Yes!!!!! It will help you reduce the number of your perceived and non-existing enemies. You and your stock are always dreaming about invasion.
Politics › Re: Nigerian Unity Is Not Negotiable – Imoke by Dede1(m): 1:19pm On Oct 01, 2011
jason123:
As the country marks its 51st Independence anniversary, Governor Liyel Imoke of Cross River State has called on all leaders to render selfless service to their fatherland, saying that the unity of the country is non negotiable.

Imoke in a statement signed by his Special assistant on Media/Chief press secretary, Mr. Omini Oden, said that it will be a shameful thing to the leaders of the country to allow the labours of the fore-fathers to go in vain.

He said that the nationalists of the country had fought for a strong united and self reliant nation, but their efforts in recent times had been confronted by the challenges terrorism, corruption, poverty, illiteracy, religious differences, and power struggle, but advised that the unity of the nation should not be sacrificed on the alter of such differences.

Imoke stressed the need for leaders to channel their resources in building a virile Nigeria in line with global trend that can compete favorably among the comity of nation, adding that what the nation needed was the creation of enabling environment for socio-economic advancement that impact on lives of the people.

Did Imoke realize disunity of this country is also non negotiable? Nigerians in certain position of power tend to speak without philosophical approach.

Next time you will not try to Invade another man's land. Buncha Kidnappers and Human eaters
It is unfortunate you construe the need to uncover the truth as hatred. When did Nigeria become Yoruba land? Yet I kept hearing this nonsensical invasion of “another man's land” from bunch of nitwits on this forum. The civil war was between Nigeria and Biafra.

Nigeria attacked Biafra and the later returned the favor. If Yoruba are dreaming of war with Ndigbo, I urge them to wake up from the deep slumber and make it a reality rather than being delusional.

At least, the kidnappers and human eaters mean what they say and say what they mean, no flippancy.

Treacherous acts of Yoruba people are known traits in Nigeria. From introduction of carpet-crossing into Nigerian polity to saber-rattling in 1966 for moments and cowardly succumbed to drunken soldiers from northern region of Nigeria.

It did not come as a surprise to me when I read about a comment credited to hot-air-blowing leader of OPC begging Boko Haram and MEND not to blow up Abuja.

I despise both stupidity and treachery.

much has been made of the WAR ERA policies of CHIEF OBAFEMI AWOLOWO,. the finance minister during the nigerian civil war(1967/1970).it is widely believed or evident that as the no.2 man running the show ,he crafted the Gowon rebuttal of the Aburi conference resolutions which some believed would have averted the bloodshed, maybe maybe not.it is pertinent know that in war there is no universal rules, instead war zone conventions are relative. is it right to call ex U.S PRESIDENT W. BUSH,WHEN YOU CONSIDER THE DEATH OF OVER 200,00 IRAQIS$over 4,000 U.S Servicemen and women,a war criminal? AS MY OWN OPINION,AWO performed well in the capacity he found himself and excellently well too.during the jewish war A.D 66/70,ROMAN GENERAL, TITUS, CONQUERED JERUSALEM,after much bloodshed, today, the TITUS ARCH STILL stands in ROME,ITALY.others have called TITUS a war criminal, many miliions yet adore him.ALEXANDER THE GREAT, WAS ALSO RESPONSIBLE FOR THOUSANDS OF DEATHS,TODAY, EUROPEAN SCHOLARS REVERE HIM and his'achievements'.and what of NAPOLEON,THE LIVING 'GOD' OF French nationalists?i am pretty sure that if any biafran leader then had the opportunity or resources AWO'S FEDERAL GOVERNMENT HAD, HOW THE WAR IS WON WOULD BE NO OBJECT.the end justifies the means,IT WOULD HAVE ALSO BEEN SAID.in every manthere is a ''selfishiness''of sorts, whether you admit it or not.LIKE IN ATHLETICS OR OTHER SPORTS,THE ONLY THING IS WINNING.those who accussed awolowo of STARVATION,should ask themselves whether being soft has ever achieved anything.MR. JONATHAN IS ROUGHLY,FINDING THAT OUT NOW.in war, there would always be casualties.yes,in war there are ugly things, but it is part of the tragedy that comes up in any conflict.AWO,AS ANY MAN,is not and was not perfect.of greater impotance is to PONDER BEFORE GOING THE WHOLE HOG.''DON'T GET INTO A FIGHT YOU CAN'T WIN''
Please correct the impression of Awo being #2 during the era in reference. Since you have it wrong in the first sentences of the conjectural crap, I guess it does not worth a second look.

In the history of mankind, every war fought has involved what we academically refer to as war crimes. You have no idea what the
human mind can conceive during the conduct of warfare. The human mind to a great extent "loses it" and the animal comes out. Biafra went
to war rather than embrace the option. When you go to war you should be ready for the consequencies and not come here decades later, shedding
tears and abusing people who refuse to cry with you. Igbo or no igbo, war is war. As for oil, was that not the root of all the evil
You have written like an imbecilic dullard. Please could you inform us what the options Biafra did not embrace?

I think your argument is baseless. You count one before you count two. Onitsha port will further expand because its gonna be among the busiest ports in west african region. The Onitsha Port is one of the greatest gifts to the Southeast. I don't know your statement of mind 'jealousy or frustration that the port is not in your home state'huh?  It is one project that will open not only the Anambra state but the entire SE for greater good. Anambra is fasting becoming the economic hub for the SE/SS and by extension Nigeria
My people say he who requested chair from a lizard should take proper look at the lizard. I am for any project, regardless how little, the federal government dimmed necessary for SE. There is no doubt SE zone is worth more than mere river port for noisy celebration. However, my option of gateway to outside world from SE would have been a comparable airport to MMA or NNA.

Let us look constructively and strictly on business terms between a river port and seaport. I wish the river port at Onicha could be able to anchor Ocean going container ships. If not, I still maintain Port Harcourt seaport should be given infrastructural uplift that was given to Apapa or Tin Can ports. Unless the SE\SS zones are satisfied with transportation of dry fish and palm wine usually by canoe, the river port should not be celebrated with state-wide festivity.  sad sad

I guess you should have inquired about my home state before leaping to jealousy or frustration statement.

During Colonial era the NIGER DELTA was only the Ijaw land and even OGONI was not among, Niger Delta division. Sierra Leonians were brought to the Kalabari Ijaw land for different purposes including religion. During the days of Bishop Ajayi Crowder he worked with Garick Braide of Kalabari along side Sierra Leonians, WARRI was not in the news, Benin was also not in the news, WARRI area was a different ball game refered to as WARRI division and never even part of the Niger Delta, PIDGIN english subsequently was formed by the Siera Leonians and KALABARI Ijaw people along with Western Camerounians, The evidence of this is the numerous KALABARI Ijaw words in early pidgin english like, Poto Poto ( marshy watery land ) wor wor ( ugly or not looking nice ) Tey ( past tence as in, I wait for you so tey ) Some Warri Souls one day tried to mess me up by telling me they are better pidgin speakers and used words like KURUSU and KOSO and asked me if I know those words, I looked at them and despised them more . They claimed those were Pidgin words they use that a Rivers boy would not understand, Then I told them they just used KALABARI Ijaw native words KURUSU meaning CANON AND KOSO meaning Top game, They became ashamed of their arrogance . Now that is the kind of ignorance many people from the WESTERN PART of Nigeria are sick of, Some of them even think PORT HARCOURT is one village like Ilaro or Ikire or Gbangan .

Time for you people to know that the IJAWS actually started the pace of civilization in Nigeria.

Stop being arrogant and start respecting your Ijaw masters,

I am of the view colonialism played a major part in certain aspect of inferior mentality often displayed by Africans. As for Nigerians, I should trace such problems to the configuration of the country which has inhibited the essence of uniqueness among nation states fused together to form Nigeria. It is unfortunate that any attempt to promote the unique identity of certain group of people in Nigeria is readily labeled tribalism.

I can not fathom the immediate benefit of the river port, not a seaport, at Onicha but the damage of this misguided project could be felt at Ogbaru community. This is another kneejerk job by the federal government instituted to continue the civil war. The main seaports in south eastern region of Nigeria have been starved of necessary amenities and other leverages to compete with Apapa and Tin Can.

I had rather have an airport comparable to MMA and NAA in the eastern region than river port in Onicha.

Some of the loudmouths who have condescendingly contributed to this post with usual cynicism portrayed inherent bigotry, jealousy and lack of self-esteem.

Also, do you know the origins of the kalabari language?
Very few of Nigeria’s former military leaders are spoken of with any great affection.  There is on notable exception: General Murtala Muhammed, a man who was recently vilified by NL youths who are ignorant .  The time of his regime is recalled with nostalgia by Nigerians of both civilian and military persuasions as a golden age.   Murtala gave Nigeria a glimpse of the principled and dynamic leadership that its citizens crave. He would appear at ministries unannounced and sack employees including ministers who were not on sit at 8am.  After sacking a couple of Ministers, the rest of them sat up and actually began workint.

GEJ may want to set an example by sacking a few DGs and ministers found to be lacking as GEJ himself admits. The Presidency is powerful enough to cause a dramatic change in the attitudes of these DGs and ministers who only know how to steal from their ministries year in year out!
Please quit conjuring the name of Murtala Mohammed when vital issue about Nigeria is being deliberated. The approach you cited is a zombie method that breeds stupidity instead of dynamism. We need to formulate a system that will empower the people to love their jobs and engender willingness to perform beyond required expectations. I honestly agreed Nigeria’s terminal problems are societal and structural as pointed out by Beaf. We must bring equity to the fore and create sense of patriotism by erasing any remote scare left by the civil war, if possible.

It is only redundant fool who does not know Nigeria is a rubbish heap of manure. I have not stopped refereeing to Nigeria as a jungle for a reason. Nigeria’s problem is multidimensional. Attempts devoid of sound fundamental approach to solving the problems created by Nigerians are waste of time. Truly speaking, I hope for total disintegration of Nigeria which should allow for carefully negotiated co-existence among neighbors.

I am of the opinion Nigeria is a wasted lot. In some section, people are allowed to carry concealed weapon of their choice such as double-edged dagger while some places people are not allowed to carry concealed weapon of their choice such as handgun. If this lady was carrying a mere Saturday-night special, she could have sent those miscreants scampering for cover instead of being willingly violated.
