If GEJ’s ambition to remain president of Nigeria come 2015 will lead to breakup of Nigeria, I am spiritually and mentally in support of such wonderful ambition.
Politics › Re: Edwin Clark Prevented Igbo Presidency & Caused Escalation Of Boko Haram Violence by Dede1(m):
NorthSharp: 1. I am sure you know fully well that you are being both dishonest and mischievous by describing your Igbo brother Ndu Chuks as a "total and COMMITTED Core Northerner" in this post; just check our exchange on this same subject matter, find out what you YOURSELF had previously conceded as to his Igbonness, and come back to me.

2. In as much as I would detest any threat of use of force from any section of the country against any other section, I find it even more objectionable how you Igbo posters turn your apparent PSYCHOLOGICAL DISCOMFORT at having to deal with A BONA FIDE IGBO POSTER (who may even have MORE Igbo blood running in his veins than some of you) simply because he so openly and vigorously rejects your largely insincere agitation for the creation of Biafra; what is even more detestable is the way you indulge in your ESCAPIST rejection of this LEGITIMATE SON OF NDIGBO invariably by bashing the Hausa-Fulanis.

3. As I stated in my original post, I am sure if Ndu Chucks were to join a Hausa-Fulani/Northern discussion forum today, it would take only a few posts from him for us to find out that he is NOT a Hausa-Fulani or even a Northerner.

4. Just as I cannot find "ONE (other) Igbo who reminds us that the Nigerian airforce bases are in the North, or that the jets taking off from those bases would obliterate Igboland (PH ) or Warri", I am sure you too CAN NOT find ONE Hausa-Fulani on this forum who would do so; in fact, the way he specifically mentions WARRI AND PH as targets for his hypothetical air strikes, coupled with his apparent beef with Clark, ONLY RE-ENFORCES HIS IGONNESS!.

5. Now, let me give you my own challenges; as faceless as this forum is, can you find ONE Hausa-Fulani poster who uses an IGBO NAME in his moniker, just for the fun of it, and sticks to it so religiously, passionately, proudly and for so long?

6. And if I may repeat the other challenge to you, and to all Igbo posters (including Ndu-Chucks), can you name ONE Hausa-Fulani or Northerner (or any NON-IGBO for that matter) who would so proudly state on a public forum like this that HE/SHE HAS IGBO BLOOD RUNNING IN HIS VEINS if that is NOT the case?

7. It is clear that most of you Igbo posters only reject YOUR IGBO BROTHER on NL Ndu-Chucks)PURELY ON IDEOLOGICAL GROUNDS; you find his strong pro-Nigerian views and anti-Biafran stance so discomforting that you feel you need to find a psychological, escapist way of banishing him from the Ndigbo fold!.

8. But as Sam Ikenna has rightly pointed out, Ndu-Chucks is a nice and lovely person, and I personally consider him as one of the best-informed, most objective and most detribalized posters on ND. However, you Ndigbo on NL, most especially you as their Eze, have to accept that HE IS YOUR IGBO BROTHER, shi ke nan (note how I write it, not 'shikena'! LOL)
If you keep insisting being Hausa-Fulani, which apparently does not exist, I shell regard your post as a thing of Nigeria which is completely valueless. Other than the idiotic political lexicon within the cesspit called Nigeria, there no reasonable place that fashions such nonsensical phrase, not even in neighboring Republic of Benin or Cameroon. A poster had early asked if you are a Hausa or Falani or Nupe or even Kanuri as we know them in Nigeria but chose to ignore the question.

Ndigbo are not rejecting anybody for any reason and certainly not because ndu_chucks is allegedly opposed the idea of disintegration of Nigeria or actualization of Biafra or formation of Republic of Igbo land. In any political matter, the people of like-mindedness tend to form bounds even if he or she is not Igbo. There are Ogoni peeps that would rather have Biafra than Nigeria. Folks such as ndu_chucks have choice to make when Biafra is actualized. They can leave the entity known as Biafra or drink poison.
^^^^ A sensible post devoid of tribalism. The bolded above is the bane of current day Ndigbo. Unfortunately, the electorate prefers to avoid discussions such as the one started in this thread, which could expose these politicians, to avoid being critical of their tribesmen.

I can understand why posters like PointB would prefer to change the subject and Sam_Ikenna, who is usually an epistle writer, would reduce his post to a one-liner - their condition is pitiable and frankly shameful. I venture to guess that the SE governors will rig 99% of the votes for PDP once again.

@Naijaking, I see you are still a Maradonna wannabe. Nwanne m continue dribbling yourself, I said Clark cause escalation of BH violence, not that SS created Boko Haram. You have out done yourself here.
You dropped the ball big time with this thread. Of course, I had to agree with you that disintegration of Nigeria can never be peacefully but treat of non-existence air force is a practical joke. Most of the air force planes will not be able to takeoff from the base. Even if they do takeoff, there are many shoulder-held stinger missiles and launchers that would waste those trainer aircrafts in Nigerian air force arsenal. The best fighter in Nigerian fleet is Jaguar, a post WWII British attacker plane.

Again as for the idiotic Edwin Clarke, who was nobody like Adaka Boro until Gowon and deluded Nigerians of 1967 pushed them to recognizable scene, he remains an insignificant entity.

I could not believe my eyes you were all over the crap posted by doctokwus like houseflies over human feces. It is unfortunate to read the level of human value you espoused on this thread which is dangerously low. Does it mean in today’s Nigeria any lapper who happens to win any election by any fathomable means becomes Igbo elite and leader?

It must be politically or socially reiterated that any blue-blooded Igbo chap that hunger for the nonsensical presidency of Nigeria should be shot.

jason123: I am not vast in history but Dede1, I humbly ask you, was there not a Southern and a Northern protectorate? How come the Northern protectorate is intact while the Southern protectorate is not?

Why in this world did the Southern protectorate join the Northern protectorate? Were they not asked to vote? What happened during the vote? What happened after the vote? What happened to the smaller (number-wise) ethnic groups in the East and West, infact, mainly the East because the West allowed theirs to separate?! Why did the Whole East not support Boro when he wanted to secede but expect his support when they wanted to secede? Let us be honest for once!

Answer this SINCERELY and we might right some of the wrongs done to eachother in the South!
I consider you a literate and hope you can embark on exploratory research about Nigerian history without bias. The people of the protectorates (in assumption the people were being protected by Imperial British Empire against pillage from other European powers) had no say about manner, shape or way the protectorate will form.

The intact or no intact of south/north protectorates had a long way muddled in fear, jealousy and envy. The northern region was once in command of cash and revenue resources from groundnuts and tin. Suddenly cocoa and timber arrived onto the scene with western region in control at the same time displaying sense of self-centeredness. Eastern region was not much behind either with coal, iron ore and palm produce generating revenue.

The western region’s self-centeredness came when Shell D’arcy and eastern region ran into financial problem as Shell threatened to abandon further exploration since two wells in eastern region were hindered due to state of art of equipment to drill. Shell and eastern region sought financial help from western and northern region. Northern region responded favorably while western region announced it was broke.

Problem which engulfed the protectorates, region and Nigeria started the moment crude oil was struck in commercial quantity in Oloibiri in 1956. Due to the promises and signs from the exploration, eastern region wrote elaborate economic development plan for the region. In a bid to destabilize eastern region, Adako Boro nonsensical shenanigan was born. Adaka Boro was nobody until Gowon made him one. After Boro’s stupidity in the region, NDC lost every seat contested in both regional and federal elections except one.

@OP

It is an essay brilliantly written with displays reserved for artful dodgers. From the tenant of the first paragraph, author discussed everything humanly possible with his friend but Nigeria/Biafra war. Also, he failed to state facts correctly. For example, Oloibiri is not the first place crude oil was struck in Nigeria.

In the middle of the essay, the author realized there are no bases for Nigeria to stand as nation. I am happy the author understood the seed of discord had been sown under the manipulation of Balewa and Gowon that it is an arrant nonsense for lappers to keep dreaming about coalition of southern Nigeria.

When has it become crime for a person to express bitter experience from a political violence? Why create segregation among an intertwined Nigerian diaspora in London?

What is biafra, and do you guys know where your new biafra will start and end?

Why not start your radio biafra propaganda on pirate radio stations in Nigeria, before trying to destroy the unity of Nigerians in London??

Ah well, let's just hope the relocation isn't one big ego trip, though. Emphasis on 'hope'. wink
Bearing in mind Okorocha is a self-styled education governor who had left the people of Imo State with promise of three new universities. Any reasonable fellow would have sought to know why the so-called education governor insists on moving a university already in Owerri Zone to Ideato South LGA. There are more than 5 LGAs in Owerri Zone that can comfortably house IMSU yet the insensitive Okorocha pushed to have the university in his village.

If Okorocha is bent on moving existing university from Owerri Zone to Ideato South LGA, where is he going cite the three new anticipated universities?

This post is full of nonsensical talks only found within the confines of the jungle called Nigeria. I hope we have lawyers among us on this forum to explain if it is the function of retiring Chief Justice of the federation to nominate or appoint his or her successor. As a layman with little inside information about the bar and bench, I know there is seniority hurdle within the bench. I also believe the president can appoint CJN from pool of judges in the Supreme Court or Court of Appeal.
Politics › Re: So-called Tribalism Is A BIG LIE by Dede1(m):
You should take Imo for example, where some divisive 'opposition' criminals and their fickle, gullible followers are crying because their governor Okorocha is building the Imo State University permanent site in Ideato South - an area considered 'Orlu Zone'. Since its announcement, this foolish bunch has been threatening blood and guts, should the school be moved out of the 'Owerri (senatorial) Zone'. And I'm asking myself, "no be the same Imolite everybody be again?"
And let's not forget the states of Ekiti and Ebonyi, which were carved out 'in response' to the 'marginalization' meted on them by their mother states.

I swear, Nigeria is loaded with so many confused people undecided
Bros, you are definitely wiser than this post. There is what we call conflict of interest in any human endeavor. In developed countries, no sitting governor will even dream of any action that would arouse the thought of conflict of interest among his/her constituency.

The governor is from Ideato South LGA and planed to relocate the University Campus to his LGA. If the governor is from Okigwe Zone wants to relocate the Campus to Orlu Zone, people would have given him/her the benefit of doubt. I have promised not to write anything about this Okorocha fellow until he completes the first term in office.

The problem with Nigerians is their inability to call a spade a damn spade.
