Pro01 - you display an uncoomon and most rare talent for supreme daftness. Your views on this forum have always been imbecilic in the extreme and inclined towards the most irresponsible championing of mediocrity and imbecilic retardation. With people like you around no country can ever progress. You are a waste of time and space and your education is little better than that of a chimpanzee. You are a disgrace to literacy and you embarrass the very words you utter. I do not believe i have come across a greater m.o.r.o.n than you. I recall your eeediiotic attempts to defend ibori in the past. Son; you are a professional clown.

@ Rossike/ Pharoh: all the above applies in equal measure to you. Both of u were born specifically to be oppressed. Your views are spectacularly silly and betray your low self esteem. You are both worth little more than maggots.

Lol, myjoe, you have really cracked my ribbs! However for the sake of we the masses, we soldier on with the questions to your candidates.

MyJoe:
Sir, it appears you do not know the meaning, or better, the connotation of the word "statesman." For if you did, there is no way you would apply it to that antediluvian recidivist.

Moreso, you shock the electorate with your lack of political savoir-faire. Referring to that maggot as your "father," especially when you hold the trust of the public as president is simply low. Nothing else but low. Especially since you also referred to him as your "mentor." Pray tell, what has he been mentoring you on?

This is why I hate debates, interviews, town hall meetings, and the like. People are always misquoting you. I never referred to General Babangida as my mentor.
YOU SAID SO SIR. YOU CALLED HIM YOUR MENTOR: HERE -

"Babangida is like a father to me, even in my days as a deputy governor and later as governor of Bayelsa State, I used to consult him"

http://tribune.com.ng/index.php/news/18003-i-dreaded-contesting-against-ibb-jonathan

If this is not a statement of mentorship, i wonder what else is. What do you call a father figure who one consults for advise?

Sir, shall we add the word 'mentor' to the steadily growing list of words that you obviously do not understand?

You are desperate to curry the favour of anybody and everybody in order to win an election, and in that desperation you cuddle up with demons such as IBB whereas if you were discerning enough, you would realize that he is politically irrelevant in the current dispensation.

You stir up revulsion with the pathethic nature of your lack of ethics. You have no courage, and you stand for anything and fall for everything. YOU sir, are a pathetic excuse for a leader.

You are getting it wrong. I am the president of all Nigerians. It is my duty to consult with everyone and get the views of stakeholders in order move the country forward. But watch your tongue. You are talking to the president and commander in chief of the armed forces of the federal republic of Nigeria. Don’t take democracy as a licence to insult the president. If it was during the military regime you would be jailed by now.
Babangida and his journey men in the path of perfidy are the 'stakeholders' you deem it fit to consult with?

Ok then, how come you are shying away from "consulting" with the larger public through the instrument of an independently organized debate? ? ? ?

Some consultation indeed.

We can start with ya wife for one. Not to speak about the hellish lot that you hang about with.

What? My wife? Has she ever been charged with, much less, convicted of any crimes? Look, there is a law on libel! Be careful.
I need not await any official charge to make my comments: seeing that no charge will ever come under your watch, not so? The fact remains that under the constitution of Nigeria there exists no office as "office of the first lady" and in wanton disregard for this, you have continued to fund the activities of that illegal and grammatically deficient office with public funds. That is nepotism and misapplication of public funds and is impeachable.

Are you saying the BON is not an independent body? Is BON now owned by the government? If you want to attend debates organized by every Mfon, Dick and Boma, that is your business, but the presidency of Nigeria is an exulted office.
How is BON independent? The same way EFCC and co are independent? Shio.

The fact is that your campaign team demanded to have advance copies of questions from NN24! Once this was refused, you ran away with your tail between your legs like the reprobate coward that you are! For a PHD holder this is disgraceful! How dare you even conceive the thought of demanding advance copies of the questions in a democracy? ? ? Are you incapacitated or something?

[b]I, too, have heard rumours about Otunba Gbenga Daniel.
Rumours? Is the arrest and asphyxiation of the legistative arm of government in that state a rumour? The several public 'fights' between him and the speaker are rumours? The published photographs of unclothed legislators taking oaths of allegiance to the same person? Please joor. Choose your friends more carefully.

You don’t know what you are talking about. You are not in government, so you sit at some office in Victoria Island (my SSS director just gave me your office address) typing away and thinking you know something, whereas you know nothing of the relationship between the foreign reserve, the ECA and the SWF. And by the way, the foreign reserve is not totally depleted as reported by some newspapers. Yes, we have spent some of it on developmental projects. We now generate 4,000 MW of electricity and I am sure you have noticed the improvement where you are. And due to the massive investments we have made into the sector I can tell you that within the first 6 months into our new dispensation, by the grace of God, there will be 5,000 MW! Nigeria is cruising forward at great speed, and those of you who live outside the country don’t know what is happening in Nigeria. God has been blessing Nigeria and will continue to do so.
Gibberish, Sir.

The question was succint enough, and you might want to attempt it again. Perhaps i will break it down as follows.

1. What was the Reserve at upon your assumption of office?

2. What is it at today?

3. What has the price of oil been at during that period?

4. Can any difference be accounted for only by reference to a SWF that is yet to take off - especially considering that the Reserve is not the Excess Crude Account.

Your reference to 4, 000 mgwts is neither here nor there. Nigeria has hovered between 2, 500 to 4, 500 mgwts at various points in time in the last decade or so. You therefore cannot steal a march on us by explaining a depleted treasury simply by reference to 4, 000 mgwts! That is fraudulent.

If you do not know the political significance of having an ex-con jailed for corruption sit right beside you at your rally, then there is nothing anyone can do to help or educate you.

I see you don’t realize I am the president of all Nigerians and the TBS is a public place. It was an open rally held at a stadium, not a private party held in a hotel room. You need some schooling in elementary political science and fundamental human rights.
Suit yourself. Its not my image that's suffering as a result. It is yours.

What are you talking about? There are no coups anymore. The kuontry is back to full cfillian guovment. When I become fresident and Pastor Bakare become bice fresident there will be no room for laziness and corruption and indiscpline. Corruption will vanish. We will restore discpline.
Lol.

We did not kuommit treason. The kuonstitution was susfended, so no treason. We saved the kuontry from a bad guovment.
We must add "treason" to the rapidly growing list of words the meanings of which you are in stark and stupefying ignorance of.

The frophet used to flog bad people. I will not be brining it back, it has always been there. In Zamfara State, we flog those who drink alcohol.
Being a rabid masochist with tendencies to enjoy erotic flogging and the like, i guess i must consider relocating to Zamfara State then. Ooo, la la.

If you have any integrity like you claim to have, you would not gallivant about under the sponsorship of a champion of the corruption you claim to fight. Especially when you yourself stated that that champion of yours deserves to by in jail. I cannot conceive of a better definition of hypocrisy.

We fought corruption in this country. We jailed an inspector-general of police. That has never happened before. We indicted governors and other powerful people. When elected we will do more. It is because of corruption that you don’t have electricity, good roads and water. We are not being sponsored by a champion of corruption. We are being sponsored by the ACN and we have been receiving donations from Nigerians who believe in us.
Now that it suits you, Tinubu is no longer a champion of corruption who deserves to rot in jail, like you earlier said?

You are a comic, i tell you sir. These donations from Nigerians which you speak about, let me ask; is Tinubu a Nigerian, and does he also make donations to your party. From funds you yourself labelled corrupt, no? And yet you want to fight corruption. You reek of hypocrisy and insincerity. I laugh.

MyJoe:
Yes, I referred to Babangida as my father. He is an elder statesman. I am sure they have elders where you come from. In Africa we respect our elders.

Who? Can you name them?
We can start with ya wife for one. Not to speak about the hellish lot that you hang about with.

I don't know where you get your facts, or should I say rumours, from. We have never avoided any debate. We were not properly invited, or we were invited by people unknown to us. Election debates are organised by the Broadcasting Organisation of Nigeria, not some unknown bodies. Do you want your federal government to be dealing with faceless individuals? Do you know that before a president agrees to do anything with anyone it must be cleared by the police, the SSS, and the Army? We have always made this clear and we have always stated our readiness to attend debates. If you know who I am you would not have said what you did. My father was a debater. My mother was a debater. Even my grandfather, he was a debater. I won prizes at debate in secondary school. When I ran for deputy governor in Bayelsa State, I participated in debates.
Yeah, yeah, you want BON so you can censor the questions asked abi? Don't make us laugh, Mr. President, avoiding an INDEPENDENT debate.

They told me you are a lawyer. So you know the position of the Constitution on federalism. We operate a federal system in Nigeria, so the president cannot dabble in Ogun State politics. The House of Assembly and the courts are there to call the governor to order.
Obviously sir you missed the intendment of my averment. The intendment was to point out the propriety of selecting just such a man as you South West Campaign Co-ORDINATOR?

Ah, I forgot, vampires and snakes are your favourite bed-fellows.

Where did you hear we are witnessing decreasing reserves? We are not witnessing decreasing reserves. Don't believe everything you read in the newspapers. Get your facts from the CBN governor or from my office. What is have done is to close the unconstitutional Excess Crude Account to transfer the money to the more constitutional Sovereign Wealth Fund. Get your facts right.
The SWF is kicking off with a mere $ 1 billion. As at the time you came to power the Foreign Reserve was over $44 billion.

Secondly you seem to be mixing things up. I referred to the Reserve. That is not the Excess Crude Account.

It is disgraceful for a president not to know the distinction.

I did not exculpate MEND.
You did.

I was misquoted.
You lie.

Don't be ridiculous! Of course I have had nothing to do with Bode George. I was embarrassed by his presence at my campaign rally at the TBS. But what would you have done in my place? Drive him away? He was free to attend the rally like any Nigerian citizen and he did not make any speeches.
If you do not know the political significance of having an ex-con jailed for corruption sit right beside you at your rally, then there is nothing anyone can do to help or educate you.

I would like to ask Buhari -

The kuontry was drifting. Foliticians were not flaying the game by the rules. Fifo were corrupt - not staying on queues in Lagos, smoking Indian hemp at Fela's Shrine, littering the public space, and more.  We had to do something. We had to bring out the kobokos to whip Nigerians into shape. There is a Fulani froverb that human beings are like donkeys - they don't behave if you don't beat them. It was a collective decision of the Army. The Army called upon me to serve my kuontry and I had to obey.
Lol. Nice one. So i take it that as civilian president you will welcome the idea of a military coup against you if your administration is found to be 'drifting.'

Do you know what treason is? Are you aware that that is what you committed? Do you know that it is a capital offence?

I never said Muslims should not vote for Christians. And I never threatened to affly Shariah to Christians. I only said if Muslims want their hands cuot, it is their business.
As you like it, Ayatollah.

There was no human rights violation during our time. Only criminals and drug addicts were shot to serve a lesson to others. We flogged those who refused to stay on queue and threw pure water sachets on the road. We brought down crime. We eliminated corruption. Can you kuompare the crime we have today with the crime in our time? There was no corruption in our guovement. There was electricity.
So will you bring back flogging as a tool of civil correction of elected civilian president.

I am member of the ACN. I do not have the power to determine who becomes a member of the party. I am the one running for president, not Tinubu. When we get into government, we will invite technocrats from all over the country and abroad, across political parties. We will build a team that will mould Nigeria and make it the envy of the world. A vote for Ribadu is a vote for that team. A vote for your future.
If you have any integrity like you claim to have, you would not gallivant about under the sponsorship of a champion of the corruption you claim to fight. Especially when you yourself stated that that champion of yours deserves to by in jail. I cannot conceive of a better definition of hypocrisy.

I would like to ask the President -

- Why he would refer to an antediluvian recidivist such as IBB as his "Father" "Mentor" and a "great son of Africa"

- Why he would surround himself with the most corrupt elements in Nigerian Society

- Why he would seek to avoid a free and fair debate with other contestants (his PHD notwithstanding)

- Why the grossly illegal acts of the Governor of Ogun State have escaped his attention

- Why Nigeria is witnessing decreasing reserves at a time of increasing International Oil Prices

- Why he exculpated MEND from the October 1 Bomb Blast and is now prosecuting its leaders for that same offence

- Why as the symbol of law and order in Nigeria, he would yet celebrate and frolick with Bode George

- Why he has an illiterate wife, whilst he yet advanced his own education up to the level of a doctorate degree

I would like to ask Buhari -

- Why he thinks he should benefit from a democratic dispensation after commiting treason by truncating a democratic dispensation in the eighties

- Why he has resiled from his previously religiously-bigoted statements: notably his statements in the past that Sharia law should be applied in all states of Nigeria and that no Muslim should ever vote for a Christian (he was not a child when he made these statements)

- Why he had no respect for human rights as Military Head of State

I would like to ask Ribadu -

- Why he is frolicking with a man (Tinubu) who (whilst EFCC boss) he specifically and publicly stated deserves to be in Jail for Corruption

And you icon insults us all by congratulating IBB for that by using these words -

“We remain grateful to the people of Niger State for giving us a son that has made history in Africa, a son that had the opportunity to continue in office for at least four more years and nobody in the world would have stopped him, if he had come up with a transition programme that would last another four years,” the president said.

Christianity Etc › Re: Why Do Animals Die? Did Eve Feed Them The Apple Too? by DeepSight(m): 6:09pm On Jan 31, 2011
Animals die because it is in the nature of all physical matter to change form, to transit from one state to the other, because matter is not a self-existent property. Only intangible properties may be self-existent and thus eternal. Thus humans who live in the physical are not self-existent and are subject to change, growth, decay, transition, rebirth.

Forget about the myths about the apple which you have read. All physical beings are subject to deterioration because that is the nature of matter.

If you wish to understand that myth better, there are deeper interpretations that make better sense, but I will not bother you with them for now. You do not need them. Suffice at this: matter changes state and the being living in matter changes state for matter is NOT self-existent. Leave it at that.

I hear you bro: but what i am trying to say is that your effort cannot redeem the general image and reputation of the church in these matters.

If theism is not a religion, could you please educate me on the proper terminology to use in describing it
Theism refers to the generality of the worldviews which denotes belief in the existence of God. It is not a religion. Many religions are thus theist, but not necessarily all. Large proportions of Buddhism do not refer to God at all, for example.

^^^ That is not disputed. I thus wonder what you seek to acheive by attempting to whitewash the RCC in the instance cited above? Perhaps your aim is to render the church as not wanting in these matters. If that is your aim, it is eminently misfooted: and i dare say: a waste of your time.

This is pretty much like a corrupt politician writing a thesis to prove he did not steal $1 in a particular case - what good is that, if there are other records showing him to have stolen millions of dollars elsewhere: he wastes his time and his thesis.

How does this help to remove the myriad similar abominations of priests within the catholic fold: extending to acts of gross homosex.uality, paedopaelia, and the like. This is on dowsing another famous psychic phenomenon.

Like I said, I maintain a degree of skepticism. If there was good enough evidence for such phenomenon, I would change my mind.
And, you need to keep in mind that you are making a positive claim here so the burden of proof is more on you to demonstrate the veracity of these claims.
^^^ There are frauds in every profession. That does not take away the fact that there are proper originals as well. If the Intelligence Agencies and Police departments had found ALL the psychics to be frauds, doubtless they would not still bother with any psychic, would they?

Those channels i mentioned are very scientific channels that churn out stuff researched by science professors in the best universities in the world. I do not know if you are able to boast of the level of education and research of some of the scientists studying these phenomena. But you know how silly sheep are. They glean an interesting endeavour such as science and ignorantly become more catholic than the Pope. Some of the things you deny here would not be denied by the most knowledgeble professors in the world. Simply because they are exposed to all sides of the facts. Both frauds and genuine instances. But then again, i spoke about peeps wanting to be more catholic than the pope. Just cos they know a little psuedo science. Ha, psuedo catholic.

If you believe they are all frauds, please write a memo to the CIA, KGB and M16 reprimanding them for their obstinate stupidity in continuing to employ and pay such frauds.

Frankly i believe you are ill-educated in this matter. A little knowledge is more dangerous than no knowledge at all. That is your problem. You look to the frauds and pointedly ignore the many legitimate cases abundantly available.Like I said, there are frauds in every vocation. If you are not aware of the application of psychic powers in criminal investigations and espionage, then you are simply pointedly ignorant.

I have nothing else to add.

Your claims are not entirely true, many psychic detectives have been studied and most have been found to be frauds. In many cases, most of the evidence in favor of the psychic detective is provided to the mass media by the psychic rather than by an independent source so it is not a clear cut issue as you are trying to suggest. . . .

Here is an interesting read about psychic detectives and the methods they use or are using.
I will not argue with you because the facts are there: Police departments in the United States DO employ psychics - deny that if you dare. This is a fact. Also Intelligence Agencies the world over use the services of psychic remote viewers. Deny that as well if you can. These are facts and they speak for themselves. I will not bother to argue with you on this: you go and do your own research - it is a fact up till today that hundreds of psychics are employed by Police Departments even in the United States. Hundreds of them have solved cases with startling clarity. The nature of psychic information however sometimes means that the correctness of the psychic is only discerned years later. Just go and watch Crime & Investigation Channel my friend: instances abound in shocking clarity. Now these are Police departments in a scientific and technically advanced part of the world. Kid yourself that the instances do not exist: they abound: just watch Crime & Investigation channel more often, you will be amazed. I wonder to what you attribute these phenomena.

Not to speak of such other things as telephathy, remote viewing and others.

The CIA, KGB, M16, etc ALL have psychic remote viewers in their employment as of today. Perhaps you know better than these intelligence agencies, lol. Don't kid yourself son.

I think it's reasonable to have the intuition that it would be a bad idea to wander through a park in the dark. Predictive dreams? When one considers things like confirmation bias, poor memory and the fact that a great majority of the dreams do not come true or are impossible, then realize that the ones that seem predictive are not totally accurate and generally occur within the context of the time and place of the dreams, there is simply nothing special about them.
No son, this does nothing whatsoever to explain the phenomena of intutions and predictive dreams. Perhaps in my case I have an overload and perhaps that is why you cannot tell me otherwise. My dreams are a constant reel of events that play out shortly after in real life. I know very well that there is nothing in the strictly material plane that can cogently account for this. This is also something that many people experience.

We will be dishonest with ourselves if we claim that as human beings our notions and experiences in the world are limited to material things. The very consciousness of things that we acknowledge as existent such as love or hate are not physical things - and yet these are the prime things around which our human excperience is centred: not around hard fixed physical matter.

You are doubtless aware that even in teh 1st world, Police and Intelligence agencies currently employ a large number of psychics who have assisted to a tremenbdous degree in solving crimes. How does your strictly materialist worldview explain this?

What is a dead corpse? Is there such a thing as a live corpse?
Pardon me that tautology: but in reality there are living corpses: many living human beings who are dead on the inside are just living corpses, pardon the analogy.

Then a person close to me while alive? While who is alive? Myself? Or do you mean a corpse that died next to me? Or is it a person that I knew who died?

But it's a good thing that you've clarified this. To answer, I have not.
I do not pray that you go through such an ordeal: though frankly at some point it must come to almost every human being. My first absolute conviction about the nature of human consciousness and the human being as not being a physical body only came when i visited the Mortuary when I was 14 years old to see my Father's corpse.

The very first thing that will strike you is that the dead piece of matter you see there is not the living being that you loved and knew - absolutely not. They are as different as a fire and no fire. If you see such a sight: you will realize instantly that that dead peice of matter was a cloak, a house, for the living being that you knew.

Anyhow, you may have your beliefs as you please.

Great. This is more than I ever hoped to get from you. So you do experience intuitions and predictive dreams. How can such intutions and predictive dreams be explained within the strictly materialist worldview that you propagate?

I don't understand this question.
Come now, don't be afraid of the dark, little son. The question was simple. I only asked if you have ever seen the corpse of a person who was close to you while alive. In short have you ever lost a dear close one, and if so, did you see the corpse? Just tell me, and I will let you know why I ask.

1. Mr. Homer do you experience intuitions, predictive dreams, and a sense of self beyond your physical body.

2. Have you ever seen the dead corpse of someone who was very close to you while alive?

Gbam left right and center.

Honestly, I don't think our aim should be trying to 'reconcile science with religion'. In my understanding, Science is simply the quest for knowledge. Its aim is to understand the physical world all around us through observation and experimentation. Religion is also a kind of quest for knowledge -spiritual knowledge, a journey to understand the heart and soul and deeper purpose of life. And trying to apply one quest in the place of the other is what leads to the 'conflict' we see all around us.

In my opinion, a true scientist has no business or concern for that matter making declarative claims like "God doesn't exist. God didn't create the world". What experiments did he carry out to prove this? Is the business of science supposed to be commenting on the business of the intangible? the spiritual? Can you try to examine ice cores deep in the artic circle by using a crystal ball that was made in aba? Can you examine the moral inclinations of a mans heart using a telescope? The disconnect to me is that sharp.

And likewise, people of faith shoot themselves in the foot when they try to comment on scientific matters that they have no obvious clues about. If current carbon dating techniques puts the earth at billions of years, so be it. That is what we know right now and it may or may not change with technological advancements. How does this necessarily reflect negatively on your faith? whether the earth is 6000 yrs or 6billion, the bottom line to a believer should be that faith tells you God made the world - the atomic specifics of how He did so to me are irrelevant - leave that to the scientists!

Science should focus on what science can ascertain and quit commenting on matters far beyond its scope and reach - and likewise to religion.
This is just so correct, so simple, so brilliant, so wise, that I have nothing else to say. Very well said, Jesoul.

Please distinguish issues. The locking of the threads which i referred to is itself a distinct issue to be addressed on its own merits. That is not "support" for any form of unqualified subsequent madness, especially of the sort we have seen on this board of recent. But for pete's sake, sha lef me out of de wahala o.

Mudley has really destroyed this section. Perhaps mods should find some hi-tech way of sealing him out such as barring any entries from his IP-ADDRESS?

Its become worthless visiting this board. I suppose that is his objective anyway.

Faith is about testing, questioning, and doubting.
And I have just fallen in love with this bit - This is simply exquisite. He might as well have crawled into my heart, took notes, and came out to express these words in a way I never could. Beautifully said. Thanks a billion for sharing this Krayola!
