Are you a farmer or new in farming and thinking of areas of farming you can invest? i tell you palm oil production is a very lucrative business.
Now how can you establish your own oil palm plantation

1.the first thing is land: if you can acquire a good flat and accessible land, though oil palm grow in almost all kind of land.

2.After acquiring land,then you think of the best variety of oil palm to plant. There are majorly three varieties, Tenera, Dura and Pisifera. i tell you tenera is the best, it has been found more profitable because of its high level of oil production and also for kernel.
how can you get this tenera seedlings:Not just getting any tenera seedlings but quality high breeds. you can get it from us{iyakponfarm; iyakponfarm@gmail.com/07067671517}.we can also guide you on step to step processes to have a very productive oil palm plantation.
if you consider the cost of transportation of the seedlings to be a barrier, then you can get sprouted seeds from us and have your own nursery.

3.Spacing: spacing is as important as getting a good variety. your spacing must b adequate enough not to affect the yield, if the palms are too crowded it will affect the yield.
we have two methods of spacing, the straight line method and the stargging method. in what ever method you are using it must not be less than 7m, it is recommended you use 9m btw and within each palm.

4.maintenance/fertilizer: for your palm to do well, you have to do frequent maintenance, make sure your palms are not cover by weeds. Do ring weeding round the palm, ie at the base of the palm, clear to the ground 2m round the palm, that will help you during fertilizer application and also prevent grasscutter which is the major pest of palm.
After three months of planting apply NPK round the palm

I can understand why many will come on here and spew rubbish. For you to have internet access it means you have been well feed. Many of the kids that are beneficiaries of this gesture don't even get to eat eggs in a long time.

I think you guys need to get closer to the poor to realize that any gesture to towards the poor should be encouraged. Yes reasonable criticism is allowed. But to dismiss the claim of the government as false without any reasonable investigation shows we are worse than what we criticize.

Please stay away from Verso. A friend bought one and has spent close to 500k to fix the gear problem. He eventually had to convert the gear.

Don't try it. Solar energy is not for stuffs like these. the investment is massive and mark my words you will still need a generator.

Power utilization of the freezer is very key to what you wish to achieve. Difficult to get but try to get freezers with power utilization less than 100 watts. That way even with a small generator you can power more freezers. A KILL-A-WATT meter is your friend in this instance.

Whatever you do ensure you check the power rating. The wattage of the freezer is very key to the future use of the freezer in Nigeria.

three to four things are key for me when buying a freezer.

1. Power usage is it energy friendly. I will go for a freezer with lower power wattage anytime any day i.e so check out the energy consumption per year.

2. Is the freezer tropicalized.

3. Freezing capacity per 24hrs.

4. Defrost rate per 24 hours.

Thanks Deking, I actually thought that the thread had outlived its usefulness. A lot of people followed thwe thread for a while, a few followers invested in FMCG businesses f their choice; some under my guidance and some on their own. Some of the investors fell aside on the journey and quite a few transformed their thinking into mega status.

I am happy a few people also appreciate the effort I put into this thread. On the whole I am happy that it was helpful to a few Nairalanders.

We will fill our ink jar and revisit this thread essentially every other day.

You really think Custom officers will have the nerve to stop Saraki or Dino's convoy when they are on the move? It is you poverty-infested zombies who throw owambe when you buy your first Golf 2 and 3 that will be their target.
And when that happens, make sure you lament in silence and don't come here crying.

This is the understanding of someone who is myopic or lacks depth of thinking about this policy. There are no quick wins to fixing a country. In the scenario you have painted one would expect that the public discuss would be how to make the policy more effective without bringing unnecessary hardship on the citizens.

Can it be improved upon? Yes.
Who will assist in identifying the possible loop-holes ? We citizens.
Why the citizens? They are familiar with all the channels that government officials use to circumvent the system and cheat on citizens daily.

This is the way countries build systems.

Seeing most car owners would have misplaced their custom papers especially for cars bought around a decade ago or through dealers.

Are you able to verify with the VIN number of the car.

Many Nigerians really are only against corruption as long as it doesn't affect them. Truth is this is the way to go to bring sanity back into the system. Nigerians should focus on assisting the custom with ideas that will make the process effective and transparent.

People say was it not the customs that allowed it to pass through before, but the reality and truth is it is not the same custom. While the name remains the leadership is different.

Funny that people who dress like herbalist to the hallowed chambers of the national assembly are the ones championing the call for him to wear a uniform by all means.

Only the president will decide if he must wear or not wear as there is no law of the land that specifically states that.

He can wear mufti if he has a presidential waiver which I believe he has.
