You should get "BEWARE" tattoo'd to your forehead
I practice what write. You could prove me wrong the day you should summon your father, uncles and kinsmen to lead you to the compound of your groom’s family so that you can pay his dowry.

I suggest you get “BEWARE” engraved on your forehead because you should not be worrying about mother-in-law but your parents, brothers and uncles.

Read very well. I said mobilize. It seems u don't read history of wars. Wars are fought with the support of allies.
The post that drew your irk did not refer to civil war, any form of mobilization or mastering the northern Nigeria. It is truly yours that used the verbal clauses of mobilize and invade. Of course, you are right about the allies when wars are fought but remember there is no permanent friend in spiral arms among human endeavors. The stupidity of yester years may not repeat itself.

I'm Igbo with a little Efik/Ibibio twist and that's enough. The states are artificial designed to weaken Igbo solidarity.

Any Igbo is a real Igbo whether u are from so-called Delta, Edo, Benue, Cross Rivers, Rivers or Akwaibom. U don't need to be from the other so-called 5 states to be Igbo and be respected. So if an ignorant Igbo tells you are not as Igbo as he is, insult the fool or just brush it off.
There is no compelling pointer that the son/daughter of Ndigbo had directly or indirectly denied any Igbo person the courtesy of undeniable red blooded traits of Igbo regardless of state of origin. However, since after the civil war, there is visible evidence that few groups of people are in denial of being Igbo.

Israel has been starving and killing Palestinians since 1948. Why shouldn't they fight back, for their people and their land? Israel also continued attacking Gaza during the truce, both sides are to blame for the fighting.

The only civilian deaths caused in Iraq and Afghanistan are by suicide bombers? You must forget that earlier this yeah the US military blew up a funeral procession, killing 70 children. You are biased, horribly.
This is the making of a baseless non-starter clutching the wrong end of the history

Nwenenda in my dialect is Nwannennaya and they both mean "father's sibling."

Aleruchi in other parts of Igbo dialects is Elewechi and other variants are Elechi,Enechi,Anenechi.Kanenechukwu and they all simply mean
let's keep our eyes on God/ looking unto God.

Bekwele,I have no clue due to dialectical difference
The verb "kwe" means to agree in Igbo, same thing in Ikwerre.

We had a family friend Mr Mmeregini.Owerris call it Mmerenini
No I would not name my child because it's simply not a positive name.
Mmeregini means what have I done?
why would I give my precious child that kain name?
You are a source of refreshment. I tried to ignore the arrant stupidity posited by one contributor that goes by ow11. Since the civil war ended, there are many Ndigbo who are playing the biblical Peter. I was born and raised within the neighborhood of Ikwerre/Eteche. I used to know places that were known and called Umumasi, Umuchuruse, Obigbo etc. However, I have been informed that these names have been changed.

I wonder why they have not renamed the deities in Ikwerre especially the one that goes as Ojukwu Diobi (diobu for Ikwerre). I bet if Port Harcourt would have been reverted to her real Igbo name (or so-called Ikwerre name), Igwe-Ochambara ama or Igwe-ochambram, the nitwits would have found a way to bastardize it all within means of denial.

Please temper your emotions before replying to certain posts. If you fail to do so, you could post like an over-fed fool without aspirations. By the way, it would have been humanly impossible for the alluded civil war in your post to have ended the manner it did if the sole combatants were only Northern Nigerians and Biafrans. At least, you should recall that it took almost three (3 years) for the combined forces of Britain, USSR, Chad, Arab league, Egypt, Cameroon, Republic of Benin, Northern Nigerian, Western Nigerian, most of the Mid-western Nigeria and some of the ethnic minority groups in the Eastern Nigeria to achieve your fantasy.

Nigeria should strive to manufacture genuine products. The good products are as a result of R&D and iterative process. By the way, only countries can embark on R&D. In my book, Nigeria is not a country. Until the jungle called Nigeria attains that manufacturing cadre, the citizenry of this geographical expression must continue to wallow in the agony of dealing with junks.

for people who want to learn the controversial issue in promotion in nigerian police force is not who is DIG OR NOT it is who entered the police before others. ogbonna onovo entered the police before mike, so he is the senior even if they were both DIGS
It appears that with skewed tendency to make Ribadu a saint, the contributors are willing to say anything. Nigerian police may consider the intake period among other factors when promoting its members. However, the active duty promotion does not necessarily conform to intake period criteria. For example, two individual with same degree could join the force at this same time with rank of DSP or SP, but one might show bravery during active duty by engaging armed robbers. The individual that have shown bravery in active duty would be promoted to the rank of SP or DCP. Now if another promotion comes up, the service record of the individuals of the same rank would come into play as who gets the promotion. In case of Ribadu, the research has indicated that his active duty record has absolutely nothing to write home about.

Politics › Re: Mike Okiro Was Illegally Promoted Above His Senior Ogbonna Onovo. So Why Demotin by Dede1(m): 11:11pm On Dec 24, 2008
In a moronic attempt to defend fraudulent Ribadu, contributors on this forum are displaying considerable degree of ignorance. At the time of the Okiro’s promotion to IG, both Onovo and Okiro were DIG and a call for seniority is irrelevant. The choice lies with appointer.
Politics › Re: Mallam Ribadu Dismissed From The Police! by Dede1(m): 10:55pm On Dec 24, 2008
Nuhu Ribadu is the replica of everything wrong with the jungle called Nigeria. I am flabbergasted when few folks on this forum in attempt to defend Ribadu subject Okiro to sarcastic joke about combating crime on the streets of the Nigeria. However, they forgot that this moribund Nigerian police officer in Ribadu has never arrested drunken public nuisance either as desk officer or the chairman of EFCC. I am still questioning the grounds of his promotion to DCP. The evidence so far suggested that Nuhu Ribadu should occupy the rank of SP (Superintendent of Police). If Ribadu did not come from a certain ethnic, his name and police career would not have taken this much of the cyber space.
Politics › Re: Mallam Ribadu Dismissed From The Police! by Dede1(m): 1:22am On Dec 24, 2008

Please Mr. Constitution-expert could you post the section of Nigerian constitution that expressly stated that the President and Commander-in-Chief could promote anybody in uniform without due process. In fact, certain brackets of the rank must go through the armed service committee of the senate.

Journeyman, the last time I checked, the jungle called Nigeria was running democratic system of government not unitary government of the military.

idiopathic:
Dede, your comment is wholly erroneous and inappropriate. Ribadu recovered over $5.5 billion in his over 5 years at the helm of EFCC. If Okiro despite the menace of armed robbery in Nigeria can be given a double promotion, why not Ribadu?
Ribadu did not recover a penny and was not even behind the monies recovered from certain foreign countries. Again for the sake of the fact, Ribadu was promoted before he was appointed chairman of EFCC. Nigerian Police does not promote its members for a mere clerical work. For the record, Mike Okiro was the only State Commissioner of police that went on patrol and engaged armed rubbers in gun battle. He was due for a promotion and coupled with the act of bravery, not common with very senior officer, he showed while as a Lagos State commissioner of police. In other hand, Ribadu has never arrested a drunken nuisance as police officer before he was showered with promotions in anticipation of the skewed political biding he has to undertake.

@mamajama

If you were ever qualified to seat for JAMB examination in Nigeria, I am 100 percent sure that the year you sat for the test an Igbo chap had the best result. Please ask your parents what agitated quota system in the jungle called Nigeria. For an example, the British Royal military academy was dominated by lads from Igbo that the Belewa government was forced to absorb rejected northern Nigerian cadets from Canadian Royal Military academy as 2ndLTs into Nigerian army. In the academic scene, a shameless federal minister had to inject element of ethnic bias into Nigerian academia. In the early hours of Nigerian independent, the public service sector was dominated by the over-qualified figures from one certain ethnic group that gave birth to the phrase –tribal domination. Anyway, based on the poster’s inadequacy in the area of social order, I shall cut him a slack for remembering that Ndigbo had wonderful business acumen. However, I still could not believe that someone is so moronic to flaunt massive ignorance in a public arena like this forum.
Politics › Re: Efcc: Put Yourself In Waziri's Shoes by Dede1(m): 6:04am On Dec 20, 2008
Nuhu Ribadu, ex-chairman of EFCC, is a fraud who has added a colorful and wetted feather to the bad image of graduates from Nigerian universities. The straggler is presumed to be degree holder from one of the universities in Nigeria and yet woefully failed to rescue him self from the insidious setup when he was promoted from DCP to AIG without catching a mere public nuisance. He knew all about the Police Service Commission and chose to bid politically for Obasanjo. I could not believe the fact that many Nigerians are politically blind. By the way, an average qualified Nigerian could be appointed the chairman of EFCC and I do not think that the position is exclusively for people in the uniform.

Quote from debosky on December 18, 2008
So that was why I switched on to Channels and saw Sam Egwu at the Senate clearance.

He was being asked how he felt coming before the Senate of the National Assembly, bowing before the president of the Senate and asking to be cleared to be a minister of the Federal Republic.

An exaggerated summary of the discussion went like this. You were governor of Ebonyi State when Pius Anyim was president of the Senate of the National Assembly. The chair before which you have taken a bow is occupied by the president of the Senate, the country’s third most distinguished  personage.

That chair was occupied by one of your own, a distinguished senator from Ebonyi State. Anyim Pius Anyim suffered all forms of indignities in your hands.  You harassed him so much he discovered that his home which would have been a safe haven had become the hell he had to run away from.

Because of you, he did not ask to come back to the Senate because you ambushed him at home. Even in Abuja, you hounded him from pillar to post and may have influenced the destruction of his house by El Rufai, acting on orders from you-know-who.

Now, before our very eyes, you are bowing in front of a chair whose occupant you did not hesitate to destroy. Can you tell the distinguished members of this hallowed chamber why they should consider you as a fit and proper person to be endorsed to assume office of minister of the Federal Republic?

Sam Egwu may not have expected that type of frontal attack, but he was not to be outdone in countering with an explanation that would persuade the distinguished senators to forgive him his trespasses and save him from the embarrassment of rejection.

He may have heard of the story of a nominee for office of minister in the 80s who was asked to recite the second stanza of the national anthem and was so embarrassed he forgot which was the correct anthem, the one that says tribe and tongue may differ but in brotherhood we stand; or that which calls on all compatriots to arise and obey the call of Nigeria. He produced a smile that may not have emerged from his heart but was meant to put the lie to the claim that he ever had anything against Pius Anyim.

He said Anyim was his brother. That is not that they had the same father and mother or that they came from the same village or senatorial district. But that they were quite close. They shared the same dreams, being in the same party, the Peoples Democratic Party.

They attended the same church and even when there was some little misunderstanding, their mutual friends sat both of them down and they shook hands and shared kola nuts and palm wine.

You may have seen some drama in the way I have told you what happened at the Senate, and you may have identified some touch of humour and light-mindedness in the telling.

Which, to you, ought to have improved my appetite! But what followed was what killed my taste for food. Sam Egwu was telling the Senate of the National Assembly, the highest law-making body in the land, that there was what they called the Ebonyi formula which ensured that they won all the seats in Ebonyi State for the PDP.

He said he orchestrated the scheme. He said he handed electoral materials to the senators and left them to moderate the elections in their electoral districts so that they could choose who they wanted to win elections from those districts!

He said he did that for Pius Anyim as he did for other senators. If he had had any serious problems with Pius Anyim, he would not have handed the electoral materials for his senatorial district to him.

With a word like Nigeria, it appears sense has lacked the common part of it. What has political disagreement between the Sam Egwu and Pius Anyim got to do ministry of education? I had to be assured that the goons at the Nigerian Senate are not insinuating that the office of the senate president is now the embodiment of Nigerian education. Any state governor can have political row or disagreement with the President of the Federal Republic of Nigerian talk less of a mere position of senate president.

This deliberate display of political immaturity by the members of the senate or its subcommittee as being highlighted by the previous post magnifies the mockery of democracy by Nigerians. Instead of posing questions on the ability of the education minister-appoint on how to improve education in Nigeria, the loonies were trying very hard to make their position in the senate relevant. I am completely flabbergasted that a budding Nigerian had the arduous impetus to post this crap on this board. Nigeria is really a geographical expression.

By the same token, there were delusional minorities who still favor the old regime. By your post, there is no doubt whose biding you intend to raise.

I am glad to read from your post that you registered your political opposition to the very method employed in dismissing the regime of Saddam Hussein in Iraq.
