact but not publicly). The green one is in Umuahia. If you want to arrange viewing, it is possible. |
emperorscoon:Ok. I will get in contact before the end of the week for further discussion. polymathic:Thank you for your suggestion. Unfortunately, I (and my brother) were discouraged from this option. He also send cars and we wanted to start a logistics firm together. But my dad discouraged us from this because of his experience (drivers always tell stories and never paid up). I am open to a higher purchase (on the condition of a substantial initial payment) and a strict agreement that the vehicle is repossessed if payment is missed. All my previous transactions were based on oral agreement on the basis of trust but my trust was always betrayed. |
LONGFELLOW02:Thank you for your comment. Unfortunately, I have decided not to enter any business where I will be paid 'small small'. I just got out of a terrible one. I bought an equipment for someone and his 'small small' payment took 2 yrs. Exchange rate when I sold the equipment was about 160 naira/Euro. By the time I was paid the bulk of the money, it was 225 naira/euro and it nearly got to a police case. I have therefore abandoned such business model. yusuftosho:This has been suggested to me, but frankly, I am afraid of being told stories at the end of each month. |
emmydeep:Thanks for your comment. I did not imply that you needed my help. However, I cannot call people without ascertaining that the advice I receive will be useful for me in the end. I already have offers which I have rejected. I am not desperate. |
enet1:As I already replied to the first person to comment, write me about your ideas. I will call you if I like it. |
emmydeep:Write and tell me about your ideas. If I like it, I will call you. |
kennyman20:Thanks. I don't want to derail the original thread, so I have moved my post (https://www.nairaland.com/2326166/what-vehicles). That one cost N2.2. |
I shipped some vehicles to Nigeria for close to 2 years and they haven't been sold. Any suggestions what business I can start with these? I don't live in naija and I don't trust giving it out to drivers.

FTC . Let me celebrate like others always do even though I still don't understand the benefit of being the FTC.Modified: 100k is small to start a business IMO. House rent, salary, business materials, etc. Definitely not enough. If the money were more, I would have suggested that you start a photocopying business (especially if you stay close to a uni) and have a staff (u can always track how many pages are copied). Abeg make una also advice me: https://www.nairaland.com/2326166/what-vehicles |
