blummey: Thanks, but need a contact mail for wes, i used the cintact form on their website but they have not responded. It's more than 3 weeks now. I don’t know much about WES it’s IQAS I’m using but you can either call them(be ready for a long wait) , send them a message or a mention on Twitter(I’ve come across this option on here) , download their app from the App Store and use the contact option there. If you have a friend or relative in Canada, you can tell them to help you call. |

ednut1: they evaluate law school as diploma. So its two or more degrees with wes. I don't know the matter with WES. The other bodies dont want to give them a run for their money. A whole law school as diploma, Hian this is an insult to the council of legal education o because even CLE regards it as post graduate then wes is now “de-repping” Us anyhow. |

Mamaroon: WES vs IQAS for Lawyers
Disclaimer: this is not to say lawyers should not use IQAS, I'm just looking for intellectual banter this fine Saturday afternoon .....with no party to attend!
Statement in bold 100% correct....HOWEVER I would assume VOs are bound by the information available to applicants on the Canadian Government websites.
And one of those sites clearly states that a BACHELOR OF LAWS is equivalent to a professional degree, not in general terms but in terms of reading the assessment from the ECA and CRS points awarded. See screenshot and link.
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/documents/education-assessed/read-report.html
Do VOs make mistakes? Of course, but I have never seen a judicial review case on this issue....so is it that Lawyers are no longer learned ( they are not reading up and are not aware of what IRCC says about ECAs marked as Bachelor of Laws) or wahala is no longer their work (they are not taking IRCC up on its VOs' errors) or these rejection applications are getting reopened? Or maybe WES says normal Bachelor instead of Bachelor of Laws?
If the info on canada.ca and cic.gc.ca cannot be relied on, then what are we all doing here? In general, we pray that VOs do not make errors on our apps but were it to happen because of an ECA, POF, NOC or other issue, we shouldn't just fold our hands...after all the time and money spent!!
#RamblingsOfAnApplicant I think WES wants us to add our law school transcript to undergraduate before they can regard it as a professional degree. Just my thoughts , also lawyers are tired , this journey requires a lot of resilience and patience they’ll rather just use the body that does the needful than stress with WES. |

lawyerintransit: It's like it all depends on your school directly verifying your results and transcripts. Everything sped up after they got the email. Ordinary to sign transcript, wahala tie wrapper for them, now if I tell them to send verification email with this their NASU strike I’m sure they’ll hiss but All the same it won’t hurt to try I’ll write an email to them asking them to send pdf and also verify. |

Naaomi: They acknowledged mine on Monday; after over 3 weeks. Just give them some more time. You can also follow up with a mail. Last time I sent a mail they said they were opening packages from the week of 31st August. It will be 3 weeks on Tuesday since my transcript arrived their office, so I’ll allow some more time Before I bombard them again. I think they’re only fast with soft copies sent directly from the school or an accredited third party. |

lawyerintransit: IQAS has finally vomitted my report lol. Had to request my university to send them an email with a pdf copy of my transcript Thank God o. They’ve still not acknowledged my package o till date since the 22nd. I can’t even get my school to send pdf copy to them because what I’m hearing now is NASU strike. |

spade225: Am curious, how did you get 6years experience at 25, with an undergraduate degree. Very possible , I have cousins who graduated at Age 19 From private universities here in Nigeria by 20 they were done with NYSC which is already one year of work experience o and they got placements immediately after their Nysc. I even have classmates who were called at the age of 20 / 21 Meaning they’ve done 5 years uni and one year law school |

Akwaugo123: Mine took about a month. 25th Aug-24th September. I sent electronically and also had my school send the hard copy( total waste of money). Yes you mentioned that , you’re lucky. They’re claiming they don’t accept electronically. Please how did you go about yours ? Let me see if I can send electronically . |

Please can anyone who has used IQAS recently help with their timeline, me I’m stuck with them but I want to know if I should use them for my husband or not . I guess they’re back to being slow . Since my transcript got to them on the 22nd September I haven’t gotten an acknowledgement and I contacted them they responded and said they’re just opening packages from the week of 31st August. I guess IQAS is only fast if you transmit your transcripts electronically but this ETX ng people have bad reviews from what I’ve read online I can’t think of using them |

sirculynz: Hello house;
I was denied UK visit Visa last year cos they needed more info about my work, I applied back immediately with the infos and they gave me. Do I need to indicate that in my PR application or just write no that I have not been denied before. Kindly advise, thank you. The Uk embassy stamps their denials behind passports and it’s obvious, asides that they do background checks. Whether or not you were granted almost immediately after the denial is immaterial they just want to know if you’ve been denied so just declare it. |

nekkyblues: Good morning house
Has anyone done evaluation with ICES? How long did it take for them to evaluate your documents?
Their website shows 16 weeks which is approximately 4 months from now, and that’s a very long time because I want to be in the pool this year.
Still trying to process my transcript from my school.
Your feedback will be appreciated, thanks. I saw a Blog post on people complaining about ICES yesterday, some said they’ve been stuck since July and since time is of essence to you I think you should use WES because even IQAS is beginning to get slow again since my transcript arrived their office I haven’t gotten acknowledgment that it has been received. |

Thanks for checking, Now to hurry and submit cos this profile expires on the 30th of October.
God dey I read on this thread that ITA locks the profile so you don’t need to worry about it’s expiration, but ITA doesn’t lock IELTS result |

Olamiikunle: Good evening house. I maxed out Ielts back in june, 2020. I am in the pool currently with CRS at 460 due to age 32years. I used ND and HND. With the scores not likely getting lower anytime soon, please is it possible to be in the Pool and also apply to student visa and admission process? If you don’t mind you can take one of those certificate courses that has been and will still be discussed extensively here to help your scores go up. Student visa means paying international student fees which is pretty high. You can weigh all your options though. |

Akwaugo123: I was amazed at the speed but generally i think they are faster. Hope your file number is on the package. It's one of the reasons for delay. All the best. That paper they said must accompany the package is inside the envelope And it contains the file number and all , but I don’t think my school put the file number on the envelope , it was just the address. As for IQAS being fast , they just started Bring fast , they have a track record for delay pre-COVID-19 |

Akwaugo123: A day after it was delivered. My status changed "in line for processing" immediately. This was on the 25th of August. I got my certificate yesterday. They are really fast now all things remaining equal. That was very very fast , just one month In all. Mine was delivered on Tuesday and I equally uploaded my student copy transcript on my profile but the status still says pending. |
