Even nollywood that igbos claim they started o( which is a blatant lie anyways) is now dominated by Yoruba(even the english speaking movies) while we've ours on lock.

The longest comedy series broadcasted over west Africa was conceived and still produced by wale adenuga

The highest grossing movies in Nigeria are Yorubas brainchild(talk about afolayan and ayo makun)
The best movie producers, actors and actresses in africa are Yorubas check amvca awards list.

Let's not even talk of the music industry.
We need to leave Nollywood and create our own. Nollywood is nonsense

Nobody needs to be in doubt that the north wants to status quo to continue so that they will continue to cheat at everybody's expense.

The truth is that the north does not have the ability to stop us from living freely in our own land. So, no matter what they say or not, we will forcefully manage our own affairs because they will never accept to any fair or just arrangement.
Excellently written!!

coptic:

Diversity is a strength everywhere, whether in the workplace or societal settings.

A heterogeneous group is better at handling a range of complex challenges than a homogeneous one is. Our larger diversity of backgrounds, skills, histories, and talents make us better equipped to deal with difficult and unpredictable problems.

For instance, the Yorubas are good at education, technology, finance and entertainment. The Igbos are good at business and football. The middlebelt is good at farming. The Fulanis are good at cattle rearing. Not forgetting the mineral deposits in the Niger Delta and their educational levels. The Hausas are good at trading and traditional medicine. That's something. On the other hand, a homogeneous group is similar in a lot of ways. So you often find that they largely tend to have similar strengths and weaknesses.

Look at America and you would see the potentials of a diverse group.

It's just that in Nigeria, we have failed to realise even the smallest of our promise.
Mtcheew! How has your diversity contributed to your country development?
Heterogenous country dont develop like homogenous one!
This is a fact!
Yorubas are good at technology and finance but crude oil is our main source of income. While homogenous countries like south korea, japan, germany, norway, netherlands are doing better right?
Igbos are good at football but we are ranked at number 38 in the world!
The middle belt are good at farming but yet we import most food to this country.
Please remove those cattle rearing nonsense. How has that contributed to the economy? The herdsmen have killed many indigenes because of cattle rearing. Can that happen in an homogenous society?
Lastly, america has been able to manage its diversity because it is a country of migrants! Nothing more!
If diversity is very good then let Germans, Italians, and French people live in the same country like the way you have Yorubas, Igbos and Hausas in Nigeria; let us see if they will not have 3rd world war.
All what you just wrote is bull-shit that we have been hearing since i was a kid.

Diversity is not our strength. In fact, diversity is our weakness! This is the lie they have been holding for 60 years. From generation to generation.
We are not compatible and we must accept that and stop deceiving ourselves.

This old foool should better shut his useless mouth. Foolish man. He is one of those eddiots that kept Yoruba people in this country. Assuming he never fought to "keep Nigeria one" but instead assembled some young Yoruba soldiers like him to declare a separate Yoruba country, we would have been far much better than this today. The eediot is yet to realise the stupid mistake he and some stupiid Yorubas made 50 years ago. The Nigeria you all killed yourselves for, tell me how far it has gone today.
Crazy old foolish man should shut his mouth. Nigeria will separate and he must be alive to witness it.

If you say so, but I think you should respect their decision, the op an itsekiri man acknowledged the fact that itsekiri is a dialect of Yoruba, he even said his ancestors migrated from ijebu, truth is that you can't separate itsekiri from Yoruba when it comes to language, but they choose a new identity. let us not fight over this.

@deedeee3 I doubt if you have ever met with any itsekiri man b4, see the way you they throw jab give itsekiri people, some itsekiri's are pro Yoruba have met some even Here on nairaland e. g asaimaigho is pro Yoruba, while some are pro ND, so it's left for them to decide if they want to belong to oduduwa or not
Mr, i did not throw jab at anyone. All i am saying is itsekiri should be allowed to make her own decision, but to be sincere with you, i wont like it if they decide to join us.
I got no beef with them though

That was the same way you were also trolling in that thread about Kogi Yorubas wanting to re-unite with the West.

What exactly is your problem?
You are a big fool! Point to where i asked okun people not to join us? I only said they can have a referendum if they want to join or not! Nobody is forcing anybody.
We dont want anyone to insult us!

We are joining Niger Delta republic too.

Why cant we foucus on one language if we are one. Lets Dump English and use one native language...
No boss. We cant use one language. Let Igbos form a country and use their native language as their official lanugauge. Yorubas and Hausas should also do same. It is better like this. We are not united and can never be because we were forced into one country by the British govenment. Nigeria was not formed by us

To be sincere with you bro, ko ni da ti won ba join wa. They have given themselves another identity. There is simply no way they wont complain of being marginalized. This might hinder is from progressing. Besides, not all of them are directly from Yoruba; some descend from benin people. That will not be good for the new nation you know.

This is what every Yoruba must accept. Itshekiris dont see themselves as Yorubas. Infavt some dont like us. They will only claim Yoruba when they have quarrel with other Niger-delta tribes.
Let them stay on their own jor

You don't need anybody to tell you that Nigeria is a failed state..
The citizens are the cause of it
They watch and fight each other along religious and ethnic lines while the elites are in unison looting the country dry with reckless abandon
They country is on auto pilot
It's heading for the hills
And the incapacitated man at the helm have refused to relinquish power
Do you believe that there are still citizens who go about defending Buhari based on religious and tribal sentiments
No sir, i beg to disagree. The citizens are not the cause but the system is. We have a lot of unpatriotic citizens in the country because of the system we have. This is also why we have corrupt leaders. We are to diverse and this diversity cannot let us focus on our development. Excessive diversity is also a bad system. This why we must split. When we split, we will have patriotic citizens; which will bring development.
Why do you think most European countries are mono-ethnic? After all the same Europeans created most of the countries in Africa. They are not stupid.

Smh. Guy, is that how much you hate the Okuns?? I wanna believe that you don't have comprehension problem, coz this thread is about the umbrella Okun socio-cultural group saying that they want exactly what you are saying is too late for them. Dude, you're not even one of them, yet you're talking crap like you know what's best for them. Na wah for you o.

You even derided them earlier by calling their part of the state underdeveloped, yet you don't want them to reunite with their brothers in other to better their lot. So obviously you enjoy their second-class and underdeveloped status so that you people can continue to marginalize them. But guess what? You are a joker. You don already fail coz they will be reunited with their kith and kin, and you will be alive to witness it. #Real talk. #Enemy of progress.

Who give a fuucck? Let Nigeria split once and for all.
We have three big nations inside this country that are bigger than most european countries!
We share nothing in common.
Yoruba language is different for igbo and hausa languages.
Our culture is not same.
Hisory is not same.
We must face the truth. The country is better seperated.

@AshiwajuForward and dee02

Let's all learn how to disagree to agree.

We can all converge at a middle ground.

Restructuring is the way forward.

Yorubas were enmeshed in a bitter civil war for decades until colonialists took over all our territories.

How are we sure we wont tow that path once again when we become fully independent and there are more common enemies?

Let us make the best of Nigeria.
I beg to disagree with you. Restructuring is not the way forward. Disintegration is. When we leave Nigeria, we can then restructure ourselves and control our border.
Forget Nigeria!
She is dead!
Oodua republic is what we need!
