yungboss: Good Morning, did you change the battery recently? Batteries have to be coded to the car once replaced or removed. However, locate a module in the spare tyre compartment, plugged somewhere beneath the spare tyre (spare tyre needs to be removed to access). Unplug it and check for corrosion or any kind of water damage. Thanks for your response. I have however tried to check for the module even as seen on YouTube, I can't find it there o. Maybe they already disabled it. Though tyre pressure works fine whenever pressure is low. |

drakeskull: You can post the issues on the BMW thread to get more insights. Forget the head not coded correctly. It doesn't affect anything. It usually occurs when the iDrive screen is replaced and not programmed as it should be.
You're having a parasitic drain, you need a technician to work on your alternator. I have experienced such on my e60 back in the days and a technician fixed it for me in Ibadan. He's around Idi ape side but I don't have his contact at the moment but can get it later today. But post on the BMW thread to get more information https://www.nairaland.com/993645/bmw-owners-forum

Hi nairalanders,
I bought my BMW 525i on this forum but I haven't been enjoying that car as I expected.
Issue is 1. Battery drains and car wouldn't start if left for 24hrs of recent. Now sef I have to drive it in a day to get it started next day. Diagnostic scan picked 4 fault DME...Head not coded correctly appear on dashboard.
2. Full lights doesn't on per say...only one bulb on and fog lights. Mechanics here in Ibadan have proven to be incompetent.
Even considering of sell the car sef cuz I hate stress. Please help. I could share the diagnostic reports with you if you don't mind.
Any assistance on resolving issue, in Ibadan? |
Autos › Re: ASK GAZZUZZ by decatalyst(m): 12:41am On Apr 23, 2020 |
tensazangetsu20: Why would you buy a BMW in a place like ibadan? I am afraid this is a car that you can't own in Nigeria without having DIY skills. The first issue is a parasitic drain. You need a wiring diagram to really solve this and a competent scan tool. As for the headlights, maybe one of the chargers have gone bad. They would have to be inspected.
The E60 aside from the M5 in my experience is really one of the best cars you can own. It's so sad you live in a place with a lot of useless mechanics.
You can get the E60 wiring diagram from all data and you can look up videos on troubleshooting parasitic drain from YouTube. Lemme see the codes gotten from the car. Thank you. The bonded says it all. It's been frustrating. See below

MARX77: Permit me to list out a few things
1. From the beginning of the relationship, you have probably given this girl d mindset that if she leaves u, u r done for.
2. Bro, if u use money take open relationship, ready to dey drop money... So all this your expenses here and there na u cos am. Never use money as a means to hold down a woman, they're always in need, and most of them will go for the highest bidder.
3. I don't know who needs to hear this, except the girl na ur wife, never ever let a lady influence decisions that u know can make your life better. NEVER DO THAT. Make decisions to better ur life, Bleep whatever she thinks.
4. Boss, any girl when dey look for consent to marry you don go already. Forget her...
5. You're lucky you passed your exam, you for know afa
6. I can bet my left ass that your lady has someone already promising her the moon and the stars. SHE'S GONE BRO.
MY ADVICE: Brace yourself, retrace your steps and before she drops the bombshell on you, Break up with her in a very dope way, like stars do, no fight, no insults.
YOUR FUTURE IS BRIGHT MAN, take it from me, ON GOD.
*Drops mic* @Giwoni I think you should read this and follow the advise. Never be a weakling, sucker and apologetic man for love. Let this burden (stop spending...its a parasitic relationship) go and plan to ace your courses. Cheers! |
Crime › Re: Policeman On Bonnet Of Speeding Vehicle Of Lady Who Refused To Stop by decatalyst(m): 4:24pm On Apr 16, 2020 |
Organs: I will now say it clearly. You have no sense. Also, you obviously have not travelled outside Nigeria, so you rely on your foolish myopic brain for all your world and viewpoint. I am talking based on knowledge of what obtains in places outside Nigeria, and things i know for a fact not what i think or my personal opinion. Now listen and get schooled.
1. Here again, youre going on what you think or opinion. A law enforcement officer can detain you for questioning, not necessarily arrest you. In Nigeria, Police officers stop people to ask them questions and you have to stay until they are done. Yes, if they are wasting your time you can ask to leave and that they you can come to them or they to you at a later time. A police office that sees you as a person of interest can detain you and ask you questions anytime.
2. It is not mandatory to wear facemasks in Nigeria. In the USA, only in California and NY is it mandatory to wear facemask as at today. The policeman is not mandated or required to wear facemask. Nigerians are always looking for excuses not to obey or comply with law enforcement. Yes, agreed, law enforcement folks extort and all, but you should at the very least obey them to even substantiate that.
3. Again, we are the ones that never obeys and we are actually hurting ourselves. That same woman, in Dubai, London, USA, Canada, anywhere else, if a police officer stops her, she will wind her windows down before the officer even asks. If she is so concerned, she can use her own mask, which she herself doesn't have, (just some rag covering on her nose) she can politely ask the officer after complying why he is not using a mask that she is concerned. etc. You are on the road driving, a policeman stops you and you refused to wind down because he doesnt have a mask on!!! Imagine that arrogance and attitude!.
4. Yes, he was not supposed to have jumped on her bonnet agreed, however, she refused to wind down and talk to him, she was driving off and not complying and he now jumped on her bonnet. Yes wrong, however, she made it worse by driving off. I swear, i am angry that the man on the bonnet as well as the FRSC officer did not start with a dirty slap to reset her brain. That is why Nigerians are treated as animals. They simply will not obey and everyone wants to prove they are right.
Conclusively, bros, i might not get a thank you for educating you and making a human being out of your animalistic and defiance tendencies, however learn from this and let me know other ways i can help you improve. You communicate well, it's your attitude and your mumu mindset that needs some work. Guess what I didn't bother reading the gibberish you wrote up there cuz what will a goat like you write? Obviously, nah only you sleep face different directions. Pele akuya. If you will excuse me, I have better things to do! Get the eff outta my mention! |
