RomanceSleeping After intimacy by deco2come(op): 1:11pm On May 21, 2010
My fellow guys, most of you will agree with me that after making love with your wife or girlfriend and you fall asleep immediately, your wife or girlfriend won't feel happy. And if you continue to behave like that, then you must be signing your last contract with her.

My question is if your girl is the kind of person that fall asleep immediately after intimacy, do you think you are a good performer. If your answer is "yes", then why do ladies get annoyed when their men fall asleep after intimacy. Aren't he a good performer that deserve some rest?

The choice is yours. If you like the girl, then go for her but if you don't, give her some reasonable reasons and I'm quite sure she'd understand.

RomanceHow Can I Tell her Without Hurting Her? by deco2come(op): 6:59am On May 19, 2010
I can't think of any method to make her stop. Here is my story:-

My little sister being the last child of the family, was the favourite child of the family. She has this friend of her. They did everything together. Due to the love I have for my sister, I always make sure that she and her friend are always happy. The girl sometimes spent her night at with us.

After my sister's death, I taught everything will fade away but I was wrong. I don't know what the girl thinks anytime she looks into my eyes. I don't know because I'm confused. To make matter worse, sometimes she called me up to six to eight times a day. She comes over anytime that I have a free time( esp weekends).

I know she is smart; she talks matured. She even buy books and other gifts sometimess. On Sunday(s) she calls to ask the time I have to attend mass in order to sit beside me. I don't want to gamble my name with her behaviour.

Why do I want to avoid her? It is because she is only 15 though this has been happening for some years now. The truth is that within all this years, I have never think of any lustful thought. I just want to avoid her because some people are already talking. I hate it when people gossip with my name.I have tried to avoid talking with her for some days and the day I ran into her, she started crying. A friend once made a joke that I'm having some fun with the girl. It made me angry. I want to save my name but I don't want to hurt the little heart. She is my sister's favourite. How can I go about this?
RomanceWhat Do Girls Really Want? by deco2come(op): 2:57pm On May 16, 2010
Having spoke with many girls, and also read some posts here, many girls always say that they don't want to marry a guy that doesn't have any sexual experience. The same girls also want to keep their virginity. Where do they want men to get the experience from. Abi na our dogs and cats we go use do the experiment or maybe they want us to buy soap every two days.

Wait a minute, it is like they support gay. Guys run for your life oooooo.
Christianity EtcDoes Roman Catholics Practice The Same Doctrine by deco2come(op): 10:47am On May 16, 2010
Before anyone should crucified me, I want to make it know that I am also an adent Roman Catholic member.

Anyway, regarding to my question, I have noticed that we the roman catholic don't practice the same doctrine. If I'm wrong, I would like to know why

1.) Most roman catholic in the western world don't cover their hair during the mass celebration.
2.) We are told that it is against the doctrine for a female to wear trouser but after attending different roman catholic branches, it ended up that some of them still allow female to wear such things to church( some even wear it to receive the holy communion). Some where suite trousers and clam that it is more modest. It that is the case, then I believe that God will apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah.
3.) Most Roman Catholic churches in the western countries only hold an hour of mass service but most in Nigeria hold at least 1:30minutes.
4.) Some celebrations like palm Sunday isn't being celebrated the same way.

Can someone tell me what is going on?

Can you explain the China part, please? By the way I wasn't suggesting that good news doesn't have a great impact on people - good news is the tonic of life. My note was about the complaint that good news doesn't get a lot of responses - it doesn't generate much controversy as almost everybody usually likes it, so you are not going to get a lot of back and forth. A forum like this is in reality a race to the bottom, except those few instances when spectacularly good news gets interest.

What I am warning about is FALSE good news, propaganda. If you want to live in China go give it a try and see whether you will like to be control and watched in almost everything in you do and say.

If our government wants to open a flood of good news, let them pass the freedom of information bill, and open every one of their activities up to the press. It is sad that they muzzle information flow and at the same time keep sending emissaries to internet fora to try to bend information their way. It will never work.
With a comment like this "A forum like this is in reality a race to the bottom, except those few instances when spectacularly good news gets interest", I will say that you deserve a bottle of beer. Show me a post that has more than 50 response, and I will show you a post full of racial insults and quarrel.

Regarding the case of China, the truth is that their government control most of the things with the news media not an exception. The only thing I like is that their news shows most of the good country side to the viewers(its citizens) than they show the bad side. With this kind of thing, it increase their citizens moral especially someone that is nurturing a dream.

But showing/talking only the bad sides of a country is one of the quickest way to kill one's ambition for his/her beloved nation.

@poster,
u ended up making no point here.
if u don't want us to believe cnn, bbc and co, u shld be able to link us to who to believe.
obasanjo once said he does not read nigerian papers and we as good fellowers joined him in the foreign media so it is surprising now that u are saying this.
are u asking us back to ait and their likes.
by the way, what do u need the media for? our roads - we move through them on daily basis.
our security - talk of bola ige. electricty what a perfect stability? politicians - very straight forward ppl.
pipe borne water - only in our movies.
we have stopped comparing nigeria to the western world long ago as we are comparing nigeria to ghana, burkina faso, togo, benin etc at least they have stability in the electricity.
the first step to changing this country will be a unianimous agreement by the way of rejecting what is happening here and then go for the alternative but if we continue in our pretence that all is well, it will end up been like this.
the journey of 1 million miles begins with a step but our problem here is lack of that starting step.
on yar adua and jonathan, u can agree with me that another four (4) crusial years is going wasted. are u thinking we will getting anywhere with this type of movement?
You are right. Nigeria has experience many problems. When I mean don't watch cnn, bbc, or other news programms, like I said they are being run by corporate hitmen. I will say that Nigeria politicians are fools by allowing some of foreign companies to corrupt them.

I watch a lot of documentaries and on one occasion, a retired CIA officer was saying how they corrupt most of the worlds politicians for their own greedy interest.Don't except bbc or ccn to show that to you. I hope you still remember their recent slogan like "Welcome to Lagos" Ask yourself this question, is that the real title to give to that documentary. Anyone that watched that program will think that lagos is just like that. Check the case of Iraq or Pakistan, I would rather give one of your balls than to go to Pakistan or Iraq; why because of the way those countries are being portrated by the media. But the truth of the matter is that those countries are far better than what we see on yahoo news page.

Remember the case of Ecuador, Panama, Pakistan, India, Iraq, Venezoula, and many others.

As long as electricity is concern, it is also political game in Nigeria. Do you think powerful companies/individuals that import generators will be happy if there is 24hours electricity in Nigeria. Do you know how much revenue they generate from their sale per day.

Talking about petrol, I believe Chevron and Shell will give us a good answer on the reasons why Nigeria doesn't refine the crude oil in their own hometown. Mark my words, watch for any Nigeria president that will stand against Chevron or Shell and take account of everything including Nigeria relationship with USA how it will turn upside down. Hope you won't be living in any of the oil location that time.

To understand what I mean more better I recommend you watch a documentary like The Zeitgeist( all the three series), The world according to Monsento, Panama Deception, War on democracy. Say no to Fox, CNN, BBC, they are not eye opener

true story.

This is the official hate forum for Nigeria and it's sad.
if you post anything go it will be ignored. The largest human works project in the history of west Africa is being conducted in Nigeria right now as we speak and 90% of this site doesn't know about it, if i brought it up they wouldn't care they're just looking for reasons to blame Nigeria for their own person depression.

Nigeria is a great country that's trying hard and going far, everyone in the world, except members of this site, acknowledge this. i have better discussions about Nigeria with non Nigerians that have lived in Nigeria then i do with Nigerians.
Your post reminded me of an event that happened last year. One evening, I was taking an evening walk with some group of friends. We were about seven. From no where, someone raised the issue of Nigeria condition and to make matters worse, all believe that Nigeria is a dead state. I tried to changed their angle from which they view the country but it is like pouring water on a stone. Their minds have already been fixed; they couldn't even pin point a single good thing from the country. I felt so hurt that I decided to go home immediately. On reaching home, I turned on my system to chat with anyone online and the first guy I met was from Netherlands. Immediately I told the guy my country of origin, they was so happy. He started telling me the good things from the country and how how went to England and was stranded. A Nigerian helped him and accommodated him for a year before he went back to his country(Netherlands).

That incident left me with some serious questions like six brains (my friends) put together can't even pin point a single good thing from the country and a foreigner named many good things ( going as far as visiting the country twice and planning to open a business) or does it mean that my friends have an empty skull?

I hereby appeal to this forum admin, please could you created a session whereby the good deeds of the country or motivation stories can be posted. I believe it will help many people especially those who still believe in the country.

About 90% percent of the posts here condemned everything that comes from Nigeria. And about 95% percent of folks here don't speak good about the country. Some have even made this slogan "ONLY IN NIGERIA" as their signature in any post they seem to post or comment on.

What am I trying to say, some posts like ]https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-435483.0.html got everything wrong. After taking a second look at the post, two things came to my mind; it's either the poster is obsess with anything that comes from a foreign country or it's either he failed to carry out his research before posting such a topic.

I was once a victim of foreign/local news fallacy.I believed everything that I saw on the television. But one event changed everything entirely.

Nigeria condition might not be good but don't forget that no country is a bed of rose. Before you compare Nigeria to any foreign countries( especially more advanced one), don't forget that such countries gained their independence 100(s) of years ago and most not being ruled by any country at all. Also don't forget that all most, all of the countries experienced what Nigeria is experiencing today and some are still experiencing such problems without getting their problems fixed.

Finally, no matter from which angle you view(esp those viewing from tv) Nigeria, don't jump into conclusion. Get your facts straight. Don't base your conclusion on what you saw on corporate news services like cnn, bbc, etc. They are run by corporate hitmen who won't allow you to see the world from your own eyes rather from their own eyes.

This is a case of a lecturer helping a student to carry out an exam malpractice, and when asked him(lecturer) about the country present condition, the first answer that will come out of his mouth is " Our government is bad!!!!!!!!"

@poster, what can you say of that lecturer? Do you think he is right?

It is simple, the lecturer just define corruption from his own point of view.

The organization that named those countries certainly define freedom from their own perspectives. As long as I am concern, all country is guilty of freedom violation.

PoliticsNigerian Suspected Airliner Bomber On Training Ground by deco2come(op): 9:56am On Apr 27, 2010
WASHINGTON – A video has surfaced showing accused Christmas Day bomber Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab training with al-Qaida in Yemen.

The video, obtained and broadcast Monday by "ABC World News," shows the 23-year-old Nigerian firing weapons and speaking in Arabic about his impending attack. He is shown reading from the Quran and saying, "God said those who punish you must be punished."

A U.S. intelligence official said Monday that the preliminary judgment is that it is Abdulmutallab in the video and the footage is consistent with the understanding that he was in training. It is not clear where and when the video was made. The official spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive matters.

According to ABC News, the video was produced by al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula, or AQAP. Abdulmutallab and others are shows firing at targets, including a Jewish star and one labeled "UN."

Abdulmutallab is accused of trying to use a bomb hidden in his underwear to bring down a Detroit-bound airliner on Christmas Day. The explosives failed, though they burned Abdulmutallab, who was arrested.

He was arrested and has been cooperating with investigators, discussing his contacts in Yemen and providing intelligence in multiple terrorism investigations, according to U.S. officials.

The IntelCenter, an Alexandria, Va.-based company that studies terrorist groups, reported that video from AQAP aired Monday on television networks al-Jazeera and al-Jazeera English appear to show the first official communication from a terrorist organization by Anwar al-Awlaki, a Muslim cleric born in New Mexico to Yemeni parents. He has been linked to Abdulmutallab and Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, the U.S. Army psychiatrist accused of killing 13 people in November at Fort Hood, Texas.

"While he had been supportive of groups in the past, he has until now never been publicly connected to a group through its official messages," IntelCenter director Ben N. Venzke said in an e-mail. "Today's release firmly ties al-Awlaki to AQAP."

I believe most of us have heard something like "Aids to Africa(as if Africa is a country), and my question is " Does Nigeria receive any aid program from western(especially money).

The other day, I was chatting with a friend and he was telling me how westerners give money to Africa. I told him that they should stop referring to Africa as a country. That it would be fair if they mention the specific countries that receives the funds. As long know, I haven't heard of Nigeria receiving money from outside world( I know they do borrow money sometimes).
Besides, I haven't heard of any Nigerian being sponsored to study abroad by any international organization unlike some of Africa nations.

The government is completely responsible for creation of jobs. Everything tree has its root. Kill the root and the tree won't survive. As for jobs, their main important roots are electricity and traffics (good road network). Is it also the responsibility the citizens to build the roads and provide lights.

I think your question is wrong. Do you want to tell me that all the students fail the exam. The issue is that you focus on those that didn't reach up to the required mark. No one fails jamb exam. It all depends on the cut off mark of the school in which one is seeking for admission.

All you have to understand is that the news tells you what they want you to hear and not the truth. Before reading any newspaper or watch any news, first you have to understand that the journalist also seek for promotion and they can say anything in order to gain that promotion. They don't care if it is affecting you.

Nigeria might be bad but believe me, if USA journalist decide to say bad things happening in that country(USA), many people will think twice before applying for visa.

If I may ask, when was the last time you saw western media saying goods things about countries in Africa or Asia. They always like to see something bad. Or should I ask when was the last time you saw some good parts of the country's(Nigeria or other Africa countries) cities on your television. The only thing they display is villages, people living in poverty, or other things that can piss you off.

Finally, I will say that Nigeria condition is not good at the moment but it doesn't appear the way they broadcast it.
You may like to watch some of Michael Moore documentaries because he is one those that will tell you what happens in that country(USA)
