thanks sir, Or maybe am using the wrong tp and satelite position,am using 3800 v 20000 on 57e for tracking, am i using the correct tp.
Track with this frequency 03632 V 02625 its the strongest transponder...get a grey colour super max LNB if you can..then replace your di-electric plate with a glass of same size..That should solve your problem i guess

Dishtech: what about Badr 4/5/6, located at 26 degree east facing DSTV direction that contain all this MBC, ADM, JSC+1 to +10, and the rest?
it is also receivable on badr here in kano with signal strength of about 65-70% on 2.4m

tusmanali: aljazeera Bleep my show in fact wat coses all dis change of transponder sef? embarassedaljazeera Bleep my show in fact wat coses all dis change of transponder sef?
all these change of transponders is becos of multichoice........they are the one's behind it......that is the same reason aljazeera will keep writing that this broadcast is meant for only middle east and north Africa.....they are milking us dry here in Nigeria and they don't want people to have any other choice which is impossible as far as out of foot print satellite can be received.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Aljazeera Sport Has Won The Rights For Epl by Dejsam(m): 2:30pm On Dec 27, 2013
HAH: Watching jsc sports is illegal in Nigeria as they always broadcast during elp matches that the transmission is for middle east and north Africa. But I don't give a damn.
@HAH,

There is difference between official beaming to west Africa and out of foot print reception............aljazeera displays that its meant for middle east and Africa as a "DISCLAIMER" confirming that they are not infringing on anybody's rights.....if anybody is using a big satellite dish for out of foot print reception and can receive their signal they are not liable.......

dstv is being used in Egypt,chad,Niger,Morocco,etc and other countries they do not have broadcast rights why don't they also display a disclaimerhuh?mean while they are well aware of it........

canal plus that we receive here in Nigeria is not meant for us but we watch their programmes...same as sky italia,sky dutchesland,tv cabo,digital plus,nova and so many other out of foot print reception which we use massive dish to receive......

*****as long as these providers do have have official distributors in Nigeria and do not have official foot print for Nigeria or Africa they are not liable for nay form of illegality....thats why sky uk is officially restricted to united kingdom only but even when u are outside united kingdom u can still receive it.

the united kingdom do not permit the use of more than a 90cm dish if i am not mistaken.so thats why they are restricted to watch they can receive...but here in Nigeria there is no restrictions.....as long as you have your money for the dish and the land to place it.its nobody's business.

there is a construction company in Abuja will not mention the name here.......they have 3 satellite dish for out of footprint reception mainly for their expatriate staffs that are Italians and Germans....they have 9 meters facing astra 28 degrees,8 meters facing 13 degrees and 7 meters facing 19 degrees mainly used for sky uk,sky italia and sky dutchesland......

Note that NBC provides for freedom of choice for individuals to watch whatever pleases them at their homes.....no provider can impose her content on anybody in nigeria

HAH: I Still dey enjoy my epl on Aljazeera on Nilesat here in Abuja eventhough the transmission is for middle east and north Africa.
thats not an issue...even if it is for mars or jupiter............italians and germans working in nigeria pay subscription in their country and use the smarts cards here in nigeria to watch programmes in their native language .its not illegal

@pappy,
FTA is not necessarily for hungry fellows who want to escape paytv subscription, rather it is for those who are wise enough to understand that what ignorant people pay through their teeth for can be gotten free of charge with just a little bit of knowledge. It is that desire for freedom that differentiates members here from the ordinary smart alecs on the street who are only interested in cutting corners and using whatever illegal means to circumvent the likes of dstv, hitv, etc
Here, the emphasis is on gaining and sharing knowledge directed at breaking the stranglehold of shylock paytv companies irrespective of their location or orientation.
Ordinarily, most members here can afford to just go to the bank, queue up and dump money into the accounts of these paytv companies but they have chosen to rather channel such resources at experimenting and digging up knowledge for the good of all.
You seem to be just a passer-by going by the tone of your post so I think you will be excused for harbouring such misguided sentiments as you spelt out in your first post.

Meanwhile, your welcome to the best forum in nairaland.

FTA forever!

sky smartcard cannot work on strong 4910.u will even need to programme dreambox to use the card if u have one.and for a dish that will pick that signal.hummmmm, u can pick other channels on that bird,but that of sky uk, huh i doubt it.the only option left for u is sky italia on hotbird.

@irapada,

why are u using all those wires to hold your lnb together.why not get bolt and nut that will size it and make your job very clean.it will even make your reception easier.just a suggestion, but i think its better.then it will be better u get a combined c and ku band scaller.or even c-band lnb attachment scaller.u can as well get an original scaller for the fuji lnb u are using.

enjoy.

@ George_D

I beleive the focal length is okay. Tracking NSS7 at 97% means its okay (is that not so)

As i told u the barrack is beside my office and am not the installer, i only had pitty on the guy because he won the contract with ZERO experience and all other installers ran after days of fruitless effort and soldiers kept on asking o'boy which day u go finish.

It was only my friend who hit green with 48-51% which is still not enough.
@ jayron,

u must get 98% on nss 7 for ur confirmation of a good reception.anything less than that may not give u a good reception on a motorised set up.nss7 must be 98% which means 100% cos strong receiver will not wxceed 98%

@all,

this is a good news for us all in some few months to come

Arab Satellite Communications Organization (Arabsat) participates in The Middle East & North Africa Satellite Show (CABSAT) on 2nd-4th March at Dubai World Trade Center.

Eng. Khalid Balkheyour president&CEO of Arabsat, said that “Arabsat is always keen to participate in the specialized exhibitions to offer new services in the field of satellites business such as digital television, HDTV, broadband services and many other services in addition to highlighting the unique features of its satellites including the different coverages currently available or will be carried on the new Arabsat fleet. It is planned to launch two new satellites during the next two months, to expand the capacities of Arabsat fleet, to cover the entire African continent, and to provide emergency reserved capacities in orbit. Also two other satellites will be launched in 2011, 2012, respectively, reaching Arabsat Investments in upgrading its fleet up to $ 1.6 billion.”

@George D and All

Regarding my Nilesat tracking, no luck yet. I have been able to nail W3a and the quality was upto 60 on my 4653x and close to 70  on my daarbox.

What I will like to know now is do I move the dish (2.4m) futher to the right or left because the thing  is almost completely facing the heavens.

And also I will need a very strong TP(s) (apart from dubai 1 and city 7) for the nile tracking. (Please  the freq., pol, and symbol rate).

Thanks.
@ obijack,

make sure u dish is properly allined for a good track because with what u said u are getting on w3a for a start is too weak.at least u should have gotten up to 90 on w3.

i would suggest u track from nss7 then move down and left to nile.its more easier.u will hit green of 98 % on nss7.then move to nile with a strong t.p then u are in.

Enigma,
thanks for drawing my attention to the potential libel.i have edited the names just because of the respect i have for the great commentator,and not legal reasons.i got the info from a very reliable source when i was in naija.if you have any top multichoice manager friend,pls call him and ask about this.he will tell you the full story.i learnt multichoice protested to Sky but they had no evidence.besides,it was too late! it is just common sense-how did hitv know the amount dstv was bidding at if there was no leakage from the epl sellers.I like the spice this topic has added to the forum.it reminded me of the 3rd world war between Enitan and I.Unfortunately,he avoided me stylishly till I left naija even when I tried to lure him with fishes to LTV studios.I would have loved to meet my Saddam Hussein of the fta forum!I miss him no be small.

olofofo,
hitv was simply foolish and suicidal.i can liken their action to this scenario-it is like Yobe State Television outbidding NTA/AIT for the world cup transmission right! I had always wanted to mention this issue here but held back due to the prospect of libel or harm as mentioned by Enigma and Enitan.I know the extent the pay tv cabal can go to destroy any barrier.
In as much as I totally condemn piracy from CTL and others,Hitv should not make the mistake of instigating the govt to start banning big dishes and decoders.I see that as their next line of action.I remember when DSTV started,a lot of tv stations were hooking up to them for movies,music and football.i remember they sued OGTV,B.C.O.S.ibadan,and Delta DBS up to 10 times before they stopped the illegality.It was so bad then that  the last two stations would just take the local news and hook permanently to Supersports,channel O,and movie magic all through the weekend.the Lagos stations could not join in the illegality then because Multichoice would know immediately.This is one of the reasons laws dont work in Nigeria.govt stations did what CTL did!
I am waiting for the day HITV will start attacking us -owners of big dishes and fta decoders.oku a sun(dem go carry deadi bodi tire)!
I want all my silent ogas to comment on this issue-mide,twinstaiye,adewest,jujukemist,bigjoe,dejsam,gofitec,ifende,ekoonibaje,f-marshall,bodejohn,vickoy,etc.

Butoneday,
pls watch out for them oooo.your monster is a threat to the pay tv cabals.
@all,

To be really candid,htv has really made a mistake by really depending on premier league rights acquisition to make profits or sustain their business.so if their business is falling apart because their subscribers are no longer willing to pay subscription,then they are on their own.in my place over here,there are so may people i know that stopped dstv and hitv subscription to watch the normal fta when they discovered they have just been throwing away monies in the bin.fta set up over here is just like electric bulbs on the streets,it has become something normal like having an antena just outside ur roof.i think "spaceman" can bear witness to this when he came around and saw the way fta set up were hanged every angle u turn around to.i belive if htv guys can improve on the broadcast content,even without premier league rights,the sky is their limit.what are we saying here(just look at their picture quality nahhhhhhh), its is nothing to write home about.u have a look at just mbc channels ,dubai one,etc these are free channels with a broadcast quality even better than dstv broadcast quality."both in sound,clearity and picture quality"
going after local cable operators,viewing centres and hotels cannot solve their problems
