People that are advertising this bridge is giving Buhari credit for constructing it and you are hating GEJ who they claimed never did anything for the bridge, isn't it an irony?�If GEJ original plan for the bridge is for it to be tolled why then their hero did nothing about it? He modified the initial design but forgot to remove the toll gate yet they still want us to celebrate him and spit on GEJ. How much is the cost of the project Nigerian government can't pay? Celebrating a hire purchase bridge is nothing but stupidity.

Well I hated GEJ because at the time he launch the construction of the bridge was about same time he did that of Lagos Ibadan expressway, he didn’t put toll on the road but he forgot to remove toll on this bridge.How wonderful!

He did not forget anything because the bridge was to be constructed by PPP arrangement. That is pure wickedness.

Buhari administration told us that the money from abacha loot would be used to fund the Bridge but till date they have not told us if they have renegotiated with JB.

It is not unexpected for the APC to make a huge political capital out of this 2nd Onitsha Bridge project.



Some have already christened it the Mohammadu Buhari Bridge (MBB).




PDP frittered away the golden opportunity of being the party to have achieved this "feat" but allowed themselves to wallow in the euphoria that power at the centre was their birthright.




For years, this project was built on mere paperwork as it was highly politicized without any will to see to its completion.




On this, kudos to Buhari and the APC in spite of their many obvious failings.





I hope this will serve as a lesson for the PDP that, if peradventure, it finds itself in the corridors of power at any other time in future, they would make hay while the sun shines.

No kudos to buhari anything. Inasmuch I hate the contract signed to tolled the bridge, Jonathan had paid counterpart fund for project execution as well as Lagos Ibadan expressway. But APC chose to delay the project till this date.

Russian military is not overrated. The javelin and the stinger are proliferated in Ukraine. These two weapons can inflict a lots of damage on the stronger military on earth (US).

Anybody that believes the goverment of Lagos State would reduce what commercial buses used to pay from ₦3k to ₦800 unfortunately has to have his/education reviewed.

Since the new levy is across board what then happen to those that ply short distances and charge less per trip....you guys think if they pay this N800 they won't increase their fares. Most people often cite how they prefer the westernised lifestyle in terms of relating to in-laws but will not know how much our Africa parents put in to get us education without support from government. The counsellor needs to understand raising an average child to adult hood cost atleast 15 million naira and that's just feeding for 2 decades, clothing, and education, not to mention emotional and physical investment which can't be quantified

The least you can do for someone who spent over 15 million raising you through sweat and blood, is to allow your wife play with her and bond with her like a daughter especially when she's down and lonely

yes, I think $1000 a week not sure. and they have to be a good reason for funds transfer outside Nigeria or cbn will not approve it. (the are preserving their dollars) it happened to some one I know recently, $5000 wire transfer was rejected. (if for medical use or basic maintenance)

My family is all here with me . Can family maintenance be a reason for transfer up to 5k dollars?

I converted all my naira to dollars a year ago before I left Nigeria, and right now I don't see the need to maintain money residing in Nigeria bank. Maybe my explanation is better.

Please mind the way you view things . Not everyone is into yahoo nonsense. I am resident in the UK and I don't see myself coming to Nigeria foreseeable future. With the way the country us being run why should I trust leaving my savings in Nigeria bank? All I ask for is steps to close my dorm account in Nigeria. Mistake I made was not asking for bank card when migrating because I thought I would constantly send money into the account for my future.

What surprised me the most about this administration on how they boast of roads they have done compared to previous government yet I cannot see the so-called road.

For instance, Ibadan Lagos highway should have been completed under one year but it almost 7 years nothing much have been added. Jonathan administration completed half of the road reconstruction in one year .

I hate it when this govt attributes success of chasing boko haram to northeast alone.
