And God dying on the cross for you to save you from the sin that would destroy you is barbaric as well? You are sinking in your sin yet you reject His extended hands of salvation, but condemn Him for leaving you in your destruction as you desire thinking you are more righteous than God who created you.
You know, it's truly remarkable how you are able to write "God dying on the cross for you" without flinching at the sheer absurdity of that statement. You write it so casually, and with such calm confidence, as though you are writing "oh, we all know the Earth goes round the sun."

You really need to reflect. Nothing could be more ridiculous than that statement.

The solution to this madness is to restrict or limit access to physical cash. People should embrace e-money.

Don't mind them. Most likely they are government workers or government apologies whose duty is to defend government policies at all cost. We have been removing petrol subsidy since IBB, and it seems the more we remove subsidy, the more money used for subsidy grows. During Obasanjo who removed subsidy twice, the amount spent was less than a N100 billion. During Jonathan with all the subsidy thievery and corruption, the amount on subsidy was about N3 trillion. Now under Tinubu who completely removed subsidy on the first day in office, the amount spent on subsidy so far is 7 trillion, and he had not even spent a full year in office. What this tell us is that as long as we import petrol, the money spent on subsidy would keep on growing.

I want you to listen to this presentation by PLO Lumumba, he eloquently elaborates on the miseducation of Africans and the challenges we face from colonisation and neo-colonisation.

Lets put it this way. How many people in the modern world say to themselves, "oh let me have many children because some will likely die?" Not many. And since this is the case, not many will be making any calculations based on improved healthcare either.

Mind you I haven't said some would not. It just would not rationally account for enough decisions to have an impact on global population.

...It does if you in fact reason it. People used to have many kids because they were not sure which of them would survive sickness and other issues. With better healthcare, you find that people are less inclined to have more kids as the survivability of the few they have is greatly improved, and so they can focus more on living their own lives even as they raise the few kids they have. This has been observed in much of the developed world. Look at places like Sweden, South Korea, Japan, etc. undecided
That's the reasoning I instantly attached to it, but I doubt that it weighs sufficiently numbers-wise in the modern world - i.e: not many families are thinking of having fewer kids on account of better health, as not many families are suffering a high incidence of infant mortality in the modern world anyway. That high incidence is mostly a thing of the past.

It will cost about 7 trillion to provide subsidy this year alone.
Oga, when the cost of subsidy jumped from under 300 billion in a few years to over 6 trillion, that should have been enough to tell you that brazen thievery, and not the subsidy itself, is the problem.

And so long as that remains the nature of Nigeria, be assured that any sums you imagine will be saved by the removal of subsidy in Nigeria, will be quickly and rapaciously re-looted, just as all repatriated loot has been re-looted. If you dont know and understand this, then you haven't started.

The fuel subsidy is keeping Nigerians poor.and impoverished.
The removal of the subsidy impoverished Nigerians far more than anything you are talking about. The drastic jump in the cost of living meant that every N100 each Nigerian had automatically became about N30. You really don't understand what has been done to the people, the hardship that has been imposed, and the thousands who have died as a consequence.

As far as the refineries are concerned, many trillions over the years have been allocated to them. All those sums were stolen and that is a function of corruption and not subsidies.

The people who preach removal of subsidies to us subsidize many things in their own societies heavily.

Read the Bible to know who He is. You are only defining Him with one side of the coin. A coin has two sides. God is a Shepherd and a Judge, He is both loving and terrible. Being selectivley blind to the other side of His nature is deception. He Himself said to fear Him. Jesus told you whom to fear. If God is all love, then why did He say to fear Him? Doesn't perfect love cast out all fear? So why the need to fear Him? The Bible said the demons know there is one God and they tremble.
The concept of eternal torment is barbaric.

Rather, the subsidy issue is a very sensitive one the handling of which has greatly impoverished millions of Nigerians in record time and killed many more people than you can guess. It is thus natural that people react vigorously to thoughtless and shallow comments on the matter.

In like manner, several policies of the FG have been painfully anti people. Such as the naira confiscation of last year and the ill advised floating of the naira.

Divine Revelation: Jehovah’s Witnesses Founder Charles T. Russell Is Agonizing In Hell.

In a true Divine encounter with Lord Jesus Christ, Evangelist Rodolfo Acevedo Hernandez from Dominican Republic was
taken into Heaven and Hell by Lord Jesus Christ.

While in Hell, Rodolfo saw the late founder of Jehovah’s Witnesses religious sect
in agonizing torment in eternal burning Hell fire. The name of the late founder of Jehovah’s Witnesses religious sect is Charles T. Russell.

Rodolfo Acevedo Hernandez Testified:

We continued walking in Hell and Lord Jesus Christ showed me a white man whose hands were stretched out and the surprising thing about this man is that he had a very fine sword inside his tongue and this sword crossed through his head and was coming out of his body.

His feet were grabbed by chains and his back was full of blades set in different positions in a way that no matter how he moved, he would be cut.

When I saw this man in this condition, I told Lord Jesus Christ, “Lord, please help him. Do something Lord Jesus. Look at the horrendous pain that this man is going through.”

The Lord asked me: “Do you know who this man is? “No, Lord,” I said. I saw how the knives got through his skin and then through the bones and how they came out of his body. The man only screamed in agony.

Lord Jesus Christ told me, “judgment against this man has been established. Now I am going to tell you the identity of this man.” Because of that revelation, the Lord said ‘You will have to run from city to city because this will cause you a great persecution but I will be with you.”

He went on to say “Rodolfo, this man is Charles T. Russell.” I said “Lord, who is he?” The Lord said that this man was the founder of the Jehovah’s Witnesses.

I pleaded “Lord, please help him” and the Lord said: “No, Rodolfo.” And as the Lord moved his hands, immediately I saw that many souls were falling into Hell in every way possible: they were falling head first, feet first, stomach first, etc.

Rodolfo, for that cursed man, all these souls are entering into Hell. This man taught that God was only a God of love. The Bible says that God is a consuming fire.

This man Charles Russell took the word Hell from the Bible and he took out all the words Sheol and Abaddon. Also, he denied the deity of Lord Jesus Christ and also denied the deity of the Holy Spirit and he put only the Word “Jehovah” in the Bible.

He took out Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. For this cursed man, all these souls are falling into Hell.” (Revelation 22:18-19). Then the Lord said: “I curse that man.”

Please Jehovah Witness that is listening to me at this moment, I don’t want to offend you. Get out of that sect and come to Lord Jesus Christ quickly.

I don’t hate you and I don’t hate your religion either but you are in a farce. Come to Lord Jesus Christ. He is waiting for you with open hands. Charles Russell is in Hell because he taught lies! Don’t follow his lies.

When we left this place, these prison doors closed and caught fire and this man Charles T. Russell cried and screamed and cursed Lord Jesus Christ repeatedly because Lord Jesus Christ said “The judgment has been set for this man.”
How you guys are able to make peace with the idea of a sadistic God that tortures people in the most horrific fashion is completely beyond me.

PastorAIO:
Well YHWH has demonstrated enough knowledge of the difference between Days and Years.

There are many passages when YHWH speaks of days and means days and similarly speaks of years and means years. It even translates between them.
Example:
Numbers 14
33And your children shall be shepherds in the wilderness forty years and shall suffer for your faithlessness, until the last of your dead bodies lies in the wilderness. 34According to the number of the days in which you spied out the land, forty days, a year for each day, you shall bear your iniquity forty years, and you shall know my displeasure.’

The hebrews went to spy in Canaan for 40 days. YHWH states clearly that they spied for 40 days, not years. for each day he punishes them for a year in the wilderness. And indeed, the myth says that the Hebrews spent 40 years in the wilderness. Clearly when ywhw says days he means days and when he says years he means years.

When it was prophesied that the messiah will die and be buried for 3 days then rise again it is understood to mean 3 of our 24 hour days. Not 3 years. So this your wuruwuru attempt at an excuse is just too pathetic.
Babanla wuruwuru!

My brother you can't blame them, it due to decades of deliberate miseducation and indoctrination by IMF and World Bank.
How subsidies is the source of corruption is part of their economic theories taught to Africans but not taught to Scandinavia, Europe, Canada, the Middle east and other western nations. In most of those countries education is highly subsidised. Even in Russia education is almost free up till university level. Food also is highly subsidised with heavy subsidies to farmers. The worst is CAPITAL. In all these countries, capital to entrepreneurs are highly subsidised. Imagine interest rates of 1 to 5%, and you get a moratorium of up to 3 years before you start repayment.
IMF and world Bank would never cite bogus white elephant projects as the cause of our problem, they would never cite our 70% recurrent expenditure to 30% capital, which is usually misappropriated anyway. They would never theorise that billions and billions of dollars that is simply stolen/transferred out of our coffers and deposited in their banks is source of our underdevelopment. All they shout is subsidy, subsidy and subsidy.
They know that plunging the mass of the population into abject poverty is the surest means of causing instability. They know that a poor, hungry man is a tool for causing chaos. They understand that poverty along with religion leads to insurgency, militancy and conflicts. They had the experience during the revolutions in Europe and America where the poor caused so much instability. If you know how much the US spent during the great depression and even during Covid19, to subsidise the masses, you will understand they have sinister motives when they preach anti-subsidy doctrine to us.
Thank for this good brother.
