My point is not whether op has the capability of taking care of her or not.

Read again and gain understanding.

Even Jesus Christ said God created some to be Eunuchs, some became Eunuchs and some chose to be Eunuchs. undecided
That child is probably much happier with having just the one she currently has. undecided
Kobo,

There's no point for arguments. But be careful how you bring the Bible into this so you don't mislead others.

When Jesus talked about eunuchs, he said, "some were made eunuchs for the sake of the Kingdom".

Op is not a eunuch neither did he adopt the baby for the sake of the Kingdom.

Everyone must not marry, but I still feel the baby deserves a prominent female figure in her life. And to add, the earlier op understands the psychological effects of growing up in a one-parent home, the better he will help her overcome these worries when they come.

Once again, good step op.

Kobojunkie:
Why? Because All children raised in 2-Parent homes turn out to be much better than children not raised in such homes? undecided
Relax Kobo. It has nothing to do with your sarcasm. I think the op understands my point from one perspective - having a female play a very prominent role in her life.

The other is psychological. It may affect the baby a little while growing up, but she may easily get over it when she's mature enough.

TMTR:
Like seriously I tire o, it's not a must for a child to grow up in a two parents home before a child can be " properly raised"
Her last report card, she was commended for good behaviour in her class so I am not doing a bad Job in raising her , my family helps me out a lot too
Were you raised in a one-parent home? Or were you adopted? You'll never understand the psychological part if you were not.

All in all, I think op is a good man and means very well for her.

Much as I'm saying kudos to you for this feat I still think it's proper to raise a child in a family setting - A father, a mother and the child(ren).

Consider this.

charles009:
Good people of nairaland,
Everything you are about to read is not fiction but certain reality.

At the heat of this DNA wahala, a married Ex called me on 6th of Jan to notify me that her son is mine and not her husbands. I remember vividly a certain Saturday in 2015, when we argued intensely over the paternity of the child during her pregnancy. She insisted it was her boyfriends, make una fear women. She swore she was single. Our calculations showed she was ovulating while we had some encounters. She proceeded to block me on all social media platforms and 2 months later, her friend informed me of her wedding.

The issue here is that I am married with two kids and expecting another, she told me her husband lost his job early 2018 and it has been a very rough patch for her family. she says she wants a divorce.

I asked for the boys pictures and it put instant tears to my eyes. Showed a few friends and the resemblance is striking so they said. The most painful of all, he looks not properly looked after.

I am doing fairly OK now, I wouldn't wanna to see my blood suffer, if you were in my shoes how would you handle this. My wife would not want to hear of another child...

Mature advise please...
You have two options: Either ignore the other lady and her claims or you tell your wife everything before making any move, if you value your marriage.

If you can get your wife on your side this will be an easy matter. If this revelation will threaten your marriage, completely ignore the other lady or get her to confess that she initially said the baby wasn't yours, for evidence.
FamilyRe: Child Discipline: Do You Believe In Beating Your Child? by deekseen(m): 7:32pm On Jan 02, 2021
chii8:
The thing is that when sanctioning an erring child, there are one million things to do to get them properly disciplined..it varies with each child, you just have to study them and know what works for such child.

I have a 5year old boy that what works for in terms of discipline is just to "quarantine" him(lolzzz),he will promise you heaven and earth just to be free, the thing scares him seriously.I use that to drive a point....I think it's same with every child just as a parent,be patient and fine out what works for that child....
Same for my 5 year old son too. That isolation gets to him more than anything else.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria's $1.5bn Loan Request Approved By World Bank by deekseen(m): 12:32pm On Dec 15, 2020
World Bank is officially encouraging all forms of corruption, looting and unaccountability by granting loans to a government that cannot account for past loans collected.

They borrow up and down yet inflation is still hitting hard on our economy. Our currency is valueless, the system is a big mess.

God help us.

You said it already! If you don't want alcohol, you negotiate with them. We saw one recently, the father gave her 5Alive.
Did he negotiate that with them but they still refuse? If yes, why? He didn't want to drink there, simple!
Na Anambra and Imo wedding.
I quite agree with you. But sometimes they may tell you that's what tradition demands they present. Well, tradition requires you to accept it, whether you drink it or not becomes quite irrelevant.

I think he doesn't take alcohol. If the palm wine is fermented then it contains alcohol.

I remember I told my wife that I was not going to take alcohol and they presented nonalcoholic wine instead.

It's so sad to say the chances of Trump winning can only be determined by the kind of permutations and combinations we do when we are hopeful for our Super Eagles to qualify.

We know it's still possible, slim, but possible.

Calling someone a racist and you're not any better.

Everything you wrote after labeling Trump a racist shows how deeply tribalistic and nepotistic you are.

This is a case of firewood stove pot calling gas cooker pot black.
