Politics › Re: Prof. Chinua Achebe - I Am Saddened By His Utterances: by Dede1(m): 2:43pm On Jan 24, 2009
@Poster

I do not hate to burst your bubble or your utopian sociological view of Nigeria. The jungle called Nigeria is a wrongly configured colonial contraception. There is nothing imaginarily linked to unity when Nigeria is in the view.

Being an internationally acclaimed figure does not negate the reason for embracing nationalistic ideals. If any anybody is qualified to talk about nationalistic ideals, Prof. Chinua Achebe is more than qualified.

If Nigeria can mention any form of success she has achieved since independence or any proven socio-political machination she pursued to promote unity, I would be in forefront denouncing any formation of nationalistic interest within the cesspit.

I guess you are so starkly blind, dumb and deaf that you can not see, perceive or hear that Nigeria government had institutionalized all forms of sectionalism to be adversely manifested against a particular ethnic group. Almost every Igbo person whether internationally, locally acclaimed or no acclaim would like to have country where the level playing ground is equal.

Have you noticed anywhere in world when the citizen’s properties were declared abandoned? Have you ever noticed any place in the world when a country embarked on boundary adjustment within the same country? Have you ever noticed any country that saw a policy that tends to stymied the progress rather than encourage a section of her citizenry?
Politics › Re: Court Dissolves Gbenga, Moji Obasanjo’s 8-year Old Marriage by Dede1(m): 11:48pm On Jan 23, 2009
Why would they allow the court to interject in the dissolution of their marriage? Was this marriage consummated in the court? If the answer is negative, than this is an erosion of traditional responsibilities of the people’s culture.

really?

the igbos must have built the great wall of china . they were also the first on the moon too.
Are human beings not the builder of Great Wall of China? Please explain if the men who landed on the moon are robotics.

When will Nigerians wave bye-bye to stupidity? When you think that the herds of them have been driven into the mud, another raises its ugly head.
Politics › Re: Why Did God Pack Foolish People Into A Single Country And Call It Nigeria? by Dede1(m): 3:47am On Jan 22, 2009

The picture of the analogous concepts between Nigeria and USA as being painted by the poster looks so foolish that it depicted the poster as one of the fools parked into Nigeria.

I wondered aloud if the poster actually conceptualized the makings of the two nations from cradle, through tribulation of the civil war, to the present. It would amount to mockery of oneself to brazenly indulge in comparative analysis between Nigeria and USA without soaking in the effervescence of obvious relevancies.

For example, the USA had civil war and the victorious side never declared anybody's
property as abandoned within the union after the war.

The victorious side never indulged in the financial punitive measures to make
sure that the defeated side should lack miserably behind in acquiring wealth in USA.

There was no draconian boundary adjustment initiated by the victorious side in order
to cede some of the crude oil producing areas belonging to the vanquished side to
their neighbors in USA.

There was no quota system adopted in military intake, government
agencies and universities so that victorious side can surpass the vanquished side in
all human endeavors.

There were no changes to the name of landmarks in USA as a punitive measure against the confederacy of the south. Today in Nigeria, there is no Bight of Biafra.

Some streets in the USA capital were named after the confederate generals and even memorials built in there name too.

There was no sublime political or economic machination to undermine the position of the confederate states.

There were massive reconstruction activities and upgrade of infrastructures in the south due to the devastation brought about by the war. This can not be said about Nigeria where the war scar is still visible especially on the roads in eastern Nigeria.

The mainstream of the USA citizenry does not get twisted out of human form or attempts to jump off cliff at the mention of the southern confederacy.

I am not even going to deliberate on issues that led to civil war in Nigeria or the activities during war but what followed when both sides declared truce.

All of the above, including certain omissions, have constituted into a scar of machete cut on the palm that each time the Biafrans looked at it incites the emotion of getting even.

I must honestly confess that Nigeria lost her innocence of being great united nation because of the civil war and she has practically done nothing to redeem herself since the war ended.

If her biological clock will till be ticking at 40, then she could take the chance.

Ndigbo are very proud of the section of Igbo tradition that dictates that if a person is man enough to pregnant a woman, he should be man enough to drop the dowry. What is the essence of bed prowess when such a person can not sustain the outcome?
Romance › Re: What Is The Difference Between The Term Lust And Love? by Dede1(m): 1:25pm On Jan 20, 2009
Love has nothing to do with sex. Love is just having kindly and lenient attitude toward somebody or something. Parents love their kids.

Lust has everything to do with sex. Lust is strong desire to have sexual intercourse.
Romance › Re: My Girlfriend And I Are Both As. We've Just Found Out by Dede1(m): 12:42pm On Jan 20, 2009
Why are Nigerians very good at making ignorance a thing of beauty? It is either they know it all but knew absolutely nothing or they are impetuously hyperbolic.

Like the poster MrCrackles has stated, most persons declared as SS end up having a normal life. Nigeria and Africa have more than 70% of couples who are AS. Such union did not translate into the end of Nigeria or Africa.

Also as Shaz has rightfully stated, it is a matter of biological probability. In case of AS marrying AS, the odd is 75% of having a normal child to 25% having a child with blood disorder. Even within that 25%, with modern technology and advancement in medicine, 10% has sustained a normal life.
Politics › Re: $44 Million Fraud: Fbi Declares Nigerian Wanted Like Bin Ladin by Dede1(m): 9:26pm On Jan 19, 2009
Self pity can not elevate any citizen of the jungle called Nigeria to respectability. One poster lamented of being detained for embarrassing episode at Amsterdam airport but he/she failed to inform about the nature of the episode in which he/she was a participant.

An American named Bernard L. Madoff bilked the citizens of America, Spain and Brazil more then $50 billion dollars yet it did not give Americans bad name or shot the swindler to the top of FBI most wanted person in par with Bin Ladin.

If everybody in Nigeria turned into a saint today, Nigerian citizens must still be subjected to disdainful ordeal at European, Asian or even certain African airports.

The wealth of a nation and ability of such a nation to play a vital rule in altering socio-politico-economic balance in the world engender respect to the country’s citizenry. Good behavior could only minimize the notoriety but does not command respect within international arena.

USA is the murder capital of the world, the country where cocaine and other drugs are audaciously prevalent, country rife with petty and heinous crimes and yet a Nigerian-born with USA passport would not be harassed at any international airport.

I am not even surprised that some peanut heads on this forum could not hold back in demonstrating their sense of ethnic bias. There is a big difference between humility and stupidity.

@sistawoman

It is funny you seemed out of shape because of the usage of the word, Akata. I should remind you that it is equally offensive and crassly ignorance to refer to the inhabitants of Africa as BLACK.

Is it not ironical that you have being consistently a culprit in using the word, back, to reference anybody relating to Africa?  Last time I checked though, Africa is not synonymous with black.

By the way, you have a link to Wiki where Akata is referred as a FOX. As for dodo, it is a fried ripe plantain.

Please be reminded that Nigerians or Africans leaving in Maryland are not stupid. However, I am of the view that in the process of passing a knowledge, the person that failed to grasp the facts are relegated to stupidity column.

You are free to check your column with regard to this discourse.

My advise to you will be to watch your tongue MR.
You are not more than a housefly. Next time you bundle you lazy arse to the internet make sure you conceptualize your thoughts before audaciously flaunting your ignorance in public arena.

@ode remo
If the little scoundrel had comported him/her self and showed a sense of magnanimity when responding to posts, there will be no diatribe directed at his/her corner.

Is your point proven? I bet you are of age to be a grandpa. Your bitter lifestyle has gotten you nothing but to resort to a forum and insult people who won't agree with your points. Can't you pass a point without insults?. What has all those statements proven so far? It proves nothing but the fact that you are angry and bitter.
My point has proven that you are a disgusting pollutant on the Internet. I have had an enjoyable life on earth more then you can dream. If you were part of human nature, I had worn you as slipper.

At least your dumb scull had forced you to visualize that I could be a grandpa which removes me from your mates of cock suckers. You will end your miserable life on earth without attending the age of 30. Do you mean passing a point to a dolt like you?
