They tried, but why do they struggle to score a 2nd goal. We just manage score 1 & relax. That was what cost us 2 valuable pts against Zimbabwe with a last minute equaliser. Else we for dey 2nd now with 12pts. How many qualify from each group |

Tell me only one person in Nigeria or elsewhere that can face Tinubu kind of persecution and hatred and keep coming out successful and victorious all the time. Both in government, politics and personal life.
Anyway it's like u don't understand who is this Jagaban. I hve been studying him since 1999 and he never failed till today. God is gra8. You truly have no idea what the God sincere religious faith stands for. May heaven help you. Since you think that God is about corruption, theft, criminality, oppression and such. As for "withstand" that's easy for an insulated , pampered and protected president who has all your resources at his disposal. |

A bulldozer that didn't send both the elite or poor because u can never satisfied humanity, just do the right thing wether difficult or causing hunger is for temporary. This his visits to other countries this year is too small for a nation like Nigeria that needs investors. As I noticed each time he comes back is always a good news and good move and appointments etc.
God has blessed this ma so dearly. Someone like you will also agree that God has blessed Putin, Hitler, Trump, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Netanyahu, Kim Jung Un etc. And that God has blessed all the corrupt leaders of Africa stealing from their people and starving their people. Because for you, once a person has power and money, they are a person after God's heart. You can never know God with such a mindset. |

nairalanda1: The thing that caused Jonathan's loss, was the same thing that led to Shagari's overthrow
Let's go back in time
From 1973-October 1982, oil prices were on a sustained high, that Nigeria enjoyed, at least for the middle class upward, a high standard of living. That was when PAN was producing nearly 1000 cars a day, and when you could even buy foreign stuff here for cheap. Shagari took over when oil was still high, then in Oct 1982, they crashed. That led to serious economic crisis, which copuled with the corruption of the regime..which was always there but continued unabated...led to the army taking over and buhari ruling us. (Which should not have happened, but Nigerians overlook treason if they think they will enjoy better)
Flash forward to 2014, and then from 2008 , oil had been high (it went as high as 145 dollars per month that year). TImes were good, and then from 2009-14 it never went below 90 dollars, infact from 2011, it never went below 100 dollars. Times were very good back then. Then Deja vu....in April 2014, oil crashed. BY 2015 jan, we were in dire straits..no money for subsdies, salaries, etc...we were borrowing...because you see, for us not to borrow, oil has to be between 103-150 dollars per barrel. It was 80 dollars and falling.
And then there was the corruption in the regime, and monkey business, and then the percieved handling of the security issues in nigeria, where every attack by Boko was perceived as a plot against jonathan by the North, not as an attack on the nation.
I mean, see how the then first lady responded to chibok. See how Jona supporters framed the chibok attack. It was an attack on their man by a North determined to unseat him. It may have been, but it also made the government look like it was not working to keep nigeria safe, it was working to keep one man in power.
(Remember chibok was not an isolated incident...there had been attacks on schools. Remember that the attacks of boko were on muslims as well as christains. Yet, the government response was state sanctioned paranoia).
Result...Jonathan lost. And we got...Buhari again
And the thing is, we got another leader who was not ready to take hard decsions unless forced. Like his successor tinubu.
I don talk my own. I no dey support any Nigerian politican. For elections, I vote for the small parties. Twisted nonsense as usual. |

zero8zero: What nonsense is this one saying?, were you not insinuating "like OBJ, like US" before I exposed your ignorance. Because a national project is backed by an act , then it means it can not be completed by the wife of the President through public donations?. Those private individuals constructing their community roads ( public infrastructure) have become the private legacy of their families?. You and IQ are two parallel lines. There are provisions for its funding under the Act, Olodo. And yes, OBJ copied the US model, but corrupted it. Simple. You called the OBJ Presidential Library the National Library. It is not. Humble yourself an learn. They are different. |

Jakumo: Very true. Only in robust economies can women be influenced by romance and declarations of love. This is not to say, however, that paying for female companionship equates with prostitution. It only means that a man has agreed to support the woman who gives him erotic pleasure, so that she can, while living in a depressed economy, attain the peace of mind that is essential so she is not distracted by monetary worries while granting her man access to the promised land. Gbam! |

Are you not the one comparing OBJ Presidential Library with the US?. Is OBJ Library not privately owned?. Were you not insinuating that's exactly what is obtainable in the US?. Were you high on Agulu weed when you were talking? 🤣 Nah, not insinuating anything. OBJ copied the model but of course added the African dimension to it. Na so we dey do. Its still corrupt. There was a lot of hue and cry about the corruption involved at the time. This doesnt mean that its the same thing as the National Library of Nigeria. It is not. There is actually a law called the National Library of Nigeria Act and it has been amended in recent years. This is an Act of the NASS. It cannot and should not become the private legacy of the Tinubu family. |

zero8zero: It seems the naming is more of your problem than the completion. The national library that OBJ completed with federal funds and later privatized it to himself, what have you done about it?. Seems bitterness making you guys more confused. That wasnt a National Library, Olodo. That was a Presidential Library and not with public funds but with donations. Same way all ex presidents in the USA have Presidential Libraries set up for posterity. As for the naming, the Tinubus are free to name even the country Tinubunia. When they are gone we will reverse all the names. |

If the billionaires contribute towards it, it's still Nigerias gain Racheal45: I no like politician but I see nothing wrong supporting a government project Wallade: From the response of ADC party, they affirmed that the National Library was moved to TetFund for funding.
Why is the ADC not directing an inquiry to the TetFund on the situation with the National Library and the need to complete te project and run the national library through the TetFund especially when Education Tax which is paid by all companies in Nigeria is operated, managed and disbursed by TetFund.
If Remi Tinubu or anyone chooses to donate to the project of National Library, that should not be an issue to flog. . Olaide1295: It is FG's duty but she is raising money from her friends &well-wishers to do it. Is that not meant to be applauded by everybody?
I have worked closely with the wealthy and I have seen them get gifts they do not need on their birthdays. What Her Excellency is doing is simply " Don't give me any gift personally, gift the money equivalent to the National library " That's how they will end up naming it Oluremi Tinubu National Library of Nigeria. |
