The gear doesn't affect the speed or anything. Honestly, the car is a dream to drive. Mostly smooth, bit sometimes when I get too enthusiastic when speeding, it doesn't change so smoothly. Hehe.

skillip:
Op, if you are in Lagos just go to iyana-Itire and you will have a first hand knowledge before you go with your mechanic. You can also do what they call "counter balance". You sell your old gearbox and add some money to the one you want to buy. besides what exactly is wrong with it?
The former owners mechanic poured wrong gear oil in it. So now the switching isn't so smooth after a long while spent driving. I know I still have to change the gear, but I was looking for a second opinion as per the cost and every.

It's an auto car. I can manage it if I want (the owner repaired it and managed it for almost a year), but I feel like I'd have to change it soon. Too embarrassing, the knocking sound it sometimes makes when the shifting isn't smooth.

Hello guys,

There I'm looking to change my VW passat gearbox because of some issues. Does anyone have an idea how much it'd cost me and a good place to do it? It's a 2009 TSI.

Thanks.

If you've ever been to Imo. youll know there is always something substandard about everything Rochas builds.

It's like he's just building in order to gather acclaim. His bridges begin to crumble and flake off within months, the roads develop potholes quickly, the government centres he builds are of low quality and this nigga has a problem of flooring the compound of his structures.
He just prefers to leave them as earth. So you'll see a new structure in imo state already in use, but it's surrounded by grass because nothing was paved or cemented outside. Imo state just looks like an old town even while new things are still being built. Disheartening. The next government will rebuild and regain another round of applause.

So you moved into official premises without knowing your salary. Yimu. Story. Go and find children to lie to.

sgtponzihater:
I received the worst humiliation of my life today. Let me go a little back in time. There's this organisation who's name has gained so much acclaim that I thought those working there are swimming in money.

A friend gave me a privileged info that they are recruiting. I thanked him dearly and thought I had hit jackpot. Next days I polished my shoes kissed my kid on the forehead and headed for the company with my CV and carefully crafted cover letter. Few weeks later I was called for an interview and I did justice to the interview and impressed the interviewers. I was told I would be selected but that I had to resume month ending however I can move into a mini flat within the company premises because the work will require some days of night working.

I was happy at least my people we see daddy as scarce. I packed some of my things and started enjoying my new cribs. Few days to the end of the month I decided to ask the HR how much my pay would be and he told me 80k. I immediately felt like crying. 80k can't possibly sustain me, my wife, my kid and my galfriend. I told him outrightly that it was too small. He then said he will ask his boss so he can add something then he will get back to me tomorrow.

My question is how do I reject this job that I already accepted with a firm hand shake. And how do I suddenly park my bag and baggages out of the premises. I am so confused.

Your boy

Career › What % Of Your Salary Pays Your Rent? by deathwing(op): 3:40pm On Mar 28, 2017
Hello guys,

I'd like to know what percentage of your salary is used to finance your annual rent. Is the accommodation standard to your liking?

I know its not a one-size-fits-all thing, but I'd like to get the generally feeling on this issue.

Thanks!

Palm oil is mostly imported. People who sell these thing also have to buy cars, clothes etc from people who have to import it with a high dollar. If they sell their garri cheaply, how will they be able to afford the new price of other things. Think.

Jammiiee:
Funny enough commodities that have no link with the dollar also skyrocketed . Common Garri, even palmoil which is local is more xpensive than G/oil

You are a fool if you think it is ever ok to beat up and make a woman bleed. If she slept with his friend in his presence, divorce courts are not lacking. If she stole his money, police stations are never far away. Would he do this if it was a Kemen from Big Brother who annoyed him? Men always showing power with defenseless women.

If you are weak when you are in love, I suggest you find other things to do with your immaturity.

Eddygourdo:
As usual women and victim tales, they have started again. Just see the description of the violence your husband meted on you. Yet you expect us to believe he is an animal who blew his top like that. Do people blow their top to tthe point of daring murder without and reason ? I very much doubt that.

This is the problem with loving the wrong person. When one is in love he is weak, and slight hurts appear too painful to bear, utter betrayal by these cheating and deceptive 21st century nigerian women , makes one think of murder thanks to utter shock of it all.

How easy is it to gently seek a divorce when blind sided by the sudden realization of the betrayal or crimes of someone you loved. Nevertheless its a better path to choose without violence. Not because the scum doesn't deserve to be dealt with as your mind tells you, but because you need freedom (not going to jail) to enaable you find a berra mate and move on with ya life. Thus I say no to violence.

Woman, stop with the victim tales, confess what you did wrong even though u denying it cos the man likely has no concrete evidence. Marry not a woman you love, but strictly a woman whose loyalty you can vouch for completely. Nobody attacks another without reason as we have observed, mad people don't even do that often.
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: This Is What I Wore To Interview Today. by deathwing(m): 3:09pm On Feb 28, 2017
I work in a big and very valuable organisation. I attended my job interview in native wear. I looked so hot that my interviewer took my tailor's phone number. You may not get away with it for a bank job, but I have never attended a serious interview in English clothes. I don't have a good frame for suit, but i dazzle in native.

If you're confident, you can do whatever the hell you want and get away with it.

Car Talk › Re: What's Your Experience With The '06 - '08 Golf 5, Passat Or Jetta? by deathwing(op): 12:54pm On Dec 05, 2016
Yh, I'll have whatever car i want to buy scanned by a professional. My grouse is with the choice of car. My eyes is on the Passat and Golf 5. I think they're quite elegant cars (Though i rarely see the Golf 5 around, I wonder why). I'll prolly go mto a dealer and take them for a test drive. Just wanted to know others' experience with them. Anyone of them is fine by me. I don't go out much, so my car almost always has just me inside. I don't even drive to work everyday becaue my office is now very close and it's cheaper to go by bus, but I'll have a great deal on whichever of the cars i choose, hence my asking for imput especially as regards fuel economy.

Thanks

nurey:
i would advice first dont go close to a Nigerian used one except you have a GOOD, TRUSTWORTHY, GOD FEARING mechanic to give and carry out a professional checkup on the said car.

but if you like a car, even if an M16 was placed on your head not to pick the car, you will still pick it. follow your heart, its more important than anybodys opinion

Car Talk › What's Your Experience With The '06 - '08 Golf 5, Passat Or Jetta? by deathwing(op): 11:06am On Dec 02, 2016
I'm currently considering A 2007 Passat, Jetta or Golf 5. But unfortunately, I don't have first-hand info on the respective fuel economies and maintenance cost. I think they are well designed cars (except for the Jetta. That stuff makes me frown sad ) so I'm tryna settle on one before the end of the year.

Any experience or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Car Talk › Re: Pros And Cons Of Mercedes C230 And C240 by deathwing(m): 6:22pm On Oct 09, 2016
Thinking of getting an MB that balances the line between fuel economy (145 naira is not a joking matter), reliability and design. Been going through the MB threads without making much sense of the many naming conventions. I think this thread makes it a little easier to understand

I'm sure the performance in any W203 would blow my current Golf 3 out of the water, so I'm not overly concerned on that score. I think i'll focus on the c180 2001 -2002 models.

Are there any particular faults/surprising maintenance costs they're associated with?

Thanks
