Crime › What Does It Mean To Be Granted 'bail'? by deathwing(op): 8:57am On Aug 12, 2015
I have always wanted to know if Bail money is actually given to the federal government as one of her dues.

I have always heard that Bail is free...but is it really? Is the money given to the police ever returned if a certain condition is fulfilled?

Basically, I want to be educated on this whole Bail issue as it concerns the Nigerian justice system. Anyone?
Car Talk › Minimum Battery Capacity For Golf 3 by deathwing(op): 9:30am On Aug 03, 2015
Hello,

Can anyone help with the minimum battery capacity for Golf 3 (1.6L). Car didn't start yesterday after a night of being parked, and a battery guy checked and told me the battery was bad and advised a new one. The new one I just put in is 60amps...and the car is still not starting. Any ideas?

Could the battery capacity be the issue?

Congrats! I would also be getting d manual also. U went wit d dealer to Cotonou? Why did u get d one with a golf 4 engine? Does it have chilling AC? A dealer in nairaland said I would get it for 500k. Can u paste a pix of d ride? Thanks.
The cars didn't come with AC gas. I have to fill it up. Costs about 1500 or so. But the wiring for the AC is in perfect condition.
Already attached a pix in my previous post, kindly refresh.
I was skeptical about the 1.6, but then I found out (through the VIN) the golf was made in 1997 and that the engine was used in some golf 4s of the time.

Yup, I went with an agent.

I went for a meeting last week with my partner and he insisted we rode in a convoy to meet the client. I wanted to save fuel by parking at his place and rolling with him but we ended up rolling seperately in convoy.

When we were leaving the meeting and we both remotely opened our cars from afar and both cars answered in unison, the client that was unco-operative suddenly laughed and became friendly....... he was like '' no wonder we refused to reduce our fee''....... and he invited us to hang out with him this weekend.

In Nigeria, people are very class conscious and a car apart from being convenient also makes people accept and listen to you better.

It's shallow but it's the Nigerian way.
Wow. fascinating.

Don't repel prosperity and good life by questioning rationale behind being prosperous.

Owing a vehicle is prosperity in action, because its a change of level. Whether the person chooses to be grateful for the prosperity that's coming to him/her to attract more good life or not is left for him/her. Prosperity constantly flows in ones life when he or she wishes it to him/herself and appreciate them as they come and not analyze , repel or become ungrateful when Universe or God brings them to their attention.

Having a vehicle is a good life. If you see it as one, it becomes one to you. If you see a vehicle as a liability, it becomes your reality as well, that is, a liability. What you wished for or your interpretation of good life are your prayers, because what you give out is what you receive back. Seeing a vehicle as liability will draw more circumstances that will make you struggle and spend all you have to keep the car on the road, while one that appreciates and see it as good life will continue to get more circumstances that will bring in more and continue been elevated financially and others. That's why some struggle to have and keep only 1 car on the road, while some keep getting more and more vehicles as more good life flows into their lives.

What you interpret a vehicle as becomes your reality, because that's your prayer or wish.

I'd also like the golf 3 painted like this (notice the bumper). I love your jobs, but I'd like an estimate of what this would cost. Thanks

Anoda side of dis is weda his income can carry it. Eg a man who earns 70k,does it make sense he buys a car?
That's not an issue. There is a car for every segment. It's not 'by force' to buy corolla or bmw before you drive.

I am asking about the necessity of a car.
Car Talk › Is A Car A Necessity? by deathwing(op):
What exactly is the rationale behind owning an automobile?

Should I own a car because I am an adult who should have a dependable means of transportation, or should my wealth/bank balance determine my car ownership? The issue here isn't a cost of maintenance, because there is a car for every segment.

What do you guys think? I am tired of the bus life, even though I reside in a well connected part of the city. I almost never go out if not to work. Despite this, I feel like having a car to call upon at any point of the day or night MIGHT be a good idea, regardless of the cost.

In fact, I feel like having a car and being able to reach places in short notice may change the way I relate with other people, because at this point...I do not engage in any form of socialising sad

It's just a feeling tho. Or maybe I'm psyching myself into getting one before I'm 'spiritually ready' grin grin grin

Oga Gbenga...we are loyal.

I am the one who asked about a golf 3 to which you gave a detailed response touching on points like exchange rate and increased pricing for the vehicle.

I want to know if the exchange rate has stabilized now, because i am hoping to come to cotonou and meet you by June. My max budget, including customs, for a good golf 3 is 620k. Is that amount feasible as of right now? Thanks.

PS: It's Manual transmission i want. A good grade of golf 3.

(MODIFIED)

Also, Is the cotonou customs duty in the asking price of the golf?

I think you just like attention. Please research these nonsense you write. An Entry level salary is about 180k on the average. It's above 210k for some popular banks, actually.

Car Talk › Re: Planning On My First Car.... Golf 4? by deathwing(op): 3:25pm On May 18, 2015
Mr Gazzuz can you kindly be clear on what you mentioned before?

I know everyone keeps saying things about electrical cars, but is the issue the money to repair them or the difficulty involved in finding good mechanics? Aren't there things i should do to the golf 4 in order not to fall prey to damages and whatnot?

When you say it won't take abuse, what does it mean? I am currently learning how to drive, so are you talking about handling? I don't intend to race it through the streets at night o cheesy

The truth is, i think it's a really pretty car. I am in the creative industry, and to tell the truth, beauty comes before function for me most times. I have never had a car...so I can't say I am looking for some engine spec or whatnot because I don't understand those things, just as far as the thing moves around when i want it to, and can be maintained without breaking a leg.

That's why i want to be clear of the danger of owning a golf 4.

Thanks

GAZZUZZ:
Golf 4 is a good car. But unfortunately very very very fragile electrically and will not take abuse at all.
For a first car avoid it.
