By the way, Mr Gbenga, when you say Golf 3 is a no-go area for now, does this mean it's not available in coutonou right now? |

We are just here deceiving ourselves. SMH The corrupt and weak GEJ can't even pretend small by visiting National Hospital Abuja for checkup. |

saintjoel: Sir,1999 camry and Golf3 are still in contention for now, people telling you it's cheaper may be into smuggling cos I don't know where they want to get golf3 lesser than what I've given you.
Normal asking price for a golf with automatic transmission and AC is 1.7M cefa with cotonou clearing, multiplying with N373 which is the current exchange rate,it'll give you N634,100 which is even higher than the amount we've been purchasing it. If you even manage to get an accidented one for like 1.3M cefa with cotonou clearing or even manual,it will still be around N484,900 with the current exchange rate.
Now,if you're paying custom duty,if it had been a time we were paying N75,000 as bank charges,N120,000 - N130,000 would have sorted your custom duty by with the 35% increment, the least amount we can pay for duty is N98,200 and with park charges now around around N5,000,you can see why we started charging N140,000 as custom duty.
Unless you want to go into smuggling or decide to buy in Lagos if you can get it cheaper than the quote I've given, cotonou is a no go area for golf3 and 99 camry for now but if people tell you that you can get it cheaper, you can go with them but please don't forget to give us a feedback when you're back from your trip.
There are some cars you can still buy with the increase in exchange rate but certainly not 99 camry and Golf3. Thanks so much for taking time to explain to me. Gbenga for president!!!!!! |

Summer1: I dont know how you guys see it..but I admire guys who speak pure, polished and neat English.. It's a turn on for me,when I see someone with an impeccable eloquence, that minute i don't even care if you are broke or ugly..I just respect them. But for guys with bad eloquence, I'm not trying to insult or intimidate you, you could always brush up your English, I want guys to know that good eloquence, fluent usage of English is a huge turn on for girls especially the brilliant ones, or so I think... So,what's ur take on it? Too many commas. Use full stop sometimes. |

ojosegun2011: My most tideous journey was sometimes around August 2007 when Armed robbers blocked Lokoja -Okene Road on my way to Abuja and we all scampered for safety and Ilied down on top of a python that had swallowed a ram with two big horns. About four other passengers were hiding behind a rock resting on a log of wood unknown to us that it was a python until our weights was disturbing it and it flung us like sticks and rabbled round the whole cliff. The robbers that were chasing us eventually ran together for safety with us back to the main road on sighting the massive reptile which was moving towards a nearby river with two visible horns in its mouth. Two female passengers on sighting the python eventually fainted and were carried back to the road. That was my most harrowing travelling experience ever. The robbers ran away and we later discovered that they were robbing with only one real gone with few bullets and many toy guns and ordinary woods carved and painted like guns. They escaped into the nearby bush and disappeared. OH MY GOD!!! I read this out loud at my office and we had a good laugh. The robbers running away with you guys is funny as hell!! |

I'm kinda new to the dating game, but one thing has always piqued my curiosity.
I know men generally have some level of responsibility, especially when they start working.
For some, it involves sending money home to their mum or sister in school every month or so. Now, some guys can send 10k to their struggling mothers in a month after complaining about economy blah blah...but are able to take a girl they just met out/ go shopping/give her money...and generally spend in the realm of 50k in a blink!
How do you guys rationalize this? Don't you feel guilty? Is that the way things should be done? Should your mom take second place to your passions? I am genuinely curious |

Well, i guess we all have our different reasons, i have small responsibilities, but i am willing to half my savings o get a small car to make life easier/more profitable. I work in the creative industry, so 'packaging' is kinda important...you never know when you will meet your personal big break. I have to be able to put a price on my work that is backed up by some level of affluence/packaging. I can't be billing clients 80k for a design when they saw me coming down from bus I am an introvert..and almost antisocial because i don't like entering bus with all its attendant noise and shakara. If getting a small Kia Picanto will make my life easier and perhaps help me keep important appointments...so be it o! I can't rationalize buying car by calculating transport costs and whatnot. In-fact, transport to my working place costs me 2.5k per month...so my car will only be for weekend movements and perhaps road trips. I am currently learning how to drive. I do believe opportunities will come that will make the car more than worth it |

jasper83: This my piece of advice is to all, that we should always differentiate between a need and a want. Though is not a bad thing to wanna have a ride, infact it shouldn't be a luxury if all things are equal. I closely observed from experience that it is we the children of average/below average homes things like this freak alot. Imagine a child whose dad n mum owns a car and throughout cradle to early childhood to primary to secondary and tertiary he was privilege to be chauffeur driven or play around dad n mum's car, hurriedly owning a car wouldn't be a freak.
I remember my days in Unilag, whenever a yahoo guy hits money the first thing on their mind is owning a car and an intimidating one at that, and eventually wen water don pass garri they sell off at a ridiculous price and a back to square one. So why the rush in life, and moreover the societal expectations around you will rise. Pple will think u don arrive, turning you into a money lender, and if u dnt measure up na wahala be dat. Av aa re think and safe ur head for now.
My personal experience now, I'm 33 yrs and I earn 110k, my wife is a serving corp member and my son is just 3months. I started working like 2 yrs now afta service. Though I am nt regretting because give or take i dey progress in life gradually but I Neva knew family life in Naija is quite challenging. My house rent alone a mini flat around ikeja is 200k, my baby alone takes 20k monthly(baby food+diaper). Talkless for our own feeding and other utilities, and family expenses.
Initially I tot I was earning good until bukata(responsibilities wan tear ma pocket) lol. My wife and i are seriously thinking of how to generate more sources for the family in other to be balanced financially, wen I was I like u I could Av generated another way, salary walahi no be am.
Back to the OP, infact I they envy you. This is the best time of ur life to triple ur income and be financially independent because the economy of this country is uncertain, God forbids, job loss nko. Try and establish yourself now, family pple will never tell u all this unless u bcom one. Pls forgive me for my epistle, save for the raining day and make ur hay while the sun shine. #Wisdom.... I am confused. So the OP should not buy car because responsibilities may soon come? I honestly don't understand the point. |

Hello my people, I am in the market for a new single door fridge. As a tech guy who loves to read, i have researched the thing to no end. I want a 50 - 60k fridge is amazing chilling power. I looooooove cooking, and NEPA and my small scanfrost has showed my raw chicken, fried rice and fish pepper. Sometimes food starts to defrost two hours after NEPA has struck So in your experience (especially you ladies), which refrigerator brand is the 'chillest'? Thanks for the comments. Attached is the pic of the fridge i am considering

chillex8: Go to a proper driving school first. You have no business owning a drivers license without knowledge of driving skills.. It's called a DRIVER's LICENSE. If, you need a national ID card, apply for one.. So what happens at the FRSC office? They give an actual exam or what? DO driving schools teach Theory too? |

I am thinking of getting my first car soon. How does one going about getting a driver's license? At what cost? Note that I cannot drive yet, and I heard there is usually a test or something like that? Does this mean I have to enroll in a driving school first before I get a car?
Thank you for your suggestions. |
