Loko40:If I were you, I will not bring in dependent at this critical time. Have you looked into the new policy just released as per dependent? Can confidently tell your self if faced with those options you can scale through with your kids?

Allschoolsinfo:If I were you I will not spend money in coming to the UK even if you have 100% school fees. The home office have mandated MAC to look into graduate visa with intent to discontinue 2 years post graduate work permit. Well it your money and your decision. I remember warning people to apply pause in to the UK thing but now they are here with reality of every day policy somersault. |
Ah, the government had the audacity to inform us mere mortals that there are insufficient funds to continue defending the naira, as if we weren't already aware of their incompetence. Instead, they've decided to squander 24 billion naira on funding hajj, evidently prioritising their own agendas over the welfare of the nation. Typical government mismanagement, I dare say. |
optm:Lagos Nigeria |
Hello doc, my mum is in her seventy’s and has been diagnosed of glaucoma and cataract. So , we are of the opinion she does the cataract surgery to see what progress we would have achieved. With this, could you kindly point to us a good hospital where she can have the surgery performed? She is currently scared of going through the surgery due to stories of those who got blind after surgery.Thank you |
004gist:Thank you for stating the obvious fact! I have consistently told people to apply a brief pause on the UK thing because chances of recouping your investment is becoming slimmer and slimmer. Jobs market aren’t what it used to be and schools too are no longer lenient. If you must come to UK , be sure you can fund your education 100% without working 20hours. This is just the truth. |
Hoelujohn:Well if you think so. But I will tell that route looks likely to be closed too. I mean people should invest more time in acquiring skills that is transferable and sadly carer role isn’t. That job is modern day slavery given the new rule.No sensible human will leave his of her family behind for peanut. |
Please people should calm down with paying huge resources into pursuing education into UK at this time due to uncertainties with incoming policy. 38700 income requirements is not funny and no employer will be willing to hand that money to fresh graduates. 70 percent workers in the uk don’t earn 38700 yearly let alone a fresh graduate. Why not put that money in training in IT or study in less competitive environment with better prospect that will get you job. Or pursue nursing in Nigeria and pass IELTS before coming to UK. The EU will very soon open talent pool that will attract skills all around the world which obviously includes nurses, we should prepare our self in such route. Lastly citizenship are easier to acquire in EU than UK and their rules are more stable. |

Can you please point to me outside Lagos and Abuja where non indigene participate in general elections? Thank you |
Iamzik:Aside Lagos, can you please point to any south west state that has Lagos indigene in their cabinet? Thank you. |
wirinet:could you kindly furnish supporting evidence, whether in the form of videos or links, illustrating instances where fellow Nigerians encountered impediments in establishing businesses within Igbo land or experienced unjust practices from hosts? However, it is imperative to comprehend the intricacies surrounding land transactions in Igbo land, shaped by cultural norms. I posit that the perceived hindrance may often stem from individuals neglecting the diligence required in navigating the prescribed procedures. To elucidate, employing myself as an illustration, I would initially inform my immediate nuclear family regarding the intention to sell land, in case any siblings express interest. Should no familial interest materialize, I would then extend the proposition to the broader family (kindred). Failing to secure a buyer within this circle, I would subsequently advertise to the general public, at which point, irrespective of nationality or ethnicity, anyone could engage in the purchase. |
Chinjo2:You too dey rate Nigeria |
After realising we have more stupid people in Nigeria, since then I made the decision to japa. I made the decision since 2015. |
Who advised Nigerians to vote Buhari? Is it not same tinubu? Reno omokri your head is paining you! |
ACRI:Why not try and understand the rationale behind the gesture? Obi started it continued by obiano and now soludo doing the same thing. The success is there for all of us to see. For the hospital, most government owned are often embezzled reason why he put the money in hospital owned by the church. It worked. |
plaindealer:I think people like you attacking this gesture should first ask how education works in anambra state before you begin criticism. Education sector in anambra have different model to achieve success and one of them is directly funding mission schools so that the citizens can attend such school at minimalist cost. Please note, most schools in anambra is owned by mostly religious organisations. |
pharmagba:you think floating of the Naira was a smart move? At least evidence of floating of the Naira is stirring us in the face |
uvie66:There are jobs restricted for only citizens. Most jobs abroad that are opened to foreigners is because they lack the numbers to man the establishment. All of you condemning soludo especially those from yoruba state should condemn tinubu first. |
teadrake:How many doctors or other medical professionals are from the north? I dare the north to chase the Igbo out of their hospitals and watch people die. On the other hand I don’t support what soludo did but again Nigeria is full of tribalism even championed by the government of the day. Reno who spotted the anomaly have lost his voice over tinubu nepotism but on full throttle to attack anything igbo. |
sotall:I swear I am more confused than you. I don’t even know which of the constitution that is correct. Every judge have different interpretation of the constitution. Abi should Nigeria constitution be rewritten in our local language for better understanding? |
kaymart:Do they have kids together? If yes, let him explore that route. He can’t stay away from his kids due to divorce. He will have same visa dependent visa status as his kids |
Dshocker:Imagine no USA , many countries would have treated their citizens has slaves. |
DesChyko:Look at the past questions of the 90s and now. |
tunjijones:I beg to differ. The exam questions are not as hard as before. |
saintrow1:You sound very empty gosh! What economic or societal benefits does waging a war bring this time? You have zero IQ! Let put it like this maybe at the end you thank me. If you are a family man facing financial constraints that hinder your ability to fulfill your obligations as a father and meet your responsibilities, you may often resort to borrowing to bridge the gaps. In this context, if your neighbor in the adjacent compound is experiencing marital issues, would you willingly involve yourself in their disputes? It is important to consider that intervening in your neighbor's situation could incur additional costs, which you would need to borrow in order to restore harmony. Given your existing financial challenges. Hope you know what to do. |
saintrow1:A country who can’t finance his budget without borrowing has no business fighting a war with his neighbour especially when the don’t pose any threat or danger. |
Penguin2:Tinubu is going to war Niger only for one single reason. With Tinubu's election being branded as fraudulent by both EU and US reports, his intention to gain legitimacy for his government in the eyes of the West becomes even more evident. He seems willing to go to any lengths to fulfill their expectations, presenting himself as a compliant ally, even in the face of Nigeria's challenging economic circumstances, which he appears unconcerned about. |
Alex1975:I encourage people to look in the direction of Europe instead of UK. What many don’t know is that, it easier to obtain European passports than that of the UK. A lot of countries in Europe are experiencing labour shortages. |
Alex1975:https://international.au.dk/life/studentscomingtoau/futureandcareer/extending-your-stay If looking for work, visit www.workindenmark.dk/ |
Hi folks,Denmark is having labour shortage and changing their policy to allow flow of migrants workers outside the EU. Also allowing students to stay three years to look for work. Uk with uncertainty is not a place to throw in huge money now. History about how they treat international students is something to be worried about. |
Rishi Sunak is facing demands from “red wall” Conservative MPs to slash the number of overseas care workers, foreign students and refugees allowed into the UK in time for the next election. The MPs from the 2017 and 2019 intake, who call themselves the New Conservatives, have issued a 12-point plan to cut net migration to Britain from 606,000 to 226,000 before the end of 2024. They include the Tory party deputy chair Lee Anderson, the backbencher Miriam Cates and the Ipswich MP, Tom Hunt, all usually considered to be loyal to the prime minister. The pressure follows party anger over official figures released in May that showed that total long-term immigration was at a record high of 1.2 million people while emigration was 557,000. The rise had been largely fuelled by people from outside the EU entering the UK to study, work or escape conflict or oppression. One red wall source said that Tory MPs in the north of England had been “hammered on the doorsteps” over immigration. “We promised a lot in 2019 about taking back control of our borders and time is ticking,” the source said. Measures put forward by the New Conservatives include closing temporary schemes that grant eligibility for worker visas to “care workers” and “senior care workers” in order to reduce long-term inward migration (LTIM) by 82,000. They also propose stopping graduating overseas students from staying on in the UK for up to two years to find work and extending the closure of the student dependent route that allows a student’s family members to access the jobs market. These two measures could cut LTIM by 125,000, the report claims. The MPs advocate only allowing in skilled workers who earn £38,000 a year or more. This could reduce long-term inward migration by 54,000 people a year, they claim. The measures have been criticised by experts for being over-simplistic and for being potentially damaging to the economy. In the report, MPs tell Sunak that a promise to reduce immigration formed a key plank of Boris Johnson’s 2019 victory, when the Tories made sweeping gains in former Labour heartlands, the so-called red wall seats. “Without swift action to get migration under control, the Conservative party will further erode the trust of hundreds of thousands of voters who lent the party their vote in 2019,” the report said. The group also says the post-Brexit system has been “too lenient” and is not working, saying that “mass migration is having destabilising economic and cultural consequences”. |
Another subsidy. Make we just dey play! |
