I want to set an event to happen in the future. I want to set the time to run in server instead of clients side.

The way it works is simple. Send the pictures of your products(including their prices) to me. I will help you to put it on my site. Nice question. Actually I used "aboutus page" as an example. There is a page(let's call it about us page) that I want to display on the front page every 14th of each month. I want the page to take over the homepage for about an hour. Then after that hour, the homepage will appear again to take its position and the about us page will disappear(it will still remain on the root folder until the next 14th of each month)

I want a page in my site to display in a particular day.

For example,

I want my "aboutus page" to display on 14th of Feburary and after about an hour it will refresh and the "homepage page" will take its position again.

I will appreciate if someone can tell me how I can achieve the result. Thank you.

I'm looking for a way of generating numbers into my database. Just like http://us.battle.net/wow/en/, I need a way of entering a million numbers into my database so that when someone wants to participate in my site activities, he/she will need to purchase a recharge card similar to the above website.

I have heard a lot of Zend Framework and how it makes work so easy when writing php using it. I wanted to learn zend framework before but the first time I looked at it, it gave me the feeling that I need to learn the structure of zend framework which I found a little bit hard and waste of time. I looked for online tutorial that will explain things in details but found none.

I got your point. Knowing a program doesn't mean that the person knows all the API, Classes, Functions, e.t.c off head.

A professional programmer might not know everything off head, but he knows that such a function exist and can retrieve an information he needed within some seconds. But I still don't doubt that someone can know everything off head.

Haven't you heard about the ancient General who knows all his soldiers(more than five thousand men) off head or the university teacher that always takes a roll call of his students( more than 1000students) without his registry. He still maintain the record of when a student miss a class.

I might have read those in a book but the one I can testify is during my high school. There was this guy in my class, that has the ability of telling you the page of any topic you mention in each of the subjects( 9 subjects ). You need to see his WAEC to believe.

I believe you know pastors that have the ability of quoting the whole bible verse.

My guy, there are things that seem hard to believe, but don't forget that nothing is impossible to him that believe.

Even if he copy everything from textbook does it matter? You have to focus on the end result rather than the source. Believe in the power of your brain and your riches will have no limit.

Sorry for my late reply. To answer your question,

You can boot your computer using the safe mode by pressing the F8 when you turn on your computer.
Method
1.) Turn on your system.
2.) After some view seconds, your computer will display a blank screen. Press the F8 continues about 2-4times.
3.) Wait for some seconds, your computer will display some options asking you which mode you want to boost your computer.
4.) Choose the Safe mode(it is display on the screen).

Remember, safe mode is mainly use to solve persistent problems like virus infections, or files that refuses to be uninstall or deleted.

Sorry for my late response, try this method also


1. Place your Windows XP CD in your cd-rom and start your computer (it’s assumed here that your XP CD is bootable – as it should be – and that you have your bios set to boot from CD)

2. Keep your eye on the screen messages for booting to your cd Typically, it will be “Press any key to boot from cd”

3. Once you get in, the first screen will indicate that Setup is inspecting your system and loading files.

4. When you get to the Welcome to Setup screen, press ENTER to Setup Windows now

5. The Licensing Agreement comes next – Press F8 to accept it.

6. The next screen is the Setup screen which gives you the option to do a Repair.

It should read something like “If one of the following Windows XP installations is damaged, Setup can try to repair it”

Use the up and down arrow keys to select your XP installation (if you only have one, it should already be selected) and press R to begin the Repair process.

7. Let the Repair run. Setup will now check your disks and then start copying files which can take several minutes.

8. Shortly after the Copying Files stage, you will be required to reboot. (this will happen automatically – you will see a progress bar stating “Your computer will reboot in 15 seconds”

9. During the reboot, do not make the mistake of “pressing any key” to boot from the CD again! Setup will resume automatically with the standard billboard screens and you will notice Installing Windows is highlighted.

10. Keep your eye on the lower left hand side of the screen and when you see the Installing Devices progress bar, press SHIFT + F10. This is the security hole! A command console will now open up giving you the potential for wide access to your system.

11. At the prompt, type NUSRMGR.CPL and press Enter. Voila! You have just gained graphical access to your User Accounts in the Control Panel.

12. Now simply pick the account you need to change and remove or change your password as you prefer. If you want to log on without having to enter your new password, you can type control userpasswords2 at the prompt and choose to log on without being asked for password. After you’ve made your changes close the windows, exit the command box and continue on with the Repair (have your Product key handy).

13. Once the Repair is done, you will be able to log on with your new password (or without a password if you chose not to use one or if you chose not to be asked for a password). Your programs and personalized settings should remain intact.

You shoould have said so. All you need is to buy a physicall server AKA computer and load your files. You don't need any hosting company to do that.

I know that you can host your files from your personal computer but can you design a website and host it on your personal computer. If the answer is yes, then why do hosting companies prefer buying big servers instead of using an ordinary computer. What are their differences.

Even from computer village here, you can get a server that will accommodate your files

you don't need an hosting company for this.

Thank you for your answer. Actually, I don't want to make it go live on internet, I'm working on intranet. The Server should be mine. The files should be only available to people on my network. So we need a Server for my work community.

Try booting your computer in a safe mode, if you are able to login, then create a new administrator account.

If you don't succeed in booting from safe mode, then the next option you have is logging in with "DOS" command. You have 10% of succeeding with this method because, by default your computer turn this off for security purposes. Hope your own is enabled before you forgot your password.

You can also ask Mr Google for best answers. Wish you luck

You forgot to tell the poster that he should choose what he love doing. Mr/Mrs poster, the simple truth is this "If you choose a course because of the money in it, you are doom to fall" You know why, I will tell you;

E.g If I choose a petroleum engineering because it pays well, but deep inside me, I know that I love literature so dearly that I think about it all the time, I dream about it, I live for it but because it don't have enough influence or that people that has done the course before are not well known or rich, I neglected it and choose the petroleum engineering because of the money, I may make the money but believe me, I won't go far in the field because there is no love and my heart doesn't beat for it. I won't see any innovation or apply new things.

Remember, IT has many branches e.g Networking, programming, web designing, graphics, a lot of areas my brother. Just go to the mirror and look at yourself then ask yourself this question
“What is one course that I know if I do it, I will do it perfectly, not only perfectly but with love and happiness"?
My brother whatever the answer is, choose the course. I promise you will never regret it.
