Download the multi language ROM from XIAOMI.EU

That will remove all the Chinese in the phone and Google play will be the default store

I got a techno phone same day with my colleague, in 2months mine crashed

I took it to Carl care and guess what, they couldn't repair or replace it!

To make matters worse, my colleague s phone should also, and their customer care was so annoying that he angrily left the phone their

I add to go back to my Lenovo, I bought as far back as 2012 ( I've never had an issue with the phone, I just felt like upgrading)

I've used a Meizu and recently a Xiaomi afterwards

Guess what, I've NEVER had any issue

Until they resolve repair issues, the presence of their service center in Nigeria is useless!

Fyi: Xiaomi is planning to enter the African market by 2016

How's the plastic on the back of.the device? Like the one you find on Lumia phones or glossy(shiny) plastic as you find in Samsung phones?

Not as wacky as the one on cheap Lymua devices, it has a very smooth feel, it can't easily slip from your hand though and its not ain't like the one in Samsung devices, it's just on its own

The shiny back in the picture is the silicon casing I used, which is very very affordable

You can actually change the color of the plastic at the back at a very very cheap price too!

I just ordered for a gold casing and a blue and pink plastic back!

I was initially on the stock ROM, released by MIUI.com n their forum and the battery was wacky and to many Chinese, as soon as aieromon posted the link for the multi language ROM, I changed mine ( thanks to glo, I d able to do it in 2 hours!)

After downloading the multi language ROM, the battery improved greatly

Secondly it is common knowledge that some people don't want to hear the word 'flash'

Well, FYI, I did didn't flash or root my phone to download the multi language ROM

I just used the updater app on the phone, by tapping the the dots above it (...), and choose the file I've already renamed as directed

For people who are sceptic, this phone is very great, especially it's speed

The in built browser ( baidu) is way faster than Uc Browser and opera combined. ( I have both browsers, but I don't use them now)

The picture quality is way better than its specs (better than Meizu's M2 note, which have same spec with it)

Is it the themes or the baidu music player, where you can easily stream and download western songs without going through the browser? By now I think I've listen to almost all the songs one direction would have sang as I continuously stream their songs,
The beauty of it is that you can see the lyrics and sing along with them. Who can beat that on a stock/in built music player?

I've been as astute Meizu fan apart from a few features ,(that are negligible) Redmi is great

I would recommend it for any one

Fyi, Google ' compare Redmi note 2 and Samsung Galaxy s5' and you would never advise any one to buy s5 again!

Forget about the clocked speed, MT6795 Helio X10 is of three different versions, Xiaomi redmi note 2 is probably using the cheaper version that smokes battery like chimney.
In other hand Meizu m2 note with its 1.3ghz processor couple with IGZO capacitive screen is crispy and battery friendly, hence the 9.5 it scored on Phonearena battery test.
An average user will not even notice the speed difference on the both devices.

Just search for Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 on NL, look for a trusted seller and deal through him, if you so desire

The home screen is like every typical home screen for Android 5, the absence of a special drawer for apps is very noticeable.

As with all Android 5 phones, the apps are arranged on the home screen

New downloaded apps just flow to the next screen

In addition, you can arrange all your desired app in one folder

In this case apps like calculator, mail, calendar, clock etc has been pre-arranged under tools (see pictures)

You can expand and rearrange as you so desire

The phone is very slim and the white back is not bad at all

Unlike Meizu M2 note, its not unibody as the battery is removable

The phone comes in a compact renewable pack, with only charger and manual (in Chinese). I got a screen protector courtesy of my supplier, however I didn't use it as i already have a Tempered glass for it!

The only difference is that the China version supports only 3G bands peculiar to China alone

While the International version supports the regular WCDMA 2100 and other 3G bands

The China version is cheaper by almost USD30


However claim that the China version actually supports International 3G bands, they have even attached screen shots to confirm their postulation

In as much as the Chinese version is cheaper and purportedly supports International 3G bands, I would advise anyone going for the phone to go for the TDD/LTE version

BTW: Both sims as well as both version support 4G

The Anambra state police command has arrested one Uchenna Okoye for pouring hot oil on his wife Njideka (pictured above) during an argument at their home. When interrogated, the father of 3 said he got into an argument with his wife after he returned from work last week Tuesday and there was no food for him to eat.

He said he got angry when she told him she'd sent someone to go buy foodstuff for her to make the food as he'd repeatedly warned her not to send people to get their food stuff. As they argued, he poured hot oil on her.

A remorseful Mr Okoye has since pleaded for forgiveness from his wife and the police. He is however still being detained at the Central Police station in Awka, the Anambra state capital.
