Without Nigeria the world will still be moving on. Nigeria is just like any other country. Ok picture it this way Without Britian ------ Maybe there won't be anything called Nigeria.Besides Africans and Asians won't have suffered too much. Without China-----maybe there won't too much hazard/fake products in the market. Without USA ------ maybe there won't be too much propaganda. Without Germany ------ maybe a lot of Jews will still know what the love of a father is Without Japan ------- maybe some Chinese will still be living today. And some the list goes on. Any country in this world has their good side and their bad side or something good and bad to offer. Such is life |
The secret of making money through blogging is blogging as a group. For instance, if I am good at software, another person is good at games, another person is good at web designing, etc. If we all come together and run a blog that is mainly discuss about computers, there is no way we cannot succeed. The problem is not only in Nigeria it is everywhere in the world. Believe it or not, getting traffic is not beans. Most of the people that make it through blog don't even have one website. |
I think it all comes down to the quality of content you have on your site, the traffic you and your keyword is among the least or is there another way out. |
bekay911:If you already know you don't look close to fine, why do you ask your boyfriend how you look? Besides, what makes you think that he is lying to you? |
prettyjulie:Lying to your partner doesn't mean you don't love him/her. It means betrayal of TRUST |
Have anyone use any of these two ads program? Which of them is recommended for a publisher and an advertiser. I am thinking of the one to use to advertise our websites. Currently I am having some issues with Adsense/Adwords. |
It all depend on your choice. I like starting from scratch because it gives me the privileged to learn new things. Besides that, I noticed that all the top guns in internet like Google, Paypal, Facebook, Baidu, Yahoo, Ebay, Amazon, etc all coded 90% of their program from scratch without the use of already made frameworks. If you are working i.e a website designer/programmer than you should use frameworks because it will save you a lot of time. But if your goal is to invent something new in the web programming world, then you should always right from scratch. Take a look at Drupal, Joomla, PhpBB, even Simple Machine used by nairaland and many others, the founders all wrote from scratch. |

Africanson:This is one of the best answers here. Is the goal achievable? The answer is YES but will the solution you are trying to use work? The answer is NO First Google is not where they are now because they are redirecting people to different page but rather because they are giving people what people need. Maybe if you tell me that people can go to the moon from click a button on your website, then I will say you can achieve that within a minute. My guy, what you are having is called WET DREAMS. Everyone has one(myself included). I once dreamed of having a plane that can take me from Nigeria to Sydney within 15minutes. Does it make sense? The answer is No. But as a dreamer, I love dreaming. Secondly, your host server will terminate your account before you say Jack Robinson. So my guy, once I can go to the moon from your website, I don't mind helping you in achieving such dream. |
I find it so hard to believe that a lot of users here are jumping to conclusion without taking a closer look at the picture of the chinese man and the mopo. The picture is 100% photoshoped. Watch it over and over again. Why must people try to bring bad influence on others just because they want to create a news. We complain that most western countries have bad image of Nigeria but here we are agreeing to stories that isn't true. |
Can you show us the link of the website you read this news |
Nice idea. If you are within Nigerian, it might be hard. Not that Nigerians don't want to help but cases of fraudulent activities have made some people to be afraid of their own left hand. But that doesn't mean that you should give up hope. Always remember that nothing good comes easy. No matter how difficult it seems to appear, do not give up. That is the main difference between great people and ordinary people. But one of the best way to make people believe in you is by registering your own company. Please do not register the company with your real name. Register the company with a name related to your project. For example Natasha Charity Organisation. Once you register your company, open a bank account with the company's name and open your own website(make sure that the website name is similar to the company's name) and start writing things relate to your project. Include pictures and videos of your work. Have a donation page, in your donation page, include your company's bank account number and ask people to help. Also include your Western Union Money Transfer Receiver's details( this is for international people willing to help) Your website will help you to get international attention. Make sure that you include your company's location, phone contacts and if possible include a live chat application so that anyone interested can chat with you directly. Please make sure that your website looks matured enough. Start holding siminars. Because you are starting, do not pay for seminar center, use churches. For example, each Sunday, go to any Roman Catholic, Anglican Church, Pentecostal Churches, talk with the priests/pastors. Tell them to give you 5 minutes of their time before the end of each church service. Use that five minutes to explain to people what you are doing. Go straight to the point and don't beat around the bush. When doing this, make sure that someone will be at the door or going around collecting money from people who are willing to donate. When you start raising fund, start making videos and picture of the people you are willing to help. Make a VCD of the pictures and video. Distribute it to people for free. Ask them to spend their time to watch it. Always include your company's bank account number and contact details on the CD and if possible the videos. If you are outside Nigeria, one of the easiest way to get start if by having your own website. Allow people to understand your goal. Publish things related to your project, publish the complete work you have finished, then make sure you placed a paypal donation button on your website. If I come up with any more idea, I will inform you. I wish you the best of luck. |
One_Naira:Both forum and Language website. The forum section is still under construction. We will appreciate if you can help us in providing the information we need to make all things work. Thank you |
Your story remind me of some year back. A friend of mine received such a message and before you can say Jack Robinson, the guy has already recharged 5 Mtn cards and send to the useless cheaper than dirty scammer. Since then, my guy has learnt that there is no such thing as free meal. Please do us a favour and publish the number they used to send the message and also any number they might you to contact you. |
farleft:I have tried opening your website but it takes forever to open. This is my 8th times now but I cannot open it. What is wrong? |
I heard that GTBank offers one of the best online banking experience in Nigeria. I would like to understand the charges for the following 1.) If I want to do online transfer from my GTBank account to someone's GTBank. I would like to know how much it cost and how long it takes before the person receives the money. 2.) If I want to do online transfer from my GTBank to a different bank account. How much does it cost and how many days does it take before the person receives the money. 3.) If I want to do online transfer from my GTBank to someone abroad. How much does it cost and how many days does it take before the person receives the money. |
lefulefu:Haha, you see what I am talking. When I asked you to upgrade your brain, I know it was an insult but I wanted to see how you will handle it. You know why? You mentioned Albino and dwarf because you looked down upon them and thereby insulting the God that created them. You might think that you are playing a joke but when the same joke was thrown towards you, you become too fast to lay an insult. There are many different topics you can discuss on. Do not spend another day insulting your fellow human being because you might not know what might become of you the next second. Try to be a source of happiness to those who lack it rather than being the source of their sorrow. |
@Poster You need to update that your brain. It is running on Windows 95. |
419 did not and never will it reduce unemployment in Nigeria. In Nigeria, it has caused a lot of people not to use their brain power to think of something good that can benefit their society and mankind. If a fraudster can sit down for once and think about the time wasted sending emails or other crook ways, it doesn't worth it. In international level, many Nigerians are unemployment or couldn't get a position in a high office due to lack of trust and also the image the 419 has on us. If only I can catch those stupid people that sent numerous emails calling themselves God knows what and sometimes claiming to have known me from nairaland, I will roast their small thing and feed it to the dogs. Foolish people. |
I think one of the main thing is the location of the business. If you open it in a place where people know nothing about internet or hasn't touch the keyboard before, then you must advertise the business for you to succeed. You need to tell them the hidden secret in online business and IT world. I wish you the best |

Is there any free chat script like facebook chat. I would like to implement it on our website |
phtomay:You are right. I think if the poster can tell us how he got scammed, then we will know how we can avoid being scam. |
@Poster Imagine a person went to Lagos and bought a tool, he went to Enugu and meet someone on the street. He started asking the person how he can use the tool he bought in Lagos. Do you imagine the person will know the answer? Why not ask the company. I believe they can explain better. |
I have been hearing about this gang violation video but I haven't seen it. Where can I watch the video. I checked youtube but it wasn't there. Anyone get the video? |
Bliss4Lyfe:The soldiers are not even yellow. They are also blacks. How can a lion eat its fellow lion. Besides, how did you know that the person in picture is Nigerian. How does these Solomon Okoduwa came to the conclusion that Nigerians in Libya is 80-90 thousands. Who counted them and when? |
Can someone explain this adsense to me? I thought that you can only earn when someone click on the adsense link. Can you also earn when someone just visit your website without clicking on the adsense. |
