lawyerintransit: All the nba asked for was proof of payment of dues and practicing fee and letter of recommendation from a senior and respected lawyer. All this extra just sounds hectic. When I posted mine i used the NBA office as the sender's name and address. Hectic is the word o because I’m stressed out I can’t even think about it straight. They just started this whole new system now because they issued letter to counterfeit lawyers in the past without due verification so everything must pass through law school now confirming your status before Supreme Court will write. |

lawyerintransit: I did mine October last year. It took about a week to get it back. I didn't pay for mine but I hear people say it costs about 5-10k to get it done. Which is far less than Supreme Court's price considering I had to post it myself. The latest requirement now is that you need a letter of introduction from the Secretary to the council of legal education to the Supreme Court which is 5k paid via remita then apply with call to bar , qualifying and undergraduate certificates , letter of application etc. The thing weak me too when I hear o because everyone I know got theirs without troubles but they’ve stiffened the process now. Did you send yours to NCA? NCA is saying the issuing body should be the one to post to them not the individual so I’ll have to use Supreme courts courier |

Neam9: Ohh so it means I've to process it before leaving naija? It’s better to do the process when you’re on ground not when you leave and anyone you send starts to take advantage or wasting your time unnecessarily. It can be done anytime but I’ve started mine now and what I have outstanding is this letter of good standing from SC |

MamaHeaven: Good evening guys, please how can one get wes to send verification request to school via courier? Please assist as the school never got mail verification request sent by wes. This is what most schools say until you land there yourself , another thing that worked for my cousin was she went to school and got the official email of the school and called wes to tell them this is where they should send it to , apparently she discovered Wes had been sending the verification to the school but not the department concerned with the verification so they kept saying they didn’t see anything from WES. If you can get the contact of the person that handles verification in your school it’ll make things easier too. |

lawyerintransit: Save yourself the hassle and just apply from your local NBA branch. It was much easier for me. Please was your application recent ? If it was then I’m off to my NBA branch. Because the requirements I’m seeing now is giving me headache meanwhile some people got theirs a few years ago without much ado |

Chidimmamj: Hello everyone, please I am a bit disturbed about something. I am claiming points for my NYSC work experience, my PPA gave me a reference letter showing duration of work, work hours per week (32), annual salary and all the information required in a reference letter, but they mentioned NYSC and even added my NYSC call up number, they have refused to remove NYSC from the letter. I am presently scared because I heard of 1 rejection case here, I want to clarify if it was because of the NYSC written on the person's ref letter or something else. Do you advise I use the letter like that? I think it’s 30 hours work per week that’s the minimum standard, also Nysc was full time and paid employment so it’s inconsequential if Nysc was written on it or not according to knowledge gathered here. |

ayandee: You are welcome. For legal opinion you can put that under that 4th point. Just add "This includes providing legal opinion on sundry legal issues as required."
The offer letter can come under the 4th point. Just add offer letters after mou.
Secretary during bid meetings should come last as it's not one of the duties listed in the noc requirements
Please ensure you retain these keywords "Representing, Advising, Drafting, Legal research, Negotiating, legal opinion". They want to see them in your letter You’re a darling , God bless you. |

aye88: Awwwwww. Yes oooo. Nice to connect with you here. I didn't know i would need this PR thing, would have done it since before the 30's age. I don't have a sibling in canada only a cousin Husband is writing ielts too and still our score isn't up to the 470s. Infact i tire. And i was advised when this canada thing started to try it o, i was forming. Its well. Lets hope the scores reduces sha. Hopefully it will reduce , it has been reducing so let’s hope it keeps reducing. If you can learn French And take the exams that’ll be an advantage too. I’ll say get in the pool once your eca & IELTS on both sides are in , so at least if points go lower than 470 you’re selected. |

ayandee: i am an in-house lawyer in a federal agency. I used 4112. Ensuring correct legal content of documents. This includes drafting and review of agreements/MOUs between my organization and third parties - Representung the agency in court and ensuring diligent prosecution of all legal suits affecting the agency -Negotiating out-of-court settlements to reduce litigation costs -Advisingthe agency's Management on the application of laws, public service rules and régulations -Attending to the agency's correspondences on legal matters. -conducting legal research to détermine appropriate course of action in legal matters.
You will notice i captured most of the keywords mentioned in requirements for noc 4112 and it worked. Thank you very much for this input , I’ll tweak and add other things I do like legal opinion, offer letter reviews , Secretary during bid meetings etc |

Please a quick one for lawyers who aren’t into litigation and work with State or federal government agencies , what NOC suits the job description the most because 4112 or so doesn’t suit my job description as I don’t work in a firm and neither do I take on those responsibilities listed. I work in The capacity of an in house lawyer but I’ve not come across any NOC that fits My job description up to 70 percent or even 80 percent at all , I’ve tried to use all sorts of words in the search box |

I’m using IQAS for mine though and there’s a space for that and I used WES for spouse I’m unsure but I think there’s a space for that of which there ought to be because people change names or maybe you contact them directly. |

Hubby masters too. Is our PR dream over? I remember you from the birthing thread Where I was a silent reader , nice to see you here again. Do you have a sibling in Canada ? Oh wow! This stunt right here is quite amazing though, considering the fact that you posted the comment below on the 11th of September asking the house about which NOC best suits you, a question you repeated the following day which was on the 12th.. So it's PPR already, even "when security had not been started"!!!
